“I feel happy when I’m around you,” replied Yaels gently with warmth filling up inside his heart.

Beata took another lick and said with a smile, “Then you’ll always be happy from now on, and I’ll always be by your side.”

Yael smiled and said, “Okay, then let me be this happy from now on.”

Beata turned around and leaned against Yael’s leg, eating the remaining ice cream in small bites.

She had realized that although Yael was strict with her, he would give her everything she wanted.

This made Beata feel so sweet inside. She really liked Yael a lot.

Finally, Beata finished the ice cream and licked her lips as if she still wanted more.

But Beata wasn’t someone who would take advantage of Yael’s indulgence to make unreasonable demands.

After licking her lips once more, Beata finally threw the pack into the trash can. It was already past midnight when she looked at Yael and asked him,”Can I not go home?”

Beata had actually been showing it very clearly that she didn’t want to go home, finding all kinds of excuses to stay by Yael’s side.

Yael saw through her little scheme early on, but didn’t expose her.

However, in fact, Yael herself was also struggling with whether to send Beata home or let her stay.

Now, having spent this much time, it seemed that Beata will not give up without an answer.

Beata saw Yael remain silent for a long time, and looked at him with a furrowed brow. She said, “There’s no one at my house. My brother and sister-in-law are both out.”

If she were to tell someone this, they would definitely feel sorry for Beata and without a second thought, keep her with them.

However, Yael was not unaware of the true situation, so this reason obviously won’t make him believe too much.

In fact, Yael was not refusing Beata, but considering himself.

Although he had indeed set up a barrier for himself and created a two-year obstacle, what if his willpower was not that strong?

The girl he liked slept in the same space as himself, and even if it was the distinction between the master bedroom and the guest bedroom, how can he not think about it?

Once he started thinking about this kind of thing, it was impossible to stop.

Yael was still anxious in his mind, but Beata had already climbed up his leg.

Beata hugged Yael’s neck and coquettishly said, “Please let me stay, Yael. I promise to be good and not do anything strange. Please?”

She really didn’t want to go home and didn’t want to be separated from Yael.

Yael’s restraint collapsed completely at this moment.

How to refuse? He simply cannot refuse.

With his hand on Beata’s waist, Yael said, “I’ll take you to the room.”

Beata burst into laughter and gave Yael a kiss on the face, saying, “I knew you always spoil me the most.”

Of course, Beata was still shy and sleeping in the same house didn’t mean that she will be brave enough to sleep in the same bed with Yael now.

Therefore, when Yael took her to the guest room, she had no objections at all.

However, when Beata saw the room Yael had chosen, she couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

Because the room Yael chose was the farthest one from his master bedroom.

Beata said, “Yael, are you guarding against me?”

Sending her to such a faraway place was to prevent her from launching a sneak attack in the middle of the night?

Yael didn’t speak. He wasn’t guarding against Beata, and he was clearly guarding against himself.

Yael escorted Beata to her room, checked to see if she needed anything else, and then left.

Alone in the room, Beata couldn’t help but think of Yael’s adorable expression. She had never realized how cute Yael was before.

At this moment, Beata felt a bit self-conscious about her age. If only she were in her twenties, then age wouldn’t be an issue at all.

Maybe she could do whatever she wanted without worrying about it. But unfortunately, age was a factor that couldn’t be ignored.

All she could do now was to ask Yael to bear with her for a little longer and wait for her to catch up.

After finishing up in the bathroom, Beata lay in bed but found herself unable to fall asleep. This birthday wasn’t as lively as previous ones had been, but it was still the most satisfying one yet.

As time passed by, Ridge, Rosemary, Perla and Brandon had all turned two years old. Tilly and Ben’s child was also born and just celebrated her first birthday today. Tilly went through a lot of hardship during her pregnancy and almost lost the baby. Fortunately, with Tilly’s strong willpower and Ben’s careful care, the baby was born healthy.

The child was born in spring under the Pisces sign – a beautiful little girl who inherited all of Tilly and Ben’s best qualities. Her name was Mia Lee – a name that represented their wish for all their dreams to come true.

Despite having initially considered more complex names before Mia’s birth, they ultimately chose this simple yet meaningful one as it embodied their desire for a bright future for their daughter.

Eden couldn’t help but tease Ben after hearing his explanation, “You’re not avoiding complexity at all! You’re just being greedy by wanting to fulfill all of Mia’s wishes!”

But Ben didn’t mind Eden’s teasing; he believed that his daughter deserved nothing less than everything she wished for.

Mia’s first birthday party was lively as expected. Due to the difficult pregnancy process, followed by doctor’s orders to observe her health closely post-birth in case any hidden illnesses emerged later on; however, this resulted in less grandeur during her hundred-day celebration.

Now that she had grown up healthy until one year old ??The Lee family naturally hoped to give their little princess an unforgettable birthday bash!

Tilly originally wanted to take charge of everything, but due to exhaustion from pregnancy complications throughout the year, she ended up being one of the most idle people there besides

Mia herself!

In the lounge area where they were resting earlier on, Ridge had been staring intently at Mia while Rosemary couldn’t sit still any longer as she wanted desperately go out play around instead!

Ridge had been quietly sitting by Mia’s side, not taking his eyes off her for a second. Patrick and Aimee were both perplexed by this, unable to understand how their son could have such strong determination.

Despite being twins, Rosemary and Ridge couldn’t be more different in personality. Rosemary was like a ball of fire, passionate and able to get along with anyone. She was quite the social queen. On the other hand, Ridge’s demeanor could only be described as aloof; he seemed disinterested in everything and no one could divert his attention.

What made it worse was that he didn’t bother with anyone else except Aimee – he would acknowledge her as “mom” but remained cold towards Patrick.

This drove Patrick crazy; not only did his son seem distant from him but also appeared to hold him in contempt.

However, who would have thought that Ridge – with such an unapproachable character – would show such intense interest in Mia?

Aimee even noticed that although Ridge didn’t cry or make a fuss when separated from Mia, every time they mentioned seeing her again, his eyes lit up like never before.

This left Aimee feeling quite worried; could it be possible that their child had feelings for Mia already?

When Patrick and Aimee walked in, as expected, they saw Ridge standing motionless next to Mia, his gaze fixed on her.

The two exchanged a wordless glance but didn’t bother pulling Ridge away.

Just then, Eden and the others arrived.

As soon as Eden saw the scene before him, he nudged his son Brandon. “Brandon, do you see that? Ridge is already picking out his future wife. You can’t let him beat you to it.”

Brandon clearly didn’t understand what Eden was saying and simply turned to reach out for Minnie’s hand. He thought his dad was crazy.

Eden couldn’t help but laugh at how different their sons were despite being boys. He turned to Patrick and said, “What have you been teaching Ridge? How can he be such a womanizer at such a young age?”

Patrick glared at Eden in response; this jerk was trying to stir up trouble where there wasn’t any.

Ben chimed in, “Do you see Ridge paying any attention to him? What kind of ideas could Patrick possibly be putting into his head?”

Eden laughed even harder upon hearing Ben’s words; when it came down to being dads, everyone had something to say about each other’s parenting style. Poor Patrick!

Minnie looked on silently with exasperation written all over her face; she knew exactly what Eden was doing but found it hard not to roll her eyes anyway.

Although Brandon wasn’t as aloof as Ridge, the relationship between him and Eden wasn’t exactly harmonious either – just like how things were between Patrick and Ridge – both sets of fathers-sons were immature enough that they’d fight over toy cars!

Minnie often wondered if Brandon secretly thought of his dad as an idiot or something for making fun of Patrick like this.

She really had no idea where Eden got all this confidence from.

Everyone eventually arrived one by one. Averi was now eight months pregnant but still looked slim with limbs. Even wearing slightly loose clothing wouldn’t give away her pregnancy status unless someone knew beforehand.

This made River nervous every time she walked around, since he always felt compelled to support her with every step she took ??otherwise, nobody would have guessed that Averi was carrying a child inside of her!

Damion and Ivy were the last ones there. Upon seeing Damion again, Eden immediately started teasing him, “Can’t you handle your own wife anymore?! Making her work overtime today.”

Ivy now worked at Damion’s company. Even though they were already married, Ivy didn’t want any special treatment from Damion and everything was handled strictly. This had resulted in Ivy being busier than Damion at times.

Today was no exception as Ivy went to work early for overtime while Damion went to fetch her.

Damion said, “If you can convince her for me, I’ll give you a one percent discount.”

Eden was speechless.

No wonder people said that Damion was a difficult person to deal with. He was always quiet but when he spoke, he can make people angry.

One percent may not seem like much but it was still a lot of money.

Everyone present except for the children was tempted by the offer but nobody could convince Ivy – everyone knew that.

Damion was also at a loss with Ivy. He didn’t want her to be someone without any aspirations, even though he could afford to support her and would be happy if she was content. In Damion’s mind, regardless of one’s family background or life experiences, everyone should have their own desires.

These desires didn’t need to be grandiose, like making a contribution to the world. It can simply mean finding meaning in one’s existence. If someone felt that managing their own family was their lifelong wish, then there was no problem with that as long as it brought them a sense of accomplishment.

Damion didn’t want Ivy to be someone who just drifted through life without any goals or ambitions. Of course, Ivy wasn’t like that at all; she exceeded Damion’s expectations by far.

Before meeting Damion, she had very little opportunity and resources for education and spent most of her time wandering around aimlessly rather than truly living. But after meeting him, he gave her the power of choice and absolute freedom over her own life.

Ivy was constantly learning about herself and what she wanted out of life. The gap between herself and Damion ??as well as everyone else in his circle ??made her even more determined not to become solely dependent on him.

So she focused intently on building up her career and striving for perfection in everything she did ??which proved successful beyond anyone’s expectations.

Of course, Ivy knew that having the chance to pursue these things was due largely in part because of Damion’s support; therefore, she never wanted to slack off or take anything for granted.

Everyone understood where Ivy stood on this matter, so no one tried persuading her into revolving everything around Damion. They were all too aware it wouldn’t work since none of them had such personalities themselves anyway – so why would they expect it from Ivy?
