Chapter 632 – I Got Married Without You Novel

Filed to story: I Got Married Without You

“I won’t do anything to you for Eva’s sake, but there must be an explanation for this matter. I believe Eva wouldn’t mind.”

Having his own leverage spoken so bluntly by Andrew did make Jayden somewhat embarrassed. It’s no wonder he’s the boss of Evans’, he speaks with confidence. “So, Mr. Evans, what do you want me to do?”

Andrew smirked.

“What do you think?”

This rhetorical question was equivalent to giving Jayden the power to choose, allowing him to willingly pay the price for what he had done.

But Jayden was not convinced…

“Mr. Evans, if it were Ryan who kept pursuing your wife to reconcile, what would you do?”

Stella and Andrey, who were waiting nearby, looked at each other after hearing this, thinking that Jayden was too audacious to dare to bring up Ryan.

That young man was Rosalyn’s first love, someone she had relied on for many years, and a taboo in Andrew’ heart. He was an insurmountable obstacle in this lifetime. As Eva’s boyfriend, Jayden should be aware of these things.

Even if he wasn’t aware, he should have noticed when Eva took him to meet Ryan, right?

Did he really think Mr. Evans would spare him because of Eva and not lay a hand on him, just like with Ryan?

If it were in the past, this sentence would have torn Andrew apart, but now that he has Rosalyn, he seems much calmer.

“No one can be Ryan.”

What he means is that Ryan is not like Paul. Ryan would not appear before them after they got married and beg for reconciliation. This metaphor does not exist.

“So, Mr. Evans also thinks that what Paul did was wrong?”

Jayden is good at finding the key points of the problem. Even Stella and Andrey wouldn’t have asked such a question.

“I didn’t say he was wrong.”

Jayden wanted to get this kind of answer and couldn’t help but show a triumphant smile.

“If Mr. Evans thinks he was wrong, then why bother coming to me for trouble?”

“I came to you for the trouble you deliberately provoked with Paul. You better make that clear.”

He doesn’t care about Jayden and Eva’s affairs. What he cares about is Jayden’s manipulation and causing Paul to be misunderstood. But Jayden wants to mix everything together. “Mr. Evans, the reason why I manipulated things is because he kept trying to reconcile with Eva. If I didn’t do this, he would have kept hovering around me and Eva. I had a reason for what I did, so he has to bear the consequences. Am I right?”

At this point, Andrew finally understood why Eva chose to forgive Jayden.

“You’re really good at arguing. You’re wasting your talent being a doctor.”

Jayden doesn’t like it when people compare his personal behavior with his profession as a doctor.

“Mr. Evans, being a doctor is my dream. Please don’t make fun of me.”

When Jayden said this, there was a polite smile on his face, as if Andrew had said something inappropriate and he was politely counterattacking.

Andrew wasn’t actually mocking his profession. He just felt that from the moment he first saw Jayden, he felt that he was not genuine. He never expected to be proven right.

“You may have had a reason, but you shouldn’t have used such methods. They’re neither honorable nor upright.”

Jayden shrugged nonchalantly.

“So what? At least it keeps Eva by my side, doesn’t it?”

With his tone and gesture, it seemed as if he was saying, “Look, Paul is like a fool, always begging for reconciliation, not knowing any tricks. In the end, he was misunderstood and abandoned by Eva. On the other hand, I played some little schemes and Eva chose me. That’s the right way.”

Andrew couldn’t agree with Jayden’s values, but he didn’t argue with him either. He raised an eyebrow and asked him:

“So, how long do you think you can keep her?”

Jayden suddenly fell silent, as if he also understood that Eva’s heart wasn’t with him anymore. The leverage he once had suddenly became useless.

Andrew, who had been sitting behind his desk the whole time, stood up slightly. He was ten centimeters taller than Jayden, and the overwhelming feeling of being looked down upon was suffocating.

Andrew took a step forward, and Jayden instinctively took a step back. It seemed that only by keeping a distance from him could he avoid being oppressed by his powerful aura.

Men who have been in high positions for a long time naturally have an inherent aggressiveness. Just a downward glance was enough to subdue Jayden, robbing him of even the courage to raise his head again.

“Jayden, regardless of how many reasonable excuses you have, they have nothing to do with me. All I know is that my brother has never been bullied like this before. I brought you here just to seek justice for him. If you understand, then come up with a solution directly. If you don’t understand, then follow my rules.”

What were his rules?

Jayden had been working at his hospital for so long, so naturally, he had heard about them.

It was said that Evans, the boss, directly eliminates employees who commit major mistakes.

Andrew, who possessed immense power, might very well make impossible for him to survive in the medical field for the sake of his brother.

But Jayden really couldn’t accept it!

Why could Paul get away with his misdeeds just because of his family background?

And he, who only resorted to some tactics to keep his girlfriend, would have to suffer retaliation?

Jayden deeply despised those who held unimaginable power and could crush everything with just their words!

“Even Eva has already forgiven me. Why does Mr. Evans still cling to it?”

If it were someone else, they might have been swayed by Jayden’s words and even believed that he was not at fault, and that everything was Paul’s fault.

But sorry, the person standing in front of Jayden was not Eva, but the highly rational and composed Andrew.

“Jayden, I have already made myself clear. I won’t repeat it a second time. You have five minutes to think about it.”

In other words, Andrew believed in the principle of an eye for an eye and was determined to see it through. No matter what Jayden said, he wouldn’t waver even a bit.

Jayden became somewhat frustrated and clenched his fists. “Mr. Evans, didn’t you do the same thing as me back then? Didn’t you use some means to snatch Rosalyn from Ryan?”

If it was just mentioned once, it could be considered unintentional, but the second time, it was a blatant provocation.

The contradiction provoked by Jayden’s words is not just about falsely accusing Paul, but also a sarcastic remark about Mr. Evans’ character.

Stella instinctively broke out in a cold sweat for Jayden and spoke up before Mr. Evans got angry.
