Cameron grinned, “Okay.”
Bradley soon came back after exchanging about a hundred tokens.
Cameron took the basket. “Brad, you got so many tokens, and the owner’s gonna be in tears later.”
Bradley asked, “Why?” And it didn’t take long for Bradley to find out the reason.
Soon enough, his arms were full of all the stuffed toys Cameron had got from the machines.
“Oh dear, she’s really something!” A passerby couldn’t help but praise.
Soon, a bunch of girls gathered around Cameron, watching her in awe.
They were working so hard just to grab one or two stuffed toys.
But Cameron? Every time she dropped a token into the machine, she’d definitely grab a plush doll.
Everyone around was freaked out by it, showering her with praise.
After winning dozens of stuffed toys Cameron still had a ton of tokens left.
After all the dolls in the claw machine were grabbed by her, Cameron turned to the next one, while the girls watching her were full of envy.
“Hey, are you selling any of those dolls? Can I buy one? Grabbing it is out of the question!” One girl finally asked.
Cameron just grinned, “Sure.”
“How much is it? I want one too!” Another one chimed in, and soon, the other girls started asking as well.
Cameron replied, “Just give me the tokens, whatever you think is fair.” way f
In the end, all the dolls Cameron got ended up being traded tokens, and she only kept three for herself, including a bunny, a piglet, and a frog.
Then Cameron dropped all the tokens those girls gave her into the claw machines.
Bradley chuckled, “Cam, since you didn’t even want the tokens, why didn’t you just give the dolls away for free?”
Cameron’s lips curled into a smile. “I was worried the owner might really cry.”
Bradley gave her a doting look and smiled, “Looks like it’s about time for lunch. Let’s go eat.”
They picked the most popular restaurant in the mall and entered, yet it was crowded, so they had to wait for a table first.
While Cameron was in the restroom, Bradley took the chance to call Eddie.
Bradley still couldn’t help but want to regain his memories, especially after learning about all the wonderful moments he and Cameron had shared together.
But after calling Eddie twice, he found no one was answering the phone.
So Bradley slipped his phone back into his s pocket, thinking he could try calling Eddie again later tonight. After all, it was his first date with Cam today, and nothing was more important than that.
After lunch, they could catch a movie at the mall. Then, they’d head back to Yates Manor together for dinner. Thinking of it, Bradley smiled slightly, feeling really happy when going out with the one he loved.
While they were going on a date, Eddie was in Regalburg.
Last night, after getting a boost of courage from Bradley, he’d caught the earliest flight there. He came to Regalburg for one reason only-he wanted to see Vicki.
But as he got closer, his nerves got the better of him.
The moment he arrived in Regalburg, Eddie was already thinking about turning right back around and catching the next flight home.
Honestly, for a sinner like him, just laying eyes on Vicki was like sacrilege.
But in the end, he just couldn’t make himself leave.
Eddie had Vicki’s home address, thinking if he could just catch a glimpse of her from afar, that would be enough for him.
So, he took a cab and got off about 3300 feet away from the Shaw family’s villa.
Eddie stood by the roadside, hesitating. ‘Would it be too strange if I suddenly showed up at the Shaw family’s house? he wondered.
Normally, Eddie wasn’t this indecisive. He was just too anxious about it.
Eddie lingered on the street for a few minutes, then took a deep breath. ‘Since I’m already here, I’ll just go take a quick look at Vicki,’ he thought to himself.
Right then, just as he made up his mind, he heard a series of bicycle bells.
Eddie looked up, and when he saw who it was, he instinctively took a few steps back in slight panic.
‘Vicki!’
‘It’s actually Vicki!’ Eddie thought, startled..
Vicki was riding a pink bicycle, and inside the basket were beautifully arranged flowers.
Dressed in a white dress with her hair in a high ponytail, Vicki wore a soft, radiant smile that highlighted her delicate beauty.
Ever since her illness had been cured by Camilla, Vicki had become a little obsessed with the newfound freedom of being able to move her own body.
Every day, she would ride her bicycle around the neighborhood, truly experiencing the feeling of being alive and healthy.. She rode right past Eddie without even noticing him.
Eddie looked at her figure, a slight smile appearing on his face.
He thought to himself, ‘Man, luck’s really on my side today.
‘I actually got to see Vicki Shen so soon.
‘That’s enough for me.’
But people are never truly content. No matter how much they get, it’s never quite enough.
Before coming here, Eddie had thought that just seeing Vicki from afar would be enough for him.
But now that he’d seen her, he couldn’t help but wish he could look at her a little longer.
So, he pretended to be jogging and gradually followed after her.
Vicki wasn’t riding very fast, so Eddie caught up to her quickly.
They were almost moving in sync.
That’s when Vicki finally noticed Eddie.
She turned her gaze toward Eddie and lost focus on the road. The handlebars swerved, the wheels rolled onto the sidewalk, and Vicki fell off the bike along with the bicycle itself.
“Watch out!” Eddie called out, his voice full of concern.
“Ouch!” Vicki cried as she hit the ground.
Vicki’s fall happened right as Eddie shouted out in alarm.
Luckily, she caught herself with her hands, so her knees were spared. But her elbow got scraped and started bleeding a little.
Vicki was scared of pain- even the slightest injury would cause her great distress.
“Are you alright?” Eddie asked, his voice full of concern.
He was so worried that his mind went completely blank. Without thinking, he rushed over and helped Vicki up.
Seeing her in pain, Eddie was instantly wracked with guilt.
‘She fell because she got distracted looking at me,’ he thought, blaming himself.
‘Damn, this is all my fault,’ Eddie cursed himself inwardly.
“Thank you, I’m fine,” Vicki said, forcing a calm tone.
Even though it hurt, she told herself she couldn’t let it show in front of someone else.
‘Wait…’ Vicki looked at Eddie, a sudden doubt flashing through her mind.
“You…” Vicki stared at Eddie in surprise. “You’re Camilla’s brother, aren’t you? Am I right?”
The last time Vicki had gone to Steerfall for Camilla’s wedding, she’d met Camilla’s brothers.
Even though Camilla had a lot of brothers, each of them had their own distinct vibe, and Vicki remembered every single one.
Eddie was taken aback. “You remember me?”
