Filed to story: Healing My Disabled Husband Novel
Beata secretly glanced at Yael and had to admit that he was really handsome. Among the men she knew, besides her brother, he was the most handsome man she had ever seen.
However, when it came to appearance compared with the Hayden family brothers including Eden and others; his brother looked even more wild and masculine – a type of appearance that could not be described as pretty.
On the other hand, how would one describe Yael? He looked like someone who belonged in entertainment circles – a very popular male artist for sure!
But as soon as this idea popped into her head, Beata frowned slightly. She had never realized how strong her possessiveness could be until now; she didn’t want anyone else coveting Yael!
As an author herself writing novels regularly, she naturally knew what this kind of thinking meant: She felt like going crazy! How could such an absurd possessive desire arise?
She wanted to hide Yael away from everyone’s sight and keep him all for herself! This thought scared
Beata out of her wits!
However soon enough though, she figured out what happened: It must have been because Averi kept talking about it in her ear just now, which gave her an illusion that Yael belonged only to herself…
Realizing this point quickly helped clear up any confusion or misunderstandings within herself regarding these thoughts, so they wouldn’t lead down dangerous paths later on down life’s journey…
What kind of joke was this? Such thoughts were very dangerous! She didn’t want people to think she was some strange little girl.
Averi noticed that Beata hadn’t spoken for a long time and looked at her strangely, asking, “What happened? Why did you suddenly become unhappy?”
After all, she was still just a little girl with emotions written plainly on display across every inch of facial expression possible…
Beata pouted saying, “Nothing really… Let’s go shopping quickly instead! I suddenly remembered something I need but don’t know if they still have it.”
Averi didn’t think too much, and walked in holding Beata’s hand.
From the corner of her eye, Beata glanced in Yael’s direction again, unexpectedly meeting Yael’s gaze.
Beata’s heart beat violently. Thump, thump… thump, thump…
She didn’t even have time to see Yael’s eyes clearly, but looked away in a panic, and walked inside holding Averi’s hand.
Averi was still puzzled by her, and really didn’t know what happened to the little girl.
However, soon, Beata told Averi with her own actions. She was now focused on shopping, and there was no way to disturb her with any other things.
The two walked up one level at a time. Beata just casually said that she had something she wanted to buy. In fact, she didn’t have anything she wanted to buy. However, in order not to reveal her secrets in front of Averi, Beata still quickly picked a thing.
Averi looked at the thing Beata held in her hand, and still keenly noticed something was wrong.
Logically speaking, it was impossible for this kind of thing to be out of stock, but Beata was so anxious just now, because she really thought it would be out of stock.
From this point of view, Beata was indeed lying just now.
However, the more this happened, the more strange it became for Averi. What happened to this girl today?
The two of them walked to the men’s section together. Beata urged Averi to buy clothes for River.
Although River’s clothes were all custom-made, this wasn’t the first time that Beata had encouraged
Averi to buy clothes for him.
Averi also wanted to make up for her past mistakes and thought about buying two more sets of clothes for River. She still felt guilty about the ill-fitting clothes she had bought him before.
However, in order for the clothes to fit perfectly on River, they needed to be custom-made. The ones in this store always seemed a bit off.
Now that Averi was familiar with River’s size, it made it even more difficult to pick out his clothing.
Beata was also comparing different outfits and only looked at their appearance before shoving them into Averi’s hands.
Seeing that Averi looked a bit worried, Beata asked curiously, “What’s wrong? Don’t you like them?”
Averi shook her head and said, “They’re pretty nice actually.”
It was just that the sleeves were too short by a fraction. Both of them noticed this issue with all of the outfits they picked out.
There was nothing they could do about it since River’s arms were longer than most people’s arms.
Thinking about this made Averi sigh; even if an outfit looked good but had shorter sleeves, it would look odd on him regardless.
Beata furrowed her small eyebrows and said, “Is my brother just too strange-looking? Why is he so different from others?”
Averi almost laughed at what she said and replied, “If your brother hears you say that, I wonder if he’ll fix you.”
Beata stuck out her tongue; when it came down to criticizing family members, she never really cared much about what others thought or how they’d react.
But instead of just joking around like usual after making fun of someone else’s family members, Beata suddenly thought of something else and said, “I think Yael has a similar body type as my brother’s.
Why don’t we have Yael try on some outfits so you can see how they fit?”
Averi was confused and shocked at the same time.
Looking at Beata with confusion written all over her face, Averi felt uncomfortable because there were so many things wrong with what she suggested!
However, seeing how pure and innocent Beata looked while suggesting such an idea made Averi feel guilty as well ??as if thinking too much would be bullying poor little innocent-minded Beata!
But then again… the idea itself did make Averi think quite a lot!
Beata continued to stare at Averi, but she was uncertain herself.
Now she felt that there might be something wrong with her. Just to prove that she had nothing to do with Yael, she deliberately made such an appearance of “Look, it’s because you are overthinking”.
But, in fact, she felt very guilty in her heart.
Beata didn’t even know what was wrong with her. There was nothing wrong with it, but now, it was as if there was really something.
Averi also wanted to take a closer look at what kind of idea Beata was planning.
She nodded and said, “Yes.”
Beata smiled and said, “Then I’ll call him over.”
This was the first time that Averi had seen Yael so closely. In fact, if people didn’t know his age, it was really hard to imagine that he was twelve years older than Beata.
Yael had a very beautiful boyish face, very delicate.
Averi rarely described a man as beautiful, but Yael was such a look.
Beata felt the same way. The last time she talked to Yael at close range was when she was very young. It must have been seven or eight years. She was almost kidnapped, but was rescued by Yael.
Yael was not in charge of her at that time, and since then, Yael had been transferred to protect her.
As Beata thought about what had happened between her and Yael, she suddenly realized that River and Averi might have some basis for their suspicions. The connection between her and Yael was actually quite dramatic. If it were in a novel, it would be quite sweet. However, when it came to herself,
Beata didn’t know how to continue thinking about it.
She always remembered that she was underage. But in just three months’ time, she would be of legal age. Her gaze unconsciously shifted towards Yael who happened to be looking at her too.
Beata didn’t realize that her ears had turned slightly red at this moment but fortunately it wasn’t very noticeable. If anyone asked, she could explain that the store was just too hot.
After explaining her intentions to Yael clearly, Beata clearly saw the surprise on his face. Her little eyebrows quickly furrowed as she deliberately said in a fierce tone, “You don’t want to?”
Yael had never seen Beata look so fierce before and there was a hint of surprise in his eyes but he didn’t say much and took the clothes from her before going inside to change.
Yael changed clothes quickly; Beata even felt like he only went inside for one second before coming out again, although of course that wasn’t true ??definitely not more than a minute though.
What Beata didn’t know was that Yael’s task was never going to let her leave his sight for more than one minute except when she went somewhere like the bathroom where female bodyguards followed along with her.
When Yael came out after changing clothes, both Averi and Beata were amazed by how good he looked. It once again proved that beautiful people can wear anything they wanted without feeling uncomfortable or awkward, especially since he usually wore black all the time which made him look even better!
However, Averi also drew a conclusion from this – this outfit did not suit River at all! Thinking about
River made Averi feel uncomfortable despite having an unhappy conversation with him earlier today.
Right now however, she still missed him somewhat.
Beata stared at Yael for half a day then poked Averi’s arm saying, “Averi, do you think this outfit doesn’t really suit my brother?”
“You noticed too,” replied Averi.
Beata said, “Although if my brother hears this kind of words, he will definitely think that his sister is too much, I think this is a fact. Clothes have their own owners, and Yael is obviously more suitable for this kind of clothes.”
Averi nodded and said, “I still don’t want to buy these for your brother. He is still suitable for customization.”
Beata sighed, and suddenly couldn’t help complaining, “My brother is really difficult to deal with.”
Averi laughed, raised her hand and flicked on Beata’s head, saying, “If your brother hear this, see if he can deal with you.”
Beata raised her chin, looked at Averi innocently, and said, “I have you here, so you will protect me, right?”
Averi was speechless.
She was afraid that she will be in trouble for herself.
The two of them set their eyes on Yael again.
There was no way Averi would buy this dress for Yael, and Beata knew that of course.
Otherwise, as long as her brother’s jealousy came up, none of them can stop.
However, all she can think about now was that this clothes belonged to Yael. If she missed it, she will not be reconciled.
Beata was very guilty in her heart, but in the end, she still surrendered to her own preferences.
She directly asked the clerk to pay the bill and gave the clothes to Yael.
“No need.” Yael stopped Beata in her tracks and said firmly.
Yael’s refusal was so decisive that Beata felt embarrassed and truly unhappy. She frowned at Yael and said with some anger, “I want to buy it, so you have to let me buy it.”
This was the first time Beata had spoken in such a petulant way.
Yael and Averi were both very aware of how gentle Beata’s nature was. Although she had been spoiled growing up, she never acted like a spoiled brat. So this sudden outburst caught them off guard.
