Filed to story: That Campus Prince Is a Girl
As soon as he sat down, Bradley immediately scooted away.
The man just laughed. “You’re pretty cute.”
He placed his left hand on the seat, just a few inches from Bradley, to test the waters.
Bradley was getting irritated; he didn’t want to stay here anymore. At this moment, he realized he didn’t like men. He only liked Cameron so much that her gender didn’t even matter.
Just as Bradley was about to leave, an arm suddenly wrapped around his waist.
Bradley was stunned.
He jolted instantly, disgusted to the core, and twisted the man’s arm hard without hesitation.
“Ah!” A cry tore from the man’s throat, and with that, Bradley bolted out of the bar and sped off in his car as if a monster was chasing after him.

Bradley’s expression was solemn, and he felt disgusted all over, especially at his waist.
He sped back to Noble Vista, and the second he stepped inside, he ripped off his gold-rimmed glasses and set them down at the entryway.
Then, he yanked off his shirt, tossed it straight into the trash, and headed for the bathroom without a second thought.
Bradley scrubbed himself down ten times, until his skin was red all over; his waist, in particular, was nearly raw from all the scrubbing.
He stood under the shower, letting the hot water pour over him.
With one hand pressed against the wall, a faint smile slowly crept onto his handsome and wet face.
He didn’t like men. He just liked Cameron, and gender had nothing to do with it.
After his shower, Bradley slipped into a fresh robe and had just started to relax when his phone buzzed with a call from Eddie.
“Hello,” Bradley said.
“Brad!” Eddie’s voice blasted through the phone, sounding way too cheerful. “So? Did you go? Did you figure it out? What’s the verdict. Do you like guys or… guys?”
“Eddie,” Bradley suddenly dropped his voice, “you’d better not come back to the country.”
Bradley broke that creep’s arm today, never wanting to see him again.
“What’s wrong?” Eddie played dumb.
“What’s wrong?” Bradley gritted his teeth. “Come back and find out yourself.”
Eddie burst into laughter. “Let me guess, Brad. Did someone try to take advantage of you? With your looks and that vibe, I bet people are lining up to flirt with you.”
Bradley suddenly realized something. He asked through gritted teeth, “You set me up, didn’t you?”
Eddie laughed harder. “Serves you right for being so stubborn. Took getting hit on to admit you’re into Cameron, huh?”
“Eddie, you better never come back.” With that, Bradley hung up on Eddie.
Eddie clutched his phone, laughing so hard that tears nearly spilt from his eyes. He hadn’t even seen it happen, but just picturing Bradley totally losing it was hilarious.
It was a pity he wasn’t in the country to see it for himself.
Bradley finally admitted to himself how he felt.
He unlocked his phone and looked at the graduation photo with Cameron. Both of them were in their Langford Acadermy uniforms. Cameron was half a head shorter, and they both were smiling softly.
The photo made him smile widely because they actually looked perfect together.
He glanced at the clock and found that it was almost 10 PM. He needed to return to his dorm, as his university didn’t allow overnight stays off campus unless the students applied for leave in advance.
Even though he was sure about his feelings for Cameron now, he still didn’t know how Cameron felt about him.
Tonight, Stellanford University held its freshman welcome party.
Amelia stole the show in a white ballet dress, gliding across the stage like she owned it. Lila clapped so hard her hands nearly went numb.
“She’s gorgeous! I can’t believe Amelia is not only pretty but she can dance like that too. Right?” Lila gushed as she nudged Cameron with her elbow.
Cameron, a bit of a neat freak, scooted away. But she still responded with a nod. “Yeah.”
Amelia was a great dancer, and Cameron had to give her that.
Sienna agreed, “Yeah, she’s really beautiful.”
A few guys sitting behind them were already whispering among themselves, trying to figure out which department Amelia was in so they could ask for her contact later.
Lila turned to Cameron. “Why didn’t you perform?”
Lila had sung earlier herself and actually did pretty well, earning a good amount of applause.
Cameron smiled. “I’m not good at that kind of thing.”
Lila said, “Sorry about that.”
Cameron smiled. “It’s fine.”
Sienna glanced at Cameron, something unreadable flashing through her eyes.
Sienna wondered, ‘Wait… does Cameron not have any special talents either? Me too.’
Sienna’s family was struggling financially, so all she could do was study. They couldn’t afford to support her for talent classes.
Sienna worked her butt off just to get into Stellanford University, the best university in the country.
But once she got here, she realized everyone wasn’t just smart. They all came from pretty wealthy families too.
It wasn’t like back in high school, where in their little county, most of the rich kids didn’t even care about studying.
Amelia was covered head to toe in designer brands. Just one look at her revealed that her family was loaded.
Lila also clearly came from money.
Cameron barely talked, kept a low profile, and no one could tell the brand of her clothes.
But her two brothers, who dropped her off that day, were dressed so well that Sienna just assumed Cameron’s family was rich too.
She never expected Cameron to not have any talent at all.
Sienna had always thought kids from wealthy families had some extra edge. If they weren’t good in academics, they had talents, hobbies, or training to fall back on.
But now it seemed Cameron was just like her, and neither of their families had much money.
In that moment, Sienna felt a real sense of connection. Cameron must have felt Sienna looking at her, because she turned and glanced over.
Sienna flashed Cameron a bright, genuine smile. Before this, she’d been so self-conscious she couldn’t even meet Cameron’s eyes.
Cameron gave her a small nod.
After finishing her dance, Amelia made her way back to her seat.
“You were absolutely stunning!” Lila gave her a big thumbs-up.
“Thank you.” Amelia nodded with a smile, but her gaze lingered on Cameron longer.
Cameron didn’t hold back her praise either. “That was really impressive.”
Amelia’s smile grew even brighter. “Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed my show.”
A few guys sitting nearby looked like they were about to come over and chat with her, but they backed off when they saw Amelia laughing and talking with the girls.
The guys finally caught up to them when the welcome party ended and the four girls were making their way out with the crowd.
One tall guy stepped forward and blocked Amelia’s path, trying to look smooth. “Hey, your dance tonight was amazing. Want to be friends? Maybe take my phone number?”
Amelia had been smiling, but at his words, her expression turned cold and distant. “Sorry, I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“Why not?” Another guy stepped in and blocked her path. “Come on, beautiful. Just exchange phone numbers with us. We’re all from the same university, after all.”
Amelia was starting to get annoyed. Ever since what happened with Bradley, she just couldn’t bring herself to care about guys anymore.
Bradley looked so perfect on the outside, but behind the scenes, he was a totally different person.
Hence, she couldn’t even imagine what this bunch of guys was like behind closed doors.
