Filed to story: That Campus Prince Is a Girl

Vicki looked at him with a bright smile. “Eddie, you look so handsome today.”

Eddie was dressed in a perfectly tailored charcoal gray suit, tall and striking-just standing there was enough for him to become a head- turner.

Eddie’s smile grew wider, and he couldn’t take his eyes off her. “You look stunning as well,” he said, and he meant every word.

“Thanks,” Vicki said with a smirk.

Beth and Camilla watched as Eddie treated Vicki so differently from everyone else-it was obvious to anyone paying attention.

Beth let out a helpless sigh. “Camilla, what is Eddie even thinking? If he likes Vicki, why doesn’t he just make a move?”

Camilla slipped her arm through her mom’s. “Mom, Eddie’s a grown man now. He has his own way of doing things. We don’t need interfere.”

Beth sighed again.

She’d noticed Eddie had a thing for Vicki years ago, back during that whole incident with the Quinn family.

But after all these years, nothing had ever happened between them.

‘These young people’s thoughts are just too hard to guess,’ Beth thought.

Ever since Vicki walked into the party, it was like Eddie only had eyes for her-no one else even existed in his world.

The other socialites got the hint and kept their distance.

When Baron saw Eddie and Vicki chatting and laughing together, looking so happy, he frowned but didn’t say anything.

By the time the party was almost over, Vicki was already tipsy, her steps unsteady as she struggled to stay upright.

Just as she was about to trip, Eddie quickly reached out and grabbed her arm.

The next second, Vicki tumbled straight into his arms.

Eddie was shocked, his entire body stiffened.

Then, Vicki’s hand slipped around Eddie’s waist.

His waist went rigid instantly.

He was so stunned he didn’t even know what to do, let alone say anything.

Vicki leaned into his arms, mumbling softly, “Eddie, my foot hurts so much.”

Only then did Eddie snap out of his daze. He quickly looked down at Vicki’s foot. “Your foot hurts? What happened? Did you twist your ankle?”

He was clearly anxious.

Vicki pressed her lips together.

‘He sounds concerned. He still likes me after all these years, doesn’t he?’ Vicki thought to herself.

She kept hugging his waist as she continued, “I’ve been standing in these heels all night. It hurts so much.”

Eddie lowered his gaze to the girl in his arms.

Vicki looked up at him, her cheeks rosy from the alcohol, her eyes dewy and shimmering as she gazed at him, acting all cute and clingy like a kitten with its owner.

Eddie’s heart thudded hard.

He quickly averted his eyes, forcing himself to calm down. “I… I’ll help you sit down over there.”

“But I don’t want to,” Vicki pouted. “I’m sleepy. I want to go back to my room and sleep.”

Eddie nodded. “Okay, I’ll help you back to your room.”

Vicki clung to his waist, refusing to budge. “Eddie, my foot hurts. I don’t want to walk. Carry me,

Eddie stared at her, completely stunned. please.”

‘Is she really asking me to carry her?’ Eddie thought, stunned. ‘Doesn’t she mind being this close to me?’

Seeing Eddie standing there, frozen, Vicki urged, “Eddie, hurry up. My foot really hurts.”

Eddie’s mind was buzzing. He had no idea how he managed to scoop Vicki up in his arms.

Vicki’s hand, which had been wrapped around his waist, now slid up to his neck, and she rested her head on his shoulder.

A storm was raging in Eddie’s heart, but he did his best to remain calm.

His legs felt weak as he carried Vicki out of the banquet hall.

Vicki’s soft hair teasingly brushed against his neck, making his skin tingle as if he’d been shocked.

Eddie’s heart was pounding so hard it felt like it might burst.

His mind was a total blur, and without even realizing it, he carried Vicki straight back to his own room.

He was about to set her down on the sofa when Vicki quickly called out, “Eddie, put me on the bed.”

Eddie did as she asked.

He gently laid Vicki down on the bed, but just as he was about to get up, her hand around his neck tightened, refusing to let go.

“Vicki?” Eddie called out to her, only to realize his voice was hoarse.

Suddenly, Vicki wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down, causing Eddie to fall directly on top of her.

Eddie almost couldn’t react.

He tried to get up, but Vicki wouldn’t let go of his neck.

He was completely stuck.

Or maybe… he just didn’t want to move away.

Vicki’s eyes shimmered with tears as she looked up at Eddie, her dewy gaze meeting his alluring eyes. “Eddie Saunders, why didn’t you come looking for me all this time?”

“I…” Eddie choked out.

But before Eddie could say another word, Vicki suddenly held him closer and pressed her lips to his.

As he felt the softness of her lips, Eddie’s mind went completely blank.

Vicki started kissing him, awkward and inexperienced, but taking the initiative.

She squeezed her eyes shut.

Eddie felt bewitched; he couldn’t help himself. Slowly, he closed his eyes, his whole body trembling as he responded to her kiss.

Vicki hugged Eddie tightly, tears slipping from the corners of her eyes.

Over the past two years, she’d tried dating a couple of guys. They were both outstanding, and on the surface, they seemed like a great match for her.

But whenever they tried to get closer to her physically, she just couldn’t stand it.

So, both relationships ended in less than a month.

Vicki didn’t understand why she felt this sway.

But when it came to Eddie, she never felt uncomfortable with his touch.

Her body was always more honest than her heart.

Eddie’s kiss had completely gone wild.

He had been longing for this moment for years.

His lips lingered from her mouth to her slender neck, while his hands, driven by instinct, started to undo her dress.

“Eddie…” Vicki called out, her voice trembling with nervousness.

That single word was enough to snap Eddie-who had almost completely lost control-back to his senses in an instant.

His movements froze, and the hand that had just found the zipper of Vicki’s dress jerked back like he’d been burned.

He immediately moved away from her.

Vicki grabbed his wrist. “Eddie? What’s wrong?”
