Filed to story: When His Wife Can’t Forgive
Caden’s expression darkened. Without a word, he pulled her closer and fastened the other cuff to the bedpost. Alicia froze, her mind blank under his intensity.
This time he was rougher, leaving her in tears. She tried to resist, her words broken and scattered.
During a pause, she cried, “What are you doing? Are you going to kill me?”
He didn’t answer.
“Are you jealous?” she blurted. “I know you’re a neat freak. I swear nothing happened between us.”
He could see the fear in her eyes. She couldn’t stop crying. He wiped away her tears, staring at her flushed, trembling face.
“Why would I be jealous?” he said in a calm, detached tone. “I’m not jealous. But I am particular about cleanliness. The next time you get into my bed, make sure you’re clean.”
Alicia bit her lip in frustration and tugged at the cuffs. “Take them off.”
He smirked. “These are better. If you run, I won’t have to chase you.”
Her suspicions were confirmed-he wasn’t planning to let her go anytime soon.
When the cuffs rubbed her wrists raw, she finally convinced him to unlock them by feigning weakness. The moment she was free, she bolted from the bed, racing toward the living room.
But Caden followed, calmly tearing open a condom wrapper before dragging her back down. Exhausted, Alicia could only curse at him, spitting out every insult she could think of.
“You’ve got quite a vocabulary,” he remarked dryly.
At dawn, Alicia collapsed against him, barely managing two hours of sleep. He held her with one arm while flipping through a book with the other.
“What time is it?” she asked groggily.
“A little past nine,” he replied, his gaze lingering on her soft eyes and delicate figure.
She murmured, “Then why aren’t you at the office?”
He brushed his hand along her waist. “Someone’s holding on to me like a second skin. How can I leave?”
Flustered, Alicia pushed his hand away and rolled to the pillow beside him.
Later, when he dressed for work, she called, “Caden… do me a favor. Cut back on those stamina pills.”
He didn’t reply, but before leaving, he said, “You can keep your things here in the study.”
Alicia slept until noon, then unpacked her belongings in the spacious study. She hesitated-wasn’t she supposed to be renting her own place? But convenience won out.
Still, for an entire week after that night, she refused to let him touch her.
“It’s already been a week. You still don’t feel better?” Caden asked, frowning in disbelief.
Alicia threw her accusation at him, clearly frustrated by his actions. “Even an animal needs rest. You didn’t let me have any that night!”
Caden responded calmly, “Animals rest and then keep going the next day. You’ve had a whole week.”
In a stern voice, Alicia retorted, “Are you actually comparing me to an animal now?”
Caden didn’t respond. This conversation had taken an odd turn because of her. Used to handling these kinds of arguments, he knew it was better not to escalate things further. He decided to stay quiet.
When he didn’t reply, Alicia pressed, “So, you finally understand how wrong you were, don’t you?”
Caden simply shook his head. “Technically, I haven’t done anything wrong according to the agreement. But I’ve learned that sometimes it’s smarter to admit fault.”
Alicia blinked in surprise. What was he talking about? Did he mean from experience with other women?
Trying to stay composed, she said, “I thought you were more of the controlling type when it came to relationships.”
Caden smiled faintly, his expression softening. It was clear he was thinking about someone else. “I wouldn’t dare be that way. She’s a handful.”
This was the first time Alicia had seen him smile like that. Whoever he was thinking about seemed to leave him both frustrated and amused.
Alicia wanted to mock him. He was such a confident man, yet some woman had bested him.
As she tried to smile, she realized her lips felt stiff. She rubbed her cheeks and quickly looked away, trying to avoid his gaze. “I need to revise the agreement. Some parts are unreasonable.”
Caden noticed the shift in her tone and immediately stopped smiling. Without questioning her mood, he responded, “If agreements could be changed at will, they wouldn’t mean much.”
Alicia frowned. “You said you’d respect me, but you only cared about your own pleasure. Isn’t that a violation?”
Caden responded bluntly, “Weren’t you enjoying it too?”
She had no answer to that. Her face turned red, but she kept her tone firm. “Either way, you went too far. I insist on making changes to the contract.”
It seemed she was determined to make this happen. Caden paused for a moment before agreeing. As she worked on the revisions, he moved closer, slipping her pants down.
She usually wore loose pants for comfort, which made it easier for him now. Alicia quickly tossed the mouse aside and tried to stop him. “What are you doing?”
Caden held her legs in place. “Just checking if you’re hurt.”
Alicia glared at him. “Yeah, right!”
“Why are you suddenly so angry?” Caden looked straight into her eyes. “I admit that night I went a bit overboard, but I checked, and you weren’t hurt. I even gave you a week to recover. If you’re still upset, then I must have missed something. I need to figure out why.”
Alicia fell quiet for a moment. His question, “Why are you suddenly so angry?” caught her off guard. Was she truly angry? She wasn’t. She was just irritated by his lack of control.
She quickly grabbed her pants and pulled them on. “I’m not hurt. What bothers me is how you keep tormenting me.”
“Who stays mad for an entire week?” he said, his voice tinged with disbelief.
She didn’t have a response to that.
Something felt off, but she didn’t want to dwell on it. She finished putting on her pants and turned her attention back to the agreement, muttering under her breath, “I’m not mad anymore. Let’s just focus on fixing the agreement.”
Caden remarked, “We can handle that later.”
She gritted her teeth, feeling at a loss for words once again. “No, I’m not in the mood.”
She began typing furiously, documenting every detail about their sexual activity, including how often it would happen each month and how long it would last. After finishing, she calmly listed out the changes she had made to the agreement and read them aloud to Caden. “Let me know if you have any issues with it.”
Caden wasn’t interested in being formal.
He slipped his hand inside her shirt, trying to make her horny. “No. It’s all right with me.”
Despite his dismissive tone, he kept his eyes on the screen, making sure Alicia wasn’t trying to slip Iri something he didn’t approve of.
Alicia, on the other hand, didn’t have time to plan anything.
Even though she’d just said she wasn’t in the mood, Caden’s touch awakened something in her. They hadn’t done it that often, but he had already learned her most sensitive spots.
She already felt a strange pull toward him, and his touch quickly weakened her resolve.
Caden held her neck gently and leaned in to kiss her. When he pulled away, he noticed her eyes sparkling with emotion. A grin crossed his face. “Are you starting to feel it now?”
Alicia turned her head away.
“No,” she murmured, trying to push him back.
Caden saw through her resistance and said softly, “I came strong last time because you made me wait too long. If you reject me today, we’ll end up right back where we started.”
Alicia didn’t know what to say.
“Isn’t that a bad deal?” Caden’s voice was soft as he slipped off her last piece of clothing. Startled, Alicia quickly grabbed his hand.
But then he pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her waist and pressing her against the table.
He caught her wrists and intertwined their fingers, holding her still.
Alicia tried to struggle, but her body betrayed her. She bit her lip in embarrassment. “Fine. We can do it once.”
Caden chuckled softly, brushing his lips against her ear.
“All right. Whatever you say. Good luck.”
Alicia’s heart raced as her eyes widened in shock.
“Huh? What did he just call me?” she wondered inwardly. She stared at him, genuinely caught off guard. “How do you know my nickname?”
Caden silenced her question with a kiss, his focus clearly not on explaining but on satisfying his desires.
Although she had agreed to just once, Caden took his time, deliberately dragging out the moment. His movements were slow, but his grip remained firm.
The sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow on their entwined forms. Alicia looked up, meeting his gaze, and saw her reflection in his eyes.
Her flushed face and dazed expression startled her. Both her voice and the sight of herself seemed unfamiliar, almost foreign.
Caden’s intense gaze seemed to pierce through her, causing her chest to tighten. For a brief moment, Alicia wished to stay locked in his embrace forever, suspended in time.
Afterward, Alicia collapsed onto the sofa, exhausted and still reeling from the intensity of the moment. Caden printed the revised agreement and handed it to her to sign.
Still dazed, Alicia glanced up at him. “How did you know I’m called Lucky?”
The nickname was a gift from her mother, who had hoped Alicia would have a life filled with peace and fortune. Her father, on the other hand, despised it, thinking it shallow and trivial. He forbade anyone from using it, so only her mother ever called her Lucky.
And now, Caden was the second person to use it.
In that moment, Alicia wasn’t sure how to feel. It was as if she were caught in a wave, but somehow, holding onto him made her feel safe from being swept away.
