She came up to me with joy, her golden curls swaying on my arms like cuddly kittens. I had only one thought in my head: Was She really an adult? She looks like a fairy tale fairy. Witches don’t age like werewolves?

“Yes. Of course, we witches and werewolves are different.” A clear voice sounded in my ear, I found myself accidentally saying the words of the heart.

“I know you think I’m a kid, but I’m almost 100 years old. I grew up in the depths of the forest, so I only keep this lovely appearance. Don’t look at me like I’m a child. I’m a very powerful witch.” She winked and smiled at me. “But, sister, why are you walking with two werewolves? Oh, no, exactly, Lycans.”

“Wolf… Werewolf! ?”

“The one next to you and the one driving in front of you.” Vivian’s raised voice made my eyes widen in confusion.

Thinking of Alen and Callum lying unconscious next to me, I was a little worried that being a werewolf would scare the girl, so I asked nervously, “You mean… You know who they are? Aren’t you scared?”

How was Vivian able to identify us in the first few minutes of our interaction? Are all witches this powerful?

“The smell of werewolves is so strong!” Vivian pinched her tiny nose and pouted, complaining. “But, sister, you smell so good. Are you a human that was captured? I can help you run away.”

She can’t tell I’m a werewolf. I’m almost human without a wolf. I thought to myself.

“Run away?” The husky voice interrupted what I was about to say, and Callum, who had been resting with his eyes closed, suddenly spoke.

He did not open his eyes. His dark eyebrows were furrowed with anger, and the low but invisible warning of a weak voice made me shudder.

Callum hasn’t spoken since his coma, and I’ve been there for him. Although his eyes were closed, I always felt that he was watching me closely. His fingers were always on my dress. Every time I treated his wound, his muscles relaxed significantly, letting me know that he was not completely unconscious.

“Ah! I thought he couldn’t hear.” Vivian was surprised to cover her mouth, eyes fluttering toward me.

“My Lord! How are you?” I had no time to think. I threw myself in front of him and stared into his pale face.

Callum didn’t speak, but his fingers gripped my clothes tightly. His knuckles bulged, and blue blood vessels were visible under the skin.

“Sister, what’s wrong with him?” Vivian poked me and looked at Callum curiously.

“Vivian, if you were a witch, could you make an antidote to Wolfsbane?” I suddenly remembered what Alen had said. Callum has been attacked by a magic wolfsbane, and perhaps Vivian’s arrival will bring hope ahead of time.

“Let me see,” said Vivian, looking down in her small pocket. The sound of countless bottles clinking came from her pocket, and as I looked more closely, I realized that many mysterious symbols were flickering.

“Ah! This!” Vivian shouted, and my heart was in my throat. She took out a green pill bottle, uncorked it with her slender fingers, and carefully poured a green pill into my palm.

“Well! This is the treatment of Wolfsbane Oh!” Vivian happily clapped her hands, her eyes into the spring as clear.

I looked at the Pill in my hand, but I didn’t dare to feed it directly to Callum.

If there’s a problem…

I struggle to look at Callum in bed, although he can not speak, but I know he is awake.

So I leaned over to his ear and whispered, “Your Highness, would you like to try? If you don’t want to try, let go of my clothes.”

For a long time, as Vivian and I watched, Callum’s hand held my clothes steadily.

“This man is smart! I am the future Chief Witch. Although my mothers say I am sometimes careless, I am very good at detoxification!” Vivian rubbed her nose proudly.

I lift Callum’s chin and carefully open his tight lips with my fingers. I slipped the pill into his mouth, but he couldn’t swallow it.

“Is there water? Vivian.” I looked around anxiously, and Vivian just shrugged.

A rush of tension came over me, and I kissed him on his slightly cold lips with a shiver, blood rushing through my body, my heart pounding, and my face tingling with shame.

My tongue went limply between his sharp teeth and lips, scraping through his sensitive mouth and slowly pushing the pill down his throat. Our moist breath entwined. I could see every eyelash on his face. My palm was covered with a thin layer of sweat. I stroked his larynx and felt the medicine slide down his throat. My flushed face was finally free. I held his arm with a trembling hand so I wouldn’t fall.

As Callum’s breathing softened, Vivian and I nervously waited for his reaction.

After a while, Callum finally opened his eyes. His golden amber eyes reflected me again.

“Well done, my girl.”

The awakening of Callum surprised Alen into stopping the carriage. He especially found some spring for Callum to drink, nervous to listen to Callum questioned Vivian.

“So, as a witch, why are you in werewolf territory?” Callum had always been healthy. After taking the medicine, his face was no longer so pale and haggard. He sat up again, she looked at Vivian with cold suspicion.

“I was drunk and didn’t find the right path.” Vivian sensed Callum’s suspicion and became a little aggrieved when Callum looked at her. “This lycan picked me up. Vivian is very grateful to him.

Alen lowered his head. He didn’t dare look Callum in the eye. He was supposed to follow the leader’s permission to bring in other species that weren’t part of the pack. But when Alen decided to take Vivian in, Callum was in a coma.

“Yes, Alen asked me to take good care of her,” I added.

“Give me one reason, Alen, why take her in?”

“Your Highness, I’m sorry, but I can’t watch her in such a dangerous place.” Alen’s face was red. He struggled to raise his head. “Maybe she’s mine, mate.”

Alen’s voice was getting quieter. There was a strange light in his soft sky-blue eyes, but I could hear his last word about mate.

Oh, I covered my mouth. Werewolves and Lycans have a special nature. They seek out mates in large groups of people. In order to make them not miss, the great Moon Goddess left us a guide. Perhaps a figure, perhaps a trace of smell, perhaps just at first sight, we will recognize our mate.

However, not all werewolves can find their mate successfully, and many werewolves have not found their mate until their death. Only those who have been blessed by the Moon goddess have such divine luck.

Callum raised an eyebrow, looked around Vivian again, and asked Alen, “Are you sure?”

“Sister, what is mate?” Vivian looked at me blankly.

“Ha-ha!” Callum laughed, and Alen looked away awkwardly.

“Then where are you going? You saved my life. I can give you a ride.” Perhaps because of Alen’s request, Callum’s gaze toward Vivian was no longer so sharp.

“I was going to go to my teacher. She lives far down in the valley, and I’m going to give her a present before the honeysuckle blossoms come out next year. But it’s still early, and I’m not sure if my teacher is traveling the world right now, so I’m doing my own travel.” Vivian looked naive.

“You didn’t sneak away, did you?” Callum sneered.

“No! This is the first time I’ve left my home. My mother knows! She says a witch must go on her own adventures to be great!” She puffed out her cheeks in anger.

“So What’s your adventure?”

Vivian’s eyes darted around. She looked back at Callum and asked curiously, “Why did you drink wolfsbane? The teacher said that werewolves hate wolfsbane the most.”

Callum’s eyes darkened. Instead of answering Vivian’s question, he looked at me suddenly and said, “You can tell I’m Lycan, but you can’t tell who she is, can you?”

“Sister… . is also a werewolf?” Vivian cocked her head, shrugged her nose, and asked incredulously. “She smells so special. She doesn’t smell like a werewolf at all.”

In Vivian’s innocent eyes, I felt an arrow in my heart.

“Since you’re a witch, you must know how to turn her into a werewolf,” Karal said slowly, narrowing his eyes.

Alen’s face grew heavy. He looked at Callum, struggled, and said nothing.

Yes! Why didn’t I think of that? Witches often have special powers such as transformations, potions, and so on. Now, the girl standing in front of me is a real witch. My heart tightened for a moment, and hope rose from the bottom of my heart.
