His eyes turned sinister as he said, “Audrey, I don’t like hearing those words from you!”.

“I don’t care if you don’t like it, you bastard! Cornell, you’re an asshole! A pervert!”

Audrey lost control of herself. She broke down-how could Cornell confine her to this place?

“You’re not behaving at all.” Cornell spoke calmly, but the look in his dark eyes was terrifying.

Suddenly, a piercing sound echoed in the room.

It violently tore away the pajamas Audrey had just put on.

The air around him seemed to freeze.

Audrey was trembling with fear. He still couldn’t believe it. He stammered, “Cornell, what…what do you want to do?”

“Give you the punishment you deserve.”

Cornell’s eyes were full of sadness. He seemed to have completely lost his mind.

“Cornell, please… No… Please…”

Audrey tried to dodge, but his head had already hit the headboard.

It created a thud, but Cornell didn’t seem to mind. 1

He had no other way out anymore.

Cornell had no mercy anymore. He leaned down and bit her beautiful neck relentlessly.

Audrey bit down hard on her lower lip, feeling the excruciating pain. She felt indignant and resentful at the same time.

“Cornell… You’re such an asshole…”.

Cornell’s large, somewhat rough hands cruelly rubbed Audrey’s breasts.

“You love cursing me, huh? I’ve got enough energy that you get too tired of cursing me.”

Audrey immediately shut her mouth, not daring to say a single harsh word.

She was used to his lack of restraint, so she could tolerate it. But this time was different. There was a baby in her womb.

At the thought of her baby, Audrey’s face paled. She pleaded, “Cornell, let’s try another…”.

But Cornell suddenly sealed her lips with his to prevent her from speaking.

The next moment, time again became long and unbearable.

Cornell was fierce, he acted like an animal. He did not stop until the sky outside slowly brightened.

Audrey was so exhausted that she fell into a deep sleep.

The sky was already a little dark when he woke up.

She suddenly remembered that she had to work today. She hurriedly got up and, without realizing it, her eyes fell on the garbage can near the door. He saw the torn pajamas he wore last night lying there.

This sight reminded Audrey of last night’s prolonged torment. His face paled immediately.

He ran to the closet in a panic, hoping to find something to wear. When he opened it, he was surprised to see that it was filled with the season’s luxury women’s clothing. They were all new and still had the tags on.

Some of the garments and accessories looked familiar to Audrey. They were from the latest winter collection that Cornell had asked the store clerk to deliver earlier in the fall.

When they divorced, she hadn’t taken a single garment with her. She didn’t expect them to still be ordered here.

Audrey didn’t have time to think too hard. She picked out a dress at random, put it on and headed for the door.

But when she pulled on the door, it wouldn’t open. She tried several times, but failed.

She went out to the balcony and saw that the back door was also locked.

Not only the doors, but also the windows and other access points were sealed.

He had no escape.

Audrey slumped to the floor.

He hadn’t expected Cornell to be serious. He really intended to lock her up here.

At the hospital, Nicole had already finished picking up.

Nicole was doing much better, so she was discharged. The doctor said she could rest at home to fully recover, so Jarrod had arranged for a car to pick her up at the hospital.

Jarrod had planned to pick her up personally, but was delayed because of Jamie’s business.

Nicole was relieved when she learned he couldn’t come. Actually, she didn’t want to see him.

Although he had destroyed what Jarrod had on her father, Jarrod claimed to know a doctor who could cure her father’s heart condition.

He promised to arrange for the doctor to fly in and perform the operation within a week.

Nicole decided to trust him again. She behaved obediently while waiting for the scheduled operation.

Outside the hospital, she immediately saw Jarrod’s company car. This car came to pick her up often, so she already knew it. She got in without hesitation.

The car drove slowly until it arrived in front of a villa.

Nicole realized she had never been here before, so she asked, “Why are we here?”

“It’s Mr. Schultz’s instructions,” the driver replied.

Nicole thought of nothing else. She got out of the car and went into the house.

As soon as she entered, the door slammed shut and was locked from the outside.

Then, a man dressed in a red suit slowly came out from around the corner, looking at Nicole mischievously. “Miss Lawrence, we meet again.”

Howe, the man in the red suit, had the disturbing look of a pervert.

Nicole eyed Howe suspiciously and grumpily asked, “What are you doing here?”

Rumors of Howe’s cruel treatment of his sexual partners had reached Nicole. Some even spoke of a woman who had died during an encounter with him.

Howe approached Nicole with a leering look on his face and said, “This is my house. Why can’t I be here?”

Nicole’s heart skipped a beat. Despite the fear that gripped her, she forced herself to remain calm and said, “I’m sorry. I must have been in the wrong place.”

She turned to the door and pulled on it several times, but it wouldn’t budge.

“No, you didn’t get the wrong place,” Howe said. He moved so close to Nicole that he could hear her breathing.

His voice made Nicole feel nauseous and her hair stand on end. Also, her hand was shaking on the doorknob.

What do you mean?” Nicole stammered in fright.

“Don’t you realize what’s going on?”. replied Howe.

Nicole’s heart shrank. Trying to remain calm, she clenched her fist and feigned ignorance. “I don’t understand. Please open the door. I want to come back.”

Howe burst out laughing. He put his hand on Nicole’s shoulder and slowly slid it down. “Do I really have to spell it out for you? Jarrod sent you to me.

As he spoke, his hand slid down to the collar of her shirt.

Nicole slapped his hand away and stepped back. With her eyes fixed on him, she asked incredulously, “Did Jarrod really say that?”

Howe’s hand ached from the slap. Annoyed, he sneered, “Of course! Who do you think you are, Jarrod sent you to me after I mentioned you once.”

Nicole laughed coldly to herself. What Jarrod had done didn’t surprise her.

It was something he would probably do, after all.

“Even if it was Jarrod, he has no right to send me to you. Open the door now or I’m calling the police.” She pulled out her cell phone, ready to call the police.

Bang! Suddenly, the phone fell to the floor.

Howe approached her with his eyes narrowed ominously.

Nicole sensed danger and quickly backed away. Realizing she couldn’t escape through the door, she ran upstairs in search of a room to hide in.

Unfortunately, Howe grabbed her by the hair just as she reached the stairs. The pain was intense and she felt as if her hair was going to be pulled out.

“Ow!” cried Nicole, tears in her eyes.
