After a short drive I see the Palace come in to view and the sight is amazing. The bricks used on the outside are a light color and I can’t tell what color it actually is from this distance.
There are multiple towers with light grey roofing, I can see a lot of windows and I can’t wait to see the view from them.
The gate opens and the SUV’s drive through it as it reveals a landscape of trees, shrubs and flowers in different colors and sizes. To the left I see a pond with a small wooden bridge across it.
To my right I see shrubs sculpted in to animals like an elephant and a dolphin. Looking at the flowers I know I will spend a lot of time out side, exploring the grounds of the Palace.
“Welcome home, Princess.” Kaelan says after he has opened the door for me. One foot is out the door as I smell Chocolate Chip Cookies and Ivory starts jumping in my head.
I start to feel the same kind of pull I felt before Alaric showed up and I ask “Ivory, is that our Mate.” She just nods her head and as I get further out of the car I am hit with the scent of Chocolate Cake.
I am standing next to Kaelan when I suddenly feel a bit dizzy, Camden is by my side swiftly and I hear a load growl as the scent of Chocolate Milkshake hits me. Ivory is running circles in my head and I have to hold on to Camden, because my knees are about to give in.
The scents are getting closer and my head starts spinning. “Stop.” I whisper and then my world turns black.
Malachay’s P.O.V.
Ever since Alaric left, we have been anxious and my Lycan wasn’t making it any better. He was acting up, but there was no explanation for it.
The Guard at the gate informed us that they had returned and we all went outside to await their arrival. It was uncommon for the Council to request the King’s presence, but even more strange was the fact that they had requested the presence of Queen Anayah and Princess Maleah.
I see Kaelan and Camden get out of an SUV and I wonder why they came to the Palace. They had signed up with the Council when we had been unable to find a trace of Princess Izabella. We all know that they blame themselves for what happened and I thought they would never return to the Palace again.
They rush for the backdoor of the car that holds the Royal family. Ward is already down the steps and Eamon is following him. I want to ask them what they are doing here, so I start to descend the steps.
I see Ward’s head snap towards Kaelan and Eamon tilts his head to the left. As soon as I take the last step I am hit with the scent of Tuberose and I growl loudly as I realize that Camden is too close to the source.
My Brothers and I make our way over to the scent when the command to stop hits us. We stop dead in our tracks and I hear Ward ask “What the hell is this.” Alaric gets out of the SUV and heads towards us and through the mind-link he commands us to go to his office.
We have no other choice but to comply, even though it pisses the three of us off.
Alaric and his Betas walk in and I can tell that he is worried about something. “Why don’t we all sit down, so I can explain a few things.” All of us look at him and we know that what he has to say will not sit well with any of us.
“Ethan, you were right about the Pack-member from Blue Crystal Pack. Kaelan, Camden and Amand were send there to pick someone up. Her name is Maya and the second they saw her, they knew who she was.
However it seemed that no one, not even Maya, was aware of it. Her Mother was Izabella.” I have mixed emotions and I know that the others feel the same way.
Alaric tells us everything he found out in the past few hours and I am fuming, my Lycan wants to rip her Father apart. “Where is she?” I ask through gritted teeth.
“She is in the infirmary with Grandmother and Anayah. The guys are standing guard outside her room.” He says and my Lycan is howling in my head. “It is nothing serious. Doc thinks that she got overwhelmed by everything she found out today.”
“Should we tell him that we might have been the cause?” Eamon asks through the mind-link and I tell him that that will be best. “Alaric, I think that an additional discovery might have triggered it.” Eamon says and I see Alaric look at him in confusion. “What do you mean, Eamon?”
“After everything you and the Council told her, I think finding out she has three Mates was a little bit too much.” Alaric’s jaw drops as he is listening to Eamon.
A smile forms on his face and I release the breath I didn’t know I was holding. “You might be right about that. She already went through a rollercoaster of feelings, so yeah, discovering you have three Mates might have caused it.”
“Who ordered us to stop? I doubt anyone realized what was going on.” I ask him and when he tells me it was our Mate, it is my jaw that drops.
Princess Maleah’s P.O.V.
My feelings and mind have been on a rollercoaster-ride ever since I got out of the elevator at the Council’s Academy.
I don’t think I have ever felt this many emotions at once, not even after we found out why Izabella ran away from home or after Alaric killed his Father, my Son. Anayah puts her hand on my arm and pulls me from my thoughts.
“Grandmother, you better check your phone. Grandfather is currently blowing up mine.” She says giggling. I pull out my phone and see that I have a lot of messages and missed calls from my Mate.
