Chapter 479 – She Is The Campus Prince Novel Free Online By Alyssa Fox

Filed to story: That Campus Prince Is a Girl

As soon as she realized what she was doing, Vicki hurried back home, annoyed with herself.

Meanwhile, in Viremont…

“Hey, is that Eddie?”

Cameron asked, spotting a figure that looked a lot like Eddie through the window. Bradley replied, “Probably not. Eddie’s in Regalburg right now, chasing after the girl he likes.”

“Brad, look,” Cameron said, reaching out to push the window open.

Cameron stood up and walked over to the window, intending to open it.

Bradley’s reaction was immediate, as if he were facing a serious threat. He quickly grabbed her arm. “Cam, don’t move.”

Cameron looked at him helplessly. “Brad, I’m just trying to open the window.”

Bradley placed his hand gently over her abdomen through her clothes. “You’re pregnant. Lifting your arms could strain your belly.”

Cameron was speechless.

Just because she was pregnant didn’t mean she couldn’t take care of herself.

Ever since she got pregnant, Bradley had been ridiculously tense, on edge every single day.

But as for Cameron, she barely felt any difference. She didn’t even get morning sickness.

She only found out she was pregnant because her period, which was always on time, was late for over ten days, so she took a test.

Now, three months along, she still didn’t really feel any different.

However, the people around her were all on edge.

Bradley was the worst of them all.

She was just reaching out to open a window, and he got super anxious.

Cameron could only sigh and go along with it.

Finally, she managed to open the window. Sure enough, Eddie was standing outside.

“It really is Eddie,” Cameron said.

Bradley helped her sit back down before saying, “I’ll check it out.”

He reminded her not to move around before heading out.

Eddie was leaning against the courtyard wall, dozens of cigarette butts scattered at his feet. He held a lit cigarette between his fingers, looking completely worn out.

When Bradley saw him, he paused. “Eddie? What’s wrong?”

Eddie flicked his cigarette away and crushed it under his foot. “Brad, I came to see you and Cam.”

His voice was incredibly hoarse.

He had left Regalburg overnight.

After thinking long and hard, he came to find Bradley.

After all, he had nowhere else to go.

“Come in,” Bradley said.

Eddie nodded and followed him.

At the door, Bradley helped Eddie take off his coat, which carried an intense smell of tobacco.

“Eddie, go take a shower in the guest room first. Cam’s pregnant; you’d better wash off that smell,” Bradley said.

“Okay,” Eddie nodded and silently hurried upstairs.

Bradley immediately called a maid over and told her to get rid of the smoke smell in the air.

Half an hour later, after his shower, Eddie came downstairs in Bradley’s clothes..

Since they were about the same build, Bradley’s clothes fit him just right.

Cameron was sitting on the couch. When she saw him coming down, she called out, “Eddie.”

Eddie forced a smile. “Cam, you’re looking pretty well.”

She held a peeled apple as she said, “But you look pretty tired.”

Eddie tried to force a smile but failed.

Bradley wrapped an arm around Cameron, his eyes glinting with curiosity behind those gold-rimmed glasses. “Eddie, is your quest for love hitting some roadblocks?”

Eddie let out a bitter laugh. “Quest for love? Am I even worthy of that?”

Bradley and Cameron exchanged a look.

Eddie was seriously down in the dumps.

He had once suffered from severe depression, often hurting himself late at night, leaving scars all over his body.

It wasn’t until his niece-Osborne’s daughter-returned to the Saunders family that things started to change. That little girl was so adorable, her smile pure and angelic. With her by his side, Eddie finally started to climb out of his depression.

But now, seeing the way Eddie was, Bradley couldn’t help but feel like he was about to slip back into that darkness all over again.

Bradley frowned. “Eddie, what exactly happened?”

Eddie leaned back listlessly on the couch, his gaze unfocused. “It’s nothing. I’m just coming to terms with reality, that’s all.”

Eddie wasn’t ready to talk, and neither Bradley nor Cameron wanted to push him.

Cameron said, “Eddie, you look exhausted. Why don’t you go get some rest?”

“That’s probably a good idea,” Eddie, replied, standing up.

Eddie ended up staying with Cameron and Bradley for half a month.

During his stay, Bradley had the foresight to put away all the sharp objects in the house.

Cameron was worried, “Brad, this isn’t working. Should we tell your parents?”

Bradley gently ruffled her hair. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. You’re pregnant. Let me handle it.”

Cameron hugged him softly. “Then please try to help Eddie, okay?”

Bradley kissed her forehead. “I will.”

Soon, Bradley found Eddie beside the window.

Eddie was sitting in front of it, staring blankly outside.

Bradley patted his shoulder and sat down beside him. “Eddie, you can’t keep running away like this.”

Eddie turned to look at him, murmuring, “Running away?”

Bradley met his melancholy gaze. “Isn’t that what you’re doing?”

Eddie couldn’t deny it.

He was indeed running away.

When he found out that Vicki knew about his shameful past, he didn’t even have the courage to face her.

He hid away in Viremont, neglected his own psychology practice, cut off contact with everyone except Bradley, and tried to disappear from his family.

But what was the point?

The problem was still there, staring him in the face

Bradley said, “Eddie, you either need to take the leap or cut it off for good. Stop torturing yourself.”

Eddie lowered his gaze, saying nothing.

Take the leap?

Then what? Let Vicki turn him down?
