The other four stood frozen, clueless about what had just happened.
Cameron quickly snatched the bottle from the unconscious boy’s hand, sprayed each of the remaining four in the face, and they too p promptly passed
OUL
She wiped her fingerprints off the bottle, stuffed it back into the tall boy’s hand, then stood up and let the restroom expressionlessly.
At the door, Cameron looked back
These five would miss today’s math exam. Missing one subject, no matter how well they did in others, would tank their total score and surely impact their lives significantly.
If she hadn’t been reborn, she would be the one missing the math exam today, her life thrown off track.
This was the consequence of their unscrupulous pursuit of money.
Cameron grabbed her admission ticket and returned to the classroom.
She entered ten minutes late, so the two proctors conducted a thorough check on her, but found nothing amiss.
“You should watch the time, Kids these days have no sense of punctuality. This is the most important moment of your life,” said an elderly female teacher
Cameron said, “Sorry, I had to use the restroom
She took her seat, scanned the paper, and then began writing
The earlier incident didn’t stop her from finishing early. Cameron still handed in her paper half an hour ahead of time.
William waited outside with a smile. “Why did you finish early again?”
Cameron said, “I’m confident”
William smiled. “I know. So am I.
But inwardly, he sighed, wishing she’d double check more.
Yet all he could do was force a smile-he couldn’t risk affecting Cameron’s mood for tomorrow’s exam. Her state of mind mattered more than anything.
Cameron smiled and went to wait by the bus for the others to finish.
She was the fir first to board, followed shortly by Elijah.
Elijah had also handed in early
Seeing Cameron there, he wasn’t surprised.
This year’s math paper was surely a breeze for her.
Cameron smiled. “Elijah, you finished early, too!”
Elijah nodded. “Except for the last bonus question, which I’m not 10016 sure about, the rest was fine
In math, you either know it or you don’t. Students stuck on a problem would just waste ari
So Elijah had left the test site early.
Cameron nodded. “How did you solve the last question?” hour sitting there. two exchanged problem solving ideas
Ebjah’s eyes lit up. “Oh, so that’s how it is?”
Cameron smiled. “Looks like you’ll lose ten points.”
Uljah laughed, too. “I don’t have the skills for a perfect score anyway.”
Cameron said, “Sometimes luck matters, but your score is already high enough”
Elijah nodded and asked, “One more exam this afternoon. Do you feel pressured now?”
Cameron said. “I’m okay”
Elijah nodded. “The Writing and Language section is where scores get separated. If you ace this one, you’ll definitely be first in this year’s SAT”
Cameron just smiled, propped her hands behind her head, and looked out the bus window at the scenery.
Students gradually finished their exams and boarded the bus. Austin, Bradley, and Xander all got on.
“So hard. This year’s math paper was really tough,” one classmate sighed.
“If you all think it’s hard, then it’s normal for a PE student like me to struggle,” said Xander, who had struggled to finish the paper. He had a hunchheld bombed math, so hearing others complain made him feel better.
Austin smiled. “Yeah, Xander, I thought it was tough too.”
Bradley sat diagonally across from Cameron. “My parents are waiting outside the school and want to have dinner with everyone. Do you guys have time?”
Xander said, “Let’s do it after the SAT”
That’s how they’d rejected him yesterday.
Bradley said, “My parents rarely come to Viremont. They just want to have a meal with you, Cameron.”
After today’s exams, each class would have its own celebration. If Room 316 wanted to gather after graduation, they’d need to schedule another time.
Cameron said, “Okay”
Xander whipped his head around to stare at Cameron, nearly popping his eyes out. She’d refused yesterday but changed her mind today.
Xander was jealous of how well Cameron treated Bradley.
Bradley said, “Our whole dorm can go together lijah also agreed. “Brad, shall we go right after getting off the bus?”
Austin nodded. Elijah
Bradley nodded, “Eat early and rest up-we still have an exam this afternoon.”
Xander putted up like a balloon, shrinking into his seat without saying yes or no.
In the end, Xander followed Cameron to the school gate to meet Bradley’s family.
Except for the youngest, least popular sister and Eric, who was studying abroad, the entire Saunders family was there. Their luxury cars lined up in a row.
“Hey, Cam, Hde with mel Eddie leaned against a red Ferrari, grinning end waving at Cameron
Cameron nodded to him.
Bradley brought his roommates quer and gave a quick introduction. “Mom, Dad, Grandma, these are Cameron, Elijah, Xander, and Austin-
Bradley’s mother, Beth Saunders, wore a dark purple dress and smilled gently. “Everyone in the cars first. We can get to know each other better at the restaurant
Bradley’s father, Frederick Saunders, looked imposing but showed goodwill. “Please, everyone, get in the cats”
Cameron chose Eddie’s car since she know him better.
As soon as Cameron got into the backseat, Xander squeezed in after her, which annoyed her slightly.
Austin also opened the passenger door and got in.
Eddie smiled widely. “I didn’t expect to be this popular, Right, Cam?”
Cameron laughed. “You really are popular”
Hearing her call Eddie by his first name, Xander frowned. “You two are that close?”
Send
Cameron trust have been on familiar terms with Eddie to call him by his first name.
Not only did Cameron take Bradley’s side, but she was actually so close with his family, Xander’s heart grew heavier by the minute.
Eddie smiled and said, “Of course, we’ve met so many times aber all fight, Cam?”
Cameron nodded helplessly and said. “Yeah”
Hearing Eddie call her “Cam” made Xander even more mummymil.
He was very displeased to Find Bradley’s family getting along so well with Cameron, so he kept silent and just frowned.
Cameron didit even glance at his sour face.
Austin was also surprised that Cameron was so familiar with Bradley’s family, but his emotions weren’t as obvious as Xander’s.
