“Victoria, you raised him to be like this? I’m deeply disappointed.”

“Mrs. Campbell, you have to protect our children. As parents, we can’t accept our kids being in the same school as a child like that. If my son gets hurt next, I won’t let it go.”

The parents’ voices rose, pressing in. Tracy let out a weary sigh and looked at Victoria, her tone grave. “Ms. Lewis, Robert pushed another kid around on purpose at school. His behavior’s really messed up things for Eaton Kindergarten. As the principal… I’ve got no choice but to discipline him.”

Victoria almost laughed out loud at that.

So quick to point the finger at Robert? Eaton’s judgment was hasty, to say the least.

They were ready to convict Robert based on a blurry, partially blocked video that showed almost nothing!

It was ridiculous.

Victoria pulled Robert protectively behind her, meeting the crowd’s stares with a cold gaze. “If I’m not mistaken, that was Robert’s personal cup, wasn’t it?”

Her question made everyone glance at Jenarth, who was still nestled in Isabella’s arms.

Jenarth peeked out, his voice small and wounded. “I… I just started school. I don’t have my own cup yet. Robert is my brother, so I thought it was okay to use his. I didn’t know there was egg in it…”

His eyes welled up with tears as he continued, clearly upset. “I felt so sick, so I went to Robert for help. But he said… he said I had it coming, that I’d be better off dead… I just tried to pull his sleeve, to ask him to get a teacher, and then he pushed me!”

“I didn’t push him. He fell by himself. The egg thing has even less to do with me,” Robert stated, a flash of contempt in his eyes. “And if I really wanted to deal with him, I wouldn’t use a stupid trick like that.”

“Listen to him! Did you all hear that arrogance?” A parent began, criticizing Robert’s attitude loudly.

Isabella hugged Jenarth tighter, her voice thick with tears. “Jenarth trusted you as his brother! That’s the only reason he used your cup! And you treat him like this? You have a cruel heart, Robert.”

She broke down sobbing. “Ms. Lewis, everyone saw the video. I understand you want to defend your son, but every parent here loves their child too.”

“Don’t cry, Mommy,” Jenarth said, patting her arm. “It’s okay. I can handle a little unfairness.”

Witnessing Jenarth’s apparent maturity, other parents shook their heads and murmured their disapproval. “Eaton Kindergarten is an elite school. How can they allow a child who hurts others to stay? We need a proper answer for this.”

Another parent chimed in, “It’s true. Jenarth’s been trying to be friendly with Robert from the start, but Robert just wasn’t having it. That’s on Robert.”

“I saw it myself,” another voice added. “Jenarth said hello, and Robert just ignored him and walked away.”

Other children began speaking up too, adding their own accounts of what they had witnessed.

Hearing this, the parents became even more convinced that Robert was to blame. Their disapproval of Victoria for defending her son was clear on their faces.

“Listen, ma’am,” one parent said sharply, “you need to make your son apologize, take responsibility for his actions, and promise the teachers he won’t bully other children. Do that, and he might be allowed to stay at Eaton Kindergarten. Refuse, and he’s out. Today.”

“This is a private institution. Who the heck takes their kid to school on a shared bike?!” another muttered dismissively.

“With behavior like his, that boy doesn’t belong here. He needs to be expelled.”

Some parents, looking down on Victoria for her mode of transport, let their bias show. They wished she and her son would just vanish.

Victoria pulled Robert firmly behind her, her gaze icy as it swept over the crowd. “No one is touching my son today.”

Her intense desire to protect only made the crowd more hostile.

“See? That’s exactly how kids learn to be rude – when their parents act like this!”

“Absolutely. Rude parents, rude kids. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I wonder what she teaches him at home.”

“Expel him! He needs to go right now!”

The accusations flew, and the parents grew more and more agitated.

Carter looked at Victoria and shook his head in disappointment. The evidence seemed clear to him, yet Victoria was stubbornly shielding Robert.

If Robert has done wrong, why couldn’t he just admit it?

All he has to do is apologize in front of everyone, and that’s too much for this spoiled boy?

And Victoria, still defending him. She has no sense of propriety at all.

That country girl – always so unreasonable and wild.

“Victoria, make Robert apologize,” Carter commanded, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Victoria shot him a cold, mocking smile. “Carter, I’m starting to think you’re not just blind and heartless, but your IQ must have dropped into the negatives.” She snorted. “Anyone with a functioning brain can see that video proves nothing. Sure, it shows Jenarth taking Robert’s cup. But does it show Robert putting anything inside it?”

“The children saw it! Robert clearly has a grudge against Jenarth. He could have slipped something into that cup when the teacher’s back was turned! Jenarth went into anaphylactic shock – if the doctor hadn’t been here, who knows what might have happened…” a parent argued passionately in Jenarth’s defense.

“I saw Robert ignoring Jenarth, and then he shouted at him. Jenarth looked really sad. Later, I saw scratches on Jenarth’s hand.

Robert did it,” a child piped up, pointing at Robert. “I saw it.”

“All the children say they witnessed Robert bullying Jenarth. What do you have to say to that now?” A parent’s voice rose above the others.

“Exactly. Jenarth is new. To bully him like this is just cruel. He’s allergic to eggs, and someone deliberately put egg bits in his cup. If he ends up dead, it will be a disaster!”

“Everyone, please, calm down. Let’s stop this arguing,” Tracy interjected, trying to play peacemaker. She addressed the crowd with a serious expression. “This incident occurred at Eaton, and as principal, I share the responsibility. I promise I will give everyone a proper explanation.”

Having said that, she turned to Victoria. Her previously friendly demeanor was gone, replaced by a chilly formality.

“Ms. Lewis, what Robert did has really hurt our school’s name. As principal, I gotta answer to everyone. You now have two choices.” She held up two fingers. “One, make Robert apologize publicly to everyone, especially to

Jenarth. Then, we will consider whether he can remain at this school.”

Tracy glanced briefly at Carter, then raised her chin slightly. “Two, if you refuse, we will have no choice but to take the most severe action. Eaton will have to expel Robert.”

Faced with the wall of accusations, Victoria just let out a derisive laugh. “It seems Eaton isn’t as prestigious as people claim. Even if you begged me now, I wouldn’t let my son stay at a school like this.”

“Ha! Did you hear that? She’s still putting on airs! With a son like that, she dares to look down on Eaton Kindergarten? What a joke.”

“Eaton is the place for Capaville’s elite. Get expelled from here, and he’s essentially blacklisted everywhere. No other decent school will take him,” a parent sneered. “Lady, stop talking big. You’ll come crawling back to Mrs. Campbell later, full of regrets. Mrs. Campbell is being completely fair.”

With the parents firmly on her side, Tracy felt her confidence swell. Even Carter, the former head of the Myers Group – Robert’s own father – wasn’t speaking up to defend the boy now.

She looked at Victoria and let out a heavy sigh. “Ms. Lewis, Robert’s got a really bad attitude and he actually hurt another kid. As principal of Eaton Kindergarten, it is my duty to formally expel him. Effective immediately, he is no longer a student here.”

“This place is a joke. I’m not wasting another second here,” Robert shot back, tilting his chin up with a defiant glare that showed exactly how little he cared.

His blatant disrespect only fueled the parents’ anger. They pressed Tracy harder, acting like Robert was totally ruining the school’s vibe just by being there.

“A school like this is a bad influence. Enrolling a child here is just asking for trouble,” Victoria stated flatly, taking Robert’s hand. “Let’s go, Robert.”

“Fine by me,” Robert agreed without a moment’s hesitation.

“Wait just a minute!” This time, it was Isabella who stopped them.

Her face was like stone. She stared at Victoria, her eyes burning with anger.
