Filed to story: That Campus Prince Is a Girl
As for Elijah, newly aware Cameron was a girl, he was still reveling in the joy. Fearful of inadvertently revealing his feelings too obviously, he dared not seek her out, not wanting to end up like Austin, unable to even be friends with her.
Bradley showed remarkable patience.
College life was full of new experiences, so he deliberated and decided not to disturb Cameron for the time being.
On the first Sunday of October, Cameron went alone to the nearest 45 shop to buy a car. She needed wheels to conveniently visit her company.
Though David was running the company and she trusted him, it was still hers-she couldn’t truly ignore it all.
After outlining her budget and needs to the salesperson, he led her to a black Volvo.
“Sir, how about this car? Please have a seat and try it out,” the salesperson said earnestly, holding open the door.
Cameron didn’t correct his address. Nodding, she was about to get in when someone called her name.
“Cameron, it really is you! What are you doing here?” The one who stopped her was her roommate, Sienna in a 4S shop uniform and holding promotional flyers-apparently working a weekend part-time.
Cameron was surprised too. “Yeah, What a coincidence.”
The salesperson hadn’t expected Sienna to know Cameron and quickly gestured to her, hoping their connection would seal the deal. But get it. She asked Cameron, “Are you here for a part-time job too?”
Cameron was speechless.
The salesperson glared at Sienna. “Are you stupid? This sir is here to buy a car.” na didn’t
“Buy a car?” Sienna was astonished. This brand’s cars weren’t cheap-even a basic model cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. The latest models in front of Cameron were even pricier.
In Sienna’s eyes, Cameron, who she thought was as poor as her family, couldn’t afford this.
Cameron nodded. “Yes, I’m here to buy a car.”
Sienna was beyond shocked, realizing she’d misunderstood-Cameron’s family must be wealthy.
Standing there, Sienna felt like a fool.
Cameron noticed her expression and said naturally, “Sienna, come take a look at this car. We might go out together often in the future-your input would help.”
Sienna stared at Cameron in disbelief, touched by the trust.
Delighted, she gently ran a hand over the expensive bodywork. “These cars are all great.”
The salesperson said, “Please try it out. Sienna, join Mr. Wallace for the test.”
“Mr. Wallace?” Sienna finally noticed the salesperson’s address for Cameron and corrected him, “She’s a girl.”
The salesperson froze after hearing that.
While the salesperson was still reeling from realizimeton remaining paperwork. was a girl, she swiftly paid and drove off in the car. The salesperson would handle the
As Cameron drove, Sienna sat in the passenger seat, clutching her seatbelt nervously. “Cameron, this car is stunning,” she said.
Cameron nodded. “It’s not bad.”
Sienna added enviously, “You’re amazing to buy a car at such a young age.” She glanced at Cameron tentatively. “Is your family wealthy?” Otherwise, Cameron wouldn’t afford such an expensive car.
Cameron turned the steering wheel. “I used my own money.”
“Your own money?” Sienna exclaimed, shocked.
The car cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, which was much beyond a college student could afford.
Cameron explained, “I got a scholarship for my SAT scores and work part-time at a pharmaceutical company.”
“Pharmaceutical company?” Sienna’s eyes lit up.
Cameron nodded. “It’s a new company.”
Sienna blurted out, “Are they hiring?” Then she winced at her own abruptness. “Sorry, I don’t mean to ask you to recommend me-I was just curious.”
“Sure,” Cameron said after a moment’s pause.
“What?” Sienna turned to her in surprise.
Cameron said, “I can recommend you for a part-time position if you’re interested.”
“Really?” Sienna beamed. Working at a pharmaceutical company aligned with her post-graduation goals-this was a stroke of luck.
Cameron nodded.
“Thank you so much, Cameron!” Sienna exclaimed, nearly hugging her before reminding herself that Cameron was driving.
Back at school, Cameron called David about Sienna’s part-time job. He agreed without hesitation.
As she headed for her dorm, Cameron received a call from Noir ?clat. They informed her The Starry collection would launch in a week, with a pre-launch show the night before, and invited her as the designer.
Cameron didn’t commit fully, only saying she’d attend if she had time. The staff promised to send tickets regardless.
Pushing open the dorm door, Cameron heard Amelia ask, “Who wants to join me at Noir ?clat’s domestic new product launch next week?”
“Wow, Noir ?clat?” Lila exclaimed. “I love their products, especially the Starry collection by winner C from the design contest-I’m obsessed!”
Amelia smiled. “The launch is next week.”
Lila squealed excitedly. “I want to go!”
Amelia spotted Cameron entering.
Just as Lila reached for a ticket, Amelia held up her hand. “I only have two tickets.”
She turned to Cameron. “Do you want to go?”
Cameron replied, “Oh, I have a ticket.”
“You do?” Amelia said, surprised.
“Cam!” Lila rushed to her. “Do you have an extra? Can i have it?”
Cameron said, “I’m not going-you can take it.”
“Are you sure?” Lila hesitated.
Cameron shook her head. “Fashion isn’t really my thing.”
Lila cheered. “Thank you so much! I’ll treat you to dinner later.”
Amelia frowned at the two tickets in her hand. She’d hoped to go with Cameron but would have thought Cameron wasn’t interested in the fashion show
Tuming to Sienna, Amelia asked, “Do you want to go? I have an extra ticket.”
Sienna replied, “If Cameron’s not going, I’ll skip it too.”
Amelia turned to Lila. “Don’t take Cameron’s ticket-here, take mine.”
“Okay.” Lila didn’t care whose ticket it was, as long as she could attend.
“Cameron, come with us,” Amelia pleaded again.
Cameron said, “I’m not sure if I’ll have time.”
She worried Sienna might feel left out since everyone else in the dorm had tickets. Though they hadn’t bonded much, Cameron could tell Sienna was sensitive and insecure.
As expected, Sienna relaxed when Cameron didn’t agree.
David quickly arranged an interview for Sienna, who’d work part-time on Saturdays and Sundays at a hundred dollars a day. Earning eight hundred dollars a month would cover her living expenses perfectly. Sienna thought Cameron was incredibly reliable
Another week flew by, and Cameron eventually gave her fashion show ticket to Sienna.
Sienna hesitated. “Cameron, if I go, you can’t.”
Cameron said, “I’m busy that day-hanging out with a friend.”
“Really?” Sienna asked.
Cameron nodded. She did have plans. To be more specific, a friend had invited her out.
Bradley had messaged her days earlier, saying he’d take her somewhere on Saturday but refused to say where. Cameron agreed out of her trust for him.
On Saturday night, everyone in Room 201 except Cameron dressed up for the show.
