Danika informed.
Before visiting Gilbert, she had investigated everyone Marigold had contacted after returning to the country.
As Paul said, no other man was in Marigold’s life besides Gilbert.
Given the conception date, the child was most likely his.
Unfortunately, Gilbert still didn’t believe her.
“Impossible! This must be one of her plots!”
Nobody knew if Marigold had gotten intimate with another man after that night to get a conception date close to the time she had slept with Gilbert.
“Gilbert, whether the child is yours or not, you can do a paternity test after the child is born.What you need to decide now is, if the child is yours, what are you going to do?”

Danika’s words were spot on, and Gilbert was left stunned and speechless.

Why did everyone assume that the child belonged to him just because Marigold was pregnant? Danika sighed, trying to keep herself composed.

Before Marigold plotted against him, he had no feelings for her.He neither liked nor disliked her.

Danika was frustrated.
Why weren’t they thinking from Marigold’s perspective? She was wrong for taking advantage of Gilbert, but she never pestered him after that, nor did she look for him after she got pregnant.
