“Is everything okay? Your mom and dad are fine, right?” I asked worriedly.
“Yes… They are doing good. My dad got some issues with his business work, and he needed my support. ” he replied.
“Then okay… I was worried thinking if something has happened to your family…” I said.
“No… Don’t worry, babe… So, how is your day?” he asked.
Should I tell him about Mr. Patterson’s mom and his call to me? No… He is already in some struggle. I should not make him bothered anymore.
“My day is just, as usual, Jake… But how you attend to any of the matters, you can’t even walk properly.” I said sadly, remembering how he walked using crutches…
“That’s alright, Sarah… Clark is also with me, and he helps me with everything,” he said.
“I wish I am with you too, Jake… I miss you really a lot.” I said.
“I know Princess… Don’t worry, all our problems will be solved soon… Then I will take you here and introduce you to my mom and dad…” he said, smiling.

“Sarah… I got to go… I will call you when I get time again. Stay safe, okay?” he said.

During the whole evening, I couldn’t get my mind off from what Mr. Patterson told me. How hard it should be to lose someone you love so much? What happens if I lose my Jake? I would kill my self too. There is no doubt… I am so stupid. I shouldn’t even think of losing my Jake… I have to be positive always…
I thought Mr. Patterson would call me again. But he didn’t. Jake also didn’t call me again. His phone was switched off… So, I went to sleep at around 10.30.
I was in a deep sleep when I heard my phone was ringing. For some reason, as soon as I heard the rings, I felt that something really bad has happened. The call was from Mr. Patterson.
“Hello…” I answered the call.
“I lost her, Sarah… She left me forever…” his voice raised between cries.
Oh my God!!! Without even knowing, my eyes filled with tears.
“Oh, God! Mr. Patterson, I am so sorry…”
“What should I do now, Sarah? For whom should I live anymore? Tell me, Sarah, what is the purpose of my life?” he was crying loudly. It was so damn hard to stand it…
“Please, Mr. Patterson… Please don’t think like that… Even if she left, she is still there looking at you. Just think how sad she will be if she sees you like this…” I said. I don’t know if that’s the right thing to say in a moment like this. But I had to tell something. I couldn’t let him just cry like that…
“I don’t have anyone, Sarah… I don’t even have someone to cry with… When I lose Lilly, my mom was there, holding me. But now, I don’t have anyone…” God! he is so pained… What should I do now? Please God, tell me what should I do now?

“Please send me the address… I will come in the morning.” I said.
“No… I will send a vehicle to your place… When should I send it?” he asked.

I came back to my senses after he hung up. God! what have I done? I didn’t know what to do now?

“Mr. Patterson’s mom has passed away…”I said.

“Luke, he has just lost his mom!” I said again.
“I heard you the first time, Sarah…” he said.

“He is really devastated, Luke… He has no one with him… ” I said.

“I told him that I would come there…” I said after a pause…

“He was crying, Luke… I couldn’t bear it… I told him, I would come there to stay with him…” I said.

Are you his girlfriend?
