Chapter 380 – She Is The Campus Prince Novel Free Online By Alyssa Fox

Meanwhile, Cameron followed closely behind..

Down in the lobby, the hotel staff were busy trying to calm the guests.

They still had no idea what had actually caused the fire or where it had started.

But soon enough, the manager came out and announced that it was all just a false alarm. A curious kid had pressed the fire alarm, and that was what set. off this whole mess.

Still, the guests were making a fuss.

No matter the reason, it really was a hassle for everyone.

But some reasonable guests just shrugged it off and took the elevator back to their rooms.

Cameron and Bradley were among them.

The two of them shared an elevator back up, with nobody else around.

Bradley’s room was on the 16th floor, and Cameron’s was on the 23rd.

Bradley glanced at Cameron. “Miss Yates, do you know me or something?”

Cameron smirked sarcastically. “Bradley, are you seriously pretending you have amnesia right now?”

Bradley looked genuinely puzzled. “Amnesia? What are you talking about?”

Cameron didn’t take her eyes off Bradley, watching him closely.

She’d picked up some psychology tricks and was pretty good at reading people’s microexpressions to guess what they were really thinking.

From what Cameron could tell, Bradley really didn’t seem to be lying.

Cameron thought to herself, ‘He really doesn’t remember me?’

Ever since Elijah took her away from the castle that day, she hadn’t seen Bradley again.

And now, he actually didn’t remember her.

For a moment, Cameron couldn’t describe how she felt.

The sarcasm was on the tip of her tongue, but she swallowed it back down.

Cameron remained silent, saying nothing more.

Bradley got the hint and didn’t ask further.

Still, he couldn’t help but wonder why Cameron would say something like that.

Today was supposed to be their first meeting, yet she treated him so coldly, as if something had happened between them before.

But in his memory, he truly had no recollection of Cameron at all.

The elevator stopped at the 16th floor. Bradley gave a slight nod and stepped out, carrying his laptop.

He glanced back, and for a split second, his eyes locked with Cameron’s cold, unreadable stare.

The elevator doors closed quickly.

Bradley turned around and headed toward his room.

As he showered, Bradley thought it over carefully. He truly had no memory of Cameron at all.

“Maybe Cameron just got the wrong person?’ he wondered.

That seemed to be the only possibility.

Cameron returned to her room, her brows furrowed in thought.

Bradley really didn’t look like he was pretending.

‘So, what on earth happened to him during those seven years?’ Cameron wondered to herself.

‘And why did he suddenly vanish without a trace?’

Driven by curiosity, Cameron turned on the computer that came with her room, her fingers flying across the keyboard.

It didn’t take her long to dig up some leads.

Apparently, Bradley had suddenly filed for a transfer just before the start of the second semester of his freshman year.

After that, he finished his studies abroad.

Once he graduated, he returned to Steerfall and set up his own law firm.

These days, his law firm had made a name for itself in the field, and he’d become a star attorney everyone wanted on their side.

Even if people were willing to shell out a fortune in legal fees, getting him to take their case wasn’t guaranteed.

It fit perfectly with Cameron’s first impression of him: a man who had truly made it big.

“Could it be that he got involved in some accident and ended up with amnesia? Cameron wondered.

But then she shook her head at the thought.

‘Why should I even care whether Bradley remembers me or not?’ she asked herself.

“If he doesn’t remember, then whatever.’

Once upon a time, they had been good friends.

Cameron had even naively believed they could still be friends after she turned Bradley down.

But instead, he’d become possessive, locking her up and telling her she could only ever belong to him.

It was insane.

The gentle boy she once knew had long since vanished.

She was here to clear her head and take a breather from everything. There was no need to waste her thoughts on people who had nothing to do with her anymore.

The next morning, Cameron woke up early.

After freshening up, she went downstairs for breakfast.

To her surprise, there were actually people who had gotten up even earlier than she did.

The restaurant was already packed.

Cameron had to look around for quite a while before she finally managed to snag a table to herself.

The breakfast was a buffet with a variety of options.

Cameron helped herself to a few simple dishes before sitting down.

Just as she was peeling her egg, she heard a man’s deep, slightly amused voice from above her. “Excuse me, is this seat taken?”

There really was nowhere else to sit.

Bradley had no choice but to ask to join someone at their table.

After breakfast, he had to head back to Steerfall.

He had a court hearing in the afternoon, so he couldn’t be delayed.

Cameron looked up and spotted Bradley.

He still had on those gold-rimmed glasses, looking every bit the refined and shrewd man he was.

She then said flatly, “No, it’s not.”

“Thanks,” Bradley said, setting his coffee cup down on the table across from her.

Then he went off to grab some more food.

After a moment, Bradley came back.

He sat down across from Cameron.

Bradley savored his coffee, his eyes lingering thoughtfully on Cameron. After a brief pause, he said, “Miss Yates, I think you might have mistaken me for someone else.”
