Winona didn’t want to divorce. Her love for Liam was genuine, and she didn’t want to part with her two children.
Winona didn’t think she had done anything wrong. She only felt that Lily was causing trouble for her.
Everything was fine before Lily came, but now it was different.
Lily is such a nuisance!
Winona didn’t like Lily at all. She even thought about kicking her out.
The following day, Lily woke up at approximately 9 o’clock. She rubbed her eyes and leaned over the balcony, where she spotted Hugh watering the flowers in the garden.
“Good morning, Grandpa!” Lily greeted, holding onto the balcony railing and poking her head out.
Upon hearing this, Hugh’s mood instantly brightened. He smiled and replied, “Good morning, sweetheart.
Please don’t lean so close to the balcony. It’s dangerous. Come down and have breakfast with me.”
“Okay!” Lily agreed, but unfortunately, she discovered that her head was stuck.
Lily was taken aback. She attempted to turn her head sideways, but to no avail.
How did I manage to get in here earlier?
With no other option, Lily grabbed onto the balcony railing and called out, “Grandpa…”
Hugh looked up and became anxious. “What’s wrong?”
“It appears that I’m stuck,” Lily said, blinking innocently.
Upon hearing this, Hugh was stunned.
Early in the morning, Lily found herself stuck on the balcony’s iron railings.
Anthony and the rest of the family were astonished.
However, Zachary couldn’t help but laugh.
Lily was furious. “Don’t laugh!” she scolded, glaring angrily at Zachary.
Gilbert covered his mouth and coughed slightly, but he couldn’t hide the smile in his eyes.
Although everyone was concerned about Lily, they still found it amusing.
Only Bettany was anxious. “Stop laughing! Hurry up and help Lily!”
Immediately, Liam said, “I’m calling 911 right now!”
Hearing that, Lily was shocked. She immediately refused. “No! Don’t call 911,
Uncle Liam!”
Firefighters were Lily’s idols. When she was young, she saw them extinguishing a fire in South City. From that moment, firefighters became her heroes who could save the world.
For that reason, how could she let her idols see her in such a situation?
However, Bettany understood what Lily was thinking. “Lily, it’s dangerous. Let the firefighters help you get out, okay?”
“No, Granny! I-I can get out. Just wait a minute…” Lily stubbornly resisted.
With that, Lily took a deep breath and attempted to squeeze her head out. However, she accidentally hit her head, causing pain.
Pablo was speechless. He couldn’t help but cover his face.
“Come on, don’t do that. You look silly,” he said. “Try breaking the iron railings.”
Hearing that, Lily was stunned.
What? Break the iron railings? How is that possible?
Leaning against the railings, Pablo stared at Lily and said, “Come on! Try it for yourself! Why do you think I gave you the red bracelet?”
Hearing that, Lily looked at the red bracelet on her wrist.
Behind her, Winona stood at the door and glared at Lily.
How did she get herself stuck there? What a foolish girl!
Winona seemed unhappy when all the family members were worried about Lily. Everybody was trying to help Lily out. Some came with a ladder, and some even prepared cushions on the ground floor.
Why were they so nervous? The garden lawn is so thick. She won’t die if she falls from the second floor!
Winona suddenly felt that the Crawford family was biased. They only cared about Lily. It was unfair to Hannah.
A large air cushion was set up in the garden. Anthony and Bryson looked serious.
Bryson said, “Children’s heads are generally bigger than their bodies. If their heads can fit through, their bodies can fit through too. Lily just needs to twist her body a bit to get out.”
“But it’s too risky. What if she falls?” Anthony asked with concern.
Jonas pushed his gold-rimmed glasses and smiled. “The air cushion is so thick. She won’t die if she falls from the second floor.”
Hearing that, everybody glared at him.
Jonas threw his hands up, even though what he said was true.
Anthony and the rest had no choice but to tell Bettany their plan. However, they were worried that Bettany wouldn’t accept it.
Bettany asked worriedly, “What if Lily falls and hits her head? What if she sprains her neck? What if she hurts her eyes?”
Hearing that, Bryson had no choice but to comfort her. “Mom, don’t worry. Edward is bringing the pliers.”
Everyone was so worried that no one noticed Lily bending the iron railings with her bare hands.
The red bracelet on her wrist emitted a faint light, and suddenly, the railings bent effortlessly.
Lily tilted her head and easily got out.
“I got out!”
Seeing that, everybody was shocked.
They didn’t see how Lily got out. Even Bettany, who was holding Lily’s arm, didn’t notice it.
Seeing the bent railings, everybody was amazed.
However, Anthony remained calm. He stood in front of Lily, blocking the bent railings behind him.
“Lily, go down and have breakfast with Granny!”
The others also quickly stood in front of the bent railings, unintentionally blocking them.
Winona was confused.
How did Lily come out? What are they hiding behind their backs? Are they blaming me for what happened to Lily now?
Thinking of that, Winona pursed her lips and went downstairs. She somehow felt isolated.
Gilbert asked, “Lily, did you bend these?”
“Yes!” Lily nodded and blinked her eyes.
