Filed to story: Sinful Mates (Imogen) Book by Jessica Hall
“Hey, Imogen,” she greets.
Theo takes off his shirt and hands it to her. Not once did he even look at her body, his eyes not leaving my stunned ones. I don’t know how he doesn’t look, she’s gorgeous, even naked; I’m having a hard time taking my eyes off her.
She pulls his shirt over her head. “Eww, so gross,” she cringes at the blood on the shirt that’s sticking to her like a second skin and goes to her thighs.
“What are you doing here?”
“Alpha called, said his mate needed to be found. You owe me fifty bucks, Derek,” she says, nudging the wolf beside her with her knee. My eyebrows furrow and I hear Tobias shifting behind me. His arms wrap around my waist, his face going to my neck as he inhales my scent. I take comfort in his touch, sparks moving over my skin. I look at Merida, puzzled. She’s clearly comfortable with nudity as she doesn’t even glance at Tobias, standing naked next to me.
“Oh, we had a bet. I knew you were their mate; this idiot is my brother, Derek. He bet you weren’t,” she explains, shrugging her shoulders.
“That one is Floyd, my Beta,” Tobias says, pointing to the other gray wolf. Beta? What is a Beta? As confused as I am, I’m glad they showed up. But how did they find me?
“Beta?”
“I will explain later.” My entire body starts to calm down with his closeness. The heat even dies down under his touch.
Merida walks over to my car and opens the door. “Man, this car has had a rough life,” she says, getting in the driver’s seat. I chuckle, yes it has had it rough. I wonder why she hates working under them if she’s a werewolf too. Or is it just Theo who scares her?
Merida grabs my bag out and tosses it to me. I try to catch it, when suddenly, Theo’s hand catches it before I can grab it; I freeze. His hand moves toward my face and he cups my cheek. As soon as he touches my skin, I relax into his hand, leaning my head onto it.
Merida walks over and pops the trunk. I glance at her before I see her walk over and pick up the head off the ground, chucking it in the trunk like it’s a ball.
“You head back, we will clean this mess, boss,” says another man, coming up behind us. He has long blonde hair that sits on his shoulders and man is he hung like a horse. I can’t take my eyes off his body. I feel my face heat up before cold hands go over my eyes. Is it just me or are all werewolves just born to look like gods?
“Pervert,” Theo whispers next to me, before removing his hands. The man is now standing with one of my shirts covering his manhood. I raise an eyebrow.
He holds the piece of fabric with one hand before holding out his other for me to shake, I quickly shake it. “I’m Floyd.”
“Imogen,” I say.
“Oh, I know who you are,” he says with a wink.
“How did you find me?” I ask, turning to Theo.
He steps closer, his chest pressing against mine. Leaning in, his lips brush my neck before pressing softly to my mark. I shiver. “Your mark. We will always find you while you bear our mark,” he whispers against my skin. For the first time I’m actually happy they did mark me.
“Kind of like a homing beacon, just doesn’t give us an exact location, more a feeling of direction,” confirms Tobias.
Well, I’m glad it’s correct then. I watch as Merida and Floyd dump body parts in the trunk of my car.
“Who are they?”
“Rogues, you can’t leave when you’re in heat, Imogen. It’s too dangerous,” Tobias says behind me.
“Yeah, I could smell you from miles away before we found you,” Merida speaks up while picking up a bloodied leg and tossing it in the trunk.
“So, all werewolves can smell me?”
“No, mainly just males and me because I’m your mate,” answers Theo.
“How come Merida could smell me then?”
