Chapter 470 – She Is The Campus Prince Novel Free Online By Alyssa Fox

Filed to story: That Campus Prince Is a Girl

Vicki couldn’t help but think, ‘Oh my, Eddie is really handsome. No wonder he’s the brother who looks most like Cami.’ But she kept those thoughts to herself.

After all, her brother Baron had warned her not to have any contact with Eddie.

Vicki simply gave Eddie a polite smile, nodded, and walked away.

Eddie nodded in return.

Seeing Vicki leave, he didn’t follow. Instead, he stood by the restroom door for a few minutes, deliberately waiting so their paths wouldn’t cross again.

But when he finally stepped out of the venue, he found Vicki standing there alone.

Eddie had his car keys in hand just as Vicki turned around and spotted him.

Her innocent face showed a hint of helplessness. “Looks like everyone else is gone,” she said.

Eddie blurted out, “Where’s Baron?”

Vicki replied, “He took Rachel to Viremont for a stroll. It’s not often they get to come here.”

At her words, Eddie just fell silent.

Vicki tilted her head, watching him for a moment before biting her lip. “Eddie, could you give me a ride back to the hotel?” she asked softly.

It was a holiday, and catching a cab was basically impossible.

Before Eddie came out, Vicki had already tried hailing a ride with an app, but there were forty or fifty people ahead of her in the queue, and there wasn’t a single taxi in sight on this whole street.

So she decided to ask Eddie for a lift.

‘It’s just a ride, so it shouldn’t really count as breaking Baron’s rule, right?’ she thought to herself.

Vicki’s request caught Eddie off guard, and a flash of surprise flickered through his mesmerizing eyes.

He was well aware of how much Vicki had been avoiding him.

‘But now?’ Eddje couldn’t help but wonder. Eddie knew, logically, he should turn her down. But before his mind could catch up, his heart had already answered for him. “Okay,” Eddie said.

Vicki’s face lit up with a sweet smile. “Thank you, Eddie.”

The sunlight was dazzling, and for a moment, Vicki’s smile felt like it was shining right into the shadows of his heart, lighting up places that had been dark for far too long.

Eddie pulled up in a sleek red Ferrari, a two-seater that turned heads.

He walked over and, ever the gentleman, opened the passenger door for Vicki.

“Thanks, Eddie,” Vicki said with a smile as she slid into the seat.

Vicki had no problem with Eddie. She was only keeping her distance because Baron told her to.

Eddie’s car was spotless, with nothing extra cluttering it up. There was just a faint, refreshing scent lingering in the air. Vicki turned her head to gaze out the window.

Normally, it was packed with people on the street, but with the holiday today, it was almost empty.

They cruised along the river, sunlight dancing on the water, and the streets were all lit up with decorations for the holiday. Vicki couldn’t help but sigh, “Wow, it’s gorgeous.”

Viremont’s scenery was honestly not any less beautiful than Regalburg’s.

“It is,” Eddie replied mildly, his eyes still on the road.

Vicki turned to look at him. Eddie had a face that was almost too perfect-flawless from every angle, whether you caught his profile or locked at him head-on.

But the most captivating thing about him had to be those naturally seductive eyes-bedroom eyes that could draw anyone in without even trying.

Vicki just pressed her lips together and stayed quiet.

Eddie noticed her looking at him, but since Vicki stayed silent, he didn’t break the silence either. Still, his fingers tightened ever so slightly on the steering wheel.

The rest of the drive was quiet until Eddie pulled up to the fancy hotel where Vicki was staying.

Vicki got out of the car, leaned down, and waved at Eddie. “Thanks for the ride, Eddie.”

“No problem,” Eddie said, waving back as he rolled up the passenger window. Then he drove off.

Vicki stood at the hotel entrance, her bag in hand, watching 66 as Eddie’s car disappeared down the street.

Then she turned and walked into the hotel lobby. But then she stopped in her tracks. my room?’ ‘Why am I even going back to my room?’ Vicki thought. ‘Everyone’s out anyway. What’s the point of sitting alone in

She’d come all the way to Viremont. She might as well go out and explore. So, with her bag in hand, Vicki walked back out of the hotel.

She decided to just wander down the street outside the hotel, where, her feet took her.

As soon as she stepped outside, she spotted a familiar car parked by the curb. It was Eddie’s car.

‘Didn’t he leave?’ Vicki wondered.

Vicki made her way over in her heels, and when she leaned down for a closer look, sure enough-there was Eddie sitting right there in the driver’s seat, just as she’d expected.,

The engine was off, the window was down, and he was idly holding a lit cigarette between his fingers. His brows were drawn together, the te was deep in thought about something.

“Hey, Eddie,” Vicki greeted him politely.

At the sound of her voice, Eddie nearly jumped out of his skin, his shoulders giving a little shake. He turned and saw Vicki leaning down outside the car, just as he expected.

His first reaction was to immediately put out the cigarette in his hand.

Eddie cleared his throat. “Ms. Shaw, what brings you back out here again?”

Vicki straightened up and said, “Just felt like taking a walk and seeing what’s around.”

‘Want some company?’ he wondered. The words were right on the tip of Eddie’s tongue, but he held them back at the last second.

He just gave a small nod, saying nothing.

Vicki nodded and walked off in her heels.

Eddie watched through the car window as her figure walked farther and farther away. He just sat there, not budging an inch. Chasing after her would only make him a bother in her eyes. Even if he couldn’t win Vicki’s heart, at least he didn’t want her to dislike him.

Eddie just sat there quietly in his car, not moving an inch, until the sky grew dark and Vicki eventually made her way back.

Vicki wandered a big loop along the river-the view really was great, but walking around by herself just felt kind of lonely. Even when she wanted a photo, she had to ask a stranger for help.

She made her way back, only to find Eddie still waiting there. ‘Did he really wait here all afternoon?’ she thought.

Vicki hesitated, wondering if she should say hello, when Eddie’s gaze landed on her.

She had no choice but to wave. “Cameron, have you been sitting in the car this whole time?”

Eddie shook his head. “No, I just parked here.”

Vicki nodded. “Okay. I’m heading back to the hotel.”

Eddie nodded. “Alright.”

Vicki turned and walked away.

Eddie watched her through the rearview mirror as she walked farther and farther away, until she finally disappeared, but his gaze lingered.

‘There’s no way,’ he thought to himself. ‘So, there’s nothing left to look forward to either!

Tomorrow, he’d return to Steerfall and go on living the same lifeless routine as always.

Eddie started the car and pulled into the hotel’s underground parking lot.

He’d been sitting in the car all afternoon, and after being a groomsman earlier, he hadn’t really eaten anything all day. neha

Once he’d parked, he planned to grab something to eat at the hotel’s second-floor restaurant.

It was a holiday, so the hotel restaurant was packed. Dinner was a seafood buffet.

After searching for a while, Eddie finally spotted an empty seat and headed over with his plate. He was just about to ask if it was free when he heard Vicki’s voice.

“Eddie? You’re here for dinner too?” Vicki asked, sounding a little surprised.

Eddie paused for a moment, still holding his plate, and looked around the crowded room. There really weren’t any other seats left.

“Eddie, go ahead and sit down. It’s crazy busy today,” Vicki said.

Vicki could feel just how distant Eddie was acting toward her this time.
