With those parting words, she started off in the direction of the in-school suspension room, leaving him standing alone in the middle of the hallway.

Dirty Tackle
While he didn’t usually care about the rumors and gossip that focused on him, Sebastian found himself desperately wishing his unfortunate night with Stick Girl hadn’t come to light. Of all the things Jude could have revealed, he had to pick the one that Sebastian was keen on never telling another soul.
“You can leave if you want,” Michael murmured, sending knowing glances to both Jacob and Marcus. “We’ll stay and do damage control.”
In times like this, Sebastian was grateful to have loyal friends. Though there were now two family members of his that he couldn’t trust, these three made up for that tenfold.
“Thanks.” He sighed as he got to his feet. “Come find me if things get too out of hand.”
“Got it. Now get out of here before the vultures come for you.”
Sebastian offered up a half-assed eye roll as he jogged out of the courtyard, trying hard to ignore the stares that followed him into the building. Fortunately, the hallways were deserted, giving him a straight shot back to the safety of the in-school suspension room where he wouldn’t have to face anyone except for Stick Girl for the rest of the day. He couldn’t believe he actually preferred that.
He slowed to a walk as he turned into the corridor that led away from the courtyard, allowing himself to relax a little, but the action proved to be premature.
A sudden shove from behind was enough to make him stumble and bump into a nearby locker. He easily regained his balance and turned to face his assailant, putting him face to face with a livid Zak.
“What the hell, Huntington?”
The look in Zak’s eyes told Sebastian that his words had likely gone in one ear and out the other. The guy was too furious to comprehend anything.
“Did you sleep with my ex-girlfriend?” the tattooed menace demanded.
He was taken aback by the question, trying to figure out if he’d actually heard the guy correctly. “Excuse me?”
“Don’t make me repeat myself, Phillips,” Zak said as he stepped forward, putting them almost eye to eye.
Sebastian couldn’t keep from sneering. “If you want an answer, I’d suggest taking a step back, asshole.”
Zak hesitated as if he were debating whether or not to take a swing at the guy who had a good thirty pounds of muscle on him, but ultimately decided to put a bit of distance between them.
“Did you or did you not sleep with Lia?” Zak demanded, his inked fingers curling into fists.
For the second time in less than thirty seconds, Sebastian was baffled by the questions being hurled at him. “Who the hell is that?”
“Talia, Lia, whatever,” Zak huffed, clearly becoming impatient with the situation. “Did you sleep with her?”
“You mean Taliana Avilla?
She’s your ex?”
Zak’s tightly clenched jaw answered the question for him.
It was hard to imagine anyone would date this guy, but Zak and Stick Girl were clearly a match made in hell. Still, Sebastian fought a grin as he rocked back on his heels, no longer feeling threatened by the pathetic kid in front of him. This little piece of information was priceless. God, he could only imagine the hours of entertainment he would get from taunting Stick Girl about this.
“Well, if she’s your ex, I don’t see why you care whether or not we hooked up,” he said, shrugging nonchalantly even though he was absolutely bursting with joy inside. “She’s not your property.”
He hadn’t anticipated the other boy to resort to violence, but when Zak’s fingers curled into the front of Sebastian’s white shirt, he realized this wasn’t going to be an easily won battle.
“You son of a bitch,” Zak growled.
While he may have threatened physical violence sometimes, it wasn’t often Sebastian actually laid a hand on another person. Most of the disagreements he got into were usually solved with the help of a team of outrageously expensive lawyers. However, if someone dared to touch him, he had no qualms about taking matters into his own hands.
It didn’t take much effort to get the lightweight to release his grip, and shortly after the sound of Zak’s body colliding with the nearest bay of lockers echoed down the hall.
“Don’t ever touch me again,” Sebastian said calmly, smoothing out the wrinkle in his shirt. “Do you understand?”
Zak looked more stunned than anything, but it didn’t take long for rage to reappear in his eyes. “Fuck you,” he rasped, slowly pushing away from the lockers as if the blow had done damage. “Just give me an answer: did you sleep with her?”
If that was all this asshole wanted to know… “The answer to your question is yes, I did,” Sebastian replied easily. “And I’ve even got the scars to prove it.”
Shooting one last smug glance in Zak’s direction, Sebastian turned on his heel and took off toward the ISS room at the end of the hall. Stick Girl was waiting for him with a scowl when he entered, slamming the door behind him.
“You didn’t tell me Zak Huntington is your ex-boyfriend.”
Taliana looked up sharply, ice-blue eyes narrowing slightly. “Who told you that?”
“He did.” Sebastian sighed, suddenly exhausted as he dropped into his chair.
“That asshole,” she grumbled, twisting the diamond ring around her finger as she paced. “What else did he say?”
“Not much, but he made it clear he still thinks you belong to him.”
Sebastian watched as she strode angrily across the tiny room a few times before kicking a chair and swearing under her breath.
“Bad break up?” he asked with a smile, turning her own words back on her.
“Oh, piss off.”
“It must have been to garner that kind of reaction from you,” he taunted, outright grinning now. “What did he do? Dump you in front of everyone? Cheat on you?” A bark of laughter escaped him as her face began steadily growing red. “I wouldn’t be surprised by either of those. You’re insufferable, Stick Girl.”
“Shut up!”
