He penetrated her to the hilt then. No more preliminaries, no easing-just pure, primitive possession. He instantly moved inand out. Strong fingers dug into her hips, moving her to meet his thrusts.

Good heavens. What was she feeling? Her body wet and willing, she fought to adjust to his penetration…it had been so long for her. Her breath catching painfully in her throat as he plundered to unexplored depths.

The orgasm had a life of its own, mercilessly, fiercely bearing down on her and ripping through her entire system. His name filled her head and then there was silence around them when she cried out and stars exploded behind her eyes.

Still, he thrust. “You okay, dearlin’?” His voice rumbled to a tone deep enough to echo along with her every nerve ending.

“Yes.” She pushed up into the hard planes of his amazing body. “Do it again.” Never did she know that such pleasure as this existed.

With King Lucien, there was no foreplay. He never loved her that way, and she was always trying to please him. Always trying to manipulate him to belong to her.

But here, there was no trying to please or manipulate, but pure, unadulterated pleasure from a man that cared for her. It was a new exhilarating experience.

“Do it again,” she whispered against his neck.

He may have chuckled, tightening his hold, somehow increasing his speed. She could do nothing but hold on for dear life, her legs wrapped around his solid hips. A painfully sharp desire washed through her again.

The wide girth of him filled her to the point of pain, his mouth hot on her neck. She had no control over the pace or her own body as the next orgasm slammed as suddenly as the first.

She bit into the hard flesh of his chest as she rode out the waves. She wouldn’t have missed this for the world.

Gedony’s teeth penetrated his flesh. When the waves stopped tearing through her, he reared up and flipped her over onto herhands and knees, pumping his hips the entire time. His thrusts increased in speed and strength, and her last image of his strong face burned into her memory-the sharp angles set into brutal lines of desire, his thick, dark hair wild around his shoulders.

She gasped as he pushed her shoulders to the bed, one hand moving up to tangle in her hair, the other clenching her hip as he rode her. Burying her face in the soft quilt, she sobbed his name. “Ge-doooo-niii!”

A stirring started deep within. It spiraled out into a sensation that stole any breath she might have kept. It strengthened to a pinpoint sharpness. She teetered on a fine edge, fighting against falling over, fighting against the unknown, when, with a fierce twist of his hips, he forced her over.

She gave a sharp, keening cry as her pleasure spiraled higher and hotter until her world exploded. She could only open her mouth in a silent scream. Intense waves of ecstasy rippled through her.

She came down with a whimper, her eyes shut tight, her body slowly relaxing. He continued to pump in and out. His roar filled her head when a nearly painful release tore through him, echoing throughout her own body, her emotional shields in tatters.

She was sated and filled with exhaustion.

Gedony Raskin watched Anarieveta sleep. Her face was so relaxed and beautiful, her eyelash shielding her brown eyes.

They had been separated so many times in the past by forces he couldn’t control.

His marriage.

Her slavery.

Her mission by the late King Cone.

Her status as the king’s mistress.

Her love for the king of Avalon.

But they are all in the past. She had been avoiding him, and he had no idea if it was because she still had strong feelings for the king, or she had no feelings for him at all anymore, or because she did not want her orderly life disrupted.

Whatever it was, he was not letting her go. Never again.

Anarieveta belonged to him first. She loved him first. She cared for him first. He was her first. In almost everything.

If she could love him before, she could love him again. He would do his best to make sure it happens. He would do his best to make her happy too. He wants her back. He wants to spend the rest of his life with her.

Gedony knew for a fact that she loved Merrily and Aiden very much, and his kids loved her back-she’s basically all they talked about for the past two years.

Oh yeah, he wanted this woman in his life again-this time, not as a slave, but as his wife.

If she would let him..

FINAL EXCERPT.

She didn’t let him.

In fact, Anarieveta began avoiding him again. This time, harder than the first time.

Two months after their night together, Gedony Raskin had had it with her. He had done everything within his power to see Anarieveta again, but she always evaded him.

He’s in the school? She’s suddenly out of the premises, according to her assistant.

He’s in her office? She’s not around.

He goes to her home? Everywhere is locked.

The next thing he heard was she had gone to the palace to spend some time with her godson, the little prince.

Their night together lives in his head always, and he hasn’t been able to forget it. And frankly, it hurt him that she moved on without him. How could she just forget that beautiful intimate moment like it never happened?

“Papa, Papa, Papa! Aiden is tickling me again!!” Merrily’s tiny voice raised to a shout all the way from the living room, dragging him out of his thoughts. From his bedroom, he shouted right back. “Aiden, stop tickling your sister!”

“She’s being a nut head, Papa. Tell her to give me my stick!” Aiden shouted right back.

“I got it first; it’s mine!” Merrily screamed through her forced laughter.

“No, you didn’t; it’s mine!”

“Yes, I did! Stop tickling me, Aiden!”

“Aiden, stop tickling your sister!” Knowing that the boy wouldn’t stop unless he came out, Gedony closed the ledger book, placed it back into the drawer, and made his way out of his bedroom to his kids.

Aiden stopped when he saw his father. Merrily ran towards him with a stick held tightly in her hand. “Papa! Aiden’s being so mean to me! I’m gonna be sick again because of him!”

“Apologize to your sister for tickling her, Aiden. You know she hates it.”

“Not until she gives me my stick!” the seven-year-old huffed stubbornly.

“It’s mine!” Merrily cried.

“Alright, that’s it, I’m taking it. Give it to me, Merrily.” As he spoke, he was already taking the stick from Merrily. She let it go for him.

“Better Papa holds it than you!” Merrily shot at her brother as she handed the stick to her father.

“Better Papa holds it than you too!” Aiden shot right back before he turned and marched out of the house.

Outside, he continued playing with his friends. They watched him from the window. Then he spared his daughter a glance. “The stick belongs to Aiden, right? Tell me the truth.”

Merrily pouted. Followed by a bob of her head.

Taking a deep breath, he began walking back to his sleeping room with his daughter hanging by his arm. “Then why drag it with him?”

“I just got out of sickness. Aiden’s ‘sposed to be very nice to me, but he isn’t. That’s why I took his stick. I wish my Miss Ana were here, Papa. I miss her so much,” the little girl revealed sadly.

Gedony almost snorted but seeing his daughter’s sadness made him curb the gesture. Anarieveta, who had been avoidinghim in her own home, would have never been found on his property.

“I’m sure your teacher misses you too, Merrily, but she had to go to the palace. I miss her too, but I can’t see her now,” he admitted begrudgingly.

Merrily wiggled down from his arms, already craving to be outside the house playing with her friends like Aiden.

“If you want to see Miss Ana, send a message bird to tell her Merrily is sick, Papa! My teacher will surely come! Miss Ana likes Merrily so much!” The little girl shouted from the door as she opened it and raced out of it.

Long after Merrily left, her innocent idea remained in her father’s mind.

Anarieveta’s escape ended abruptly when she got the message that Merrily was sick again, and the little girl had been crying to see her all day.

That night had scared her. The way it had been between them had scared her in the light of the day, and she’d freaked out and run away.

She had feelings for Gedony-strong feelings for him. And it troubled her. There was so much he did not know about her, including her wombless state. She couldn’t give him children.

He wouldn’t want her if he found out about it anyway, so it was better this way.

Back in the home King Lucien gave to her five years ago after he sent her out from the palace, she spent day after day missing Gedoni greatly. It never came to her head that she would long for him so badly that she could barely think straight without the thoughts of him feeling her head. And yet, she did.

Thankfully, spending time in the palace-playing with her godson-gave her the distraction she needed. Today, she’d spent the whole day with Prince Nikolai while King Lucien and hisqueen attended to matters in court. This evening, they’d been out on a walk when she got the message about poor little Merrily.

She’d gone to the River Sole, where she knew the couple would be, and saw them cuddling together and overlooking the river while discussing blissfully. It was so obvious, the love between those two, even after all these years. They were so inseparable and so in love with each other.

She told them about her urgent departure and hugged the heavily pregnant Queen Danika, who returned her hug. They’d bid her farewell.

Now, in her home, with her small bag packed, she got up from her bed, locked her doors, and set out for Raskin’s property.

Hours later, the sun was down. The moon rose high in the sky, glowing beautifully with the stars surrounding it. Anarieveta got down from the carriage, paid the carriage rider some coins, and watched him drive away. Then she entered the massive property of the Raskins. Staring at the elegantly decorated big home, she contemplated knocking on that huge door several feet away.

There was no turning back now. Her baby, Merrily, needed her. With that in mind, she covered the distance and knocked on the door, her heart in her throat. The door swung open.

Gedony Raskin stood tall behind the door. The sleepy look fled from his eyes as he saw Anarieveta standing uneasily behind his door.

When he sent out that crazy message about Merrily being sick and needing her, he never expected that she would come running in the dead of the night to his place. His heart filled up with joy and combusted.

“I apologize for calling in late on you at this time, but I got your message and-” She cut off suddenly as he drew her intothe house in one swift moment. The next, he had her up into his arms, and his lips covered hers.

He was kissing her hungrily, his hands everywhere. Her senses were bombarded by the feel of him, and she kissed him back. Then she tore her lips away from his and stepped back. “No, no, Gedony, this is not right!” The cry tore from her lips.

“Ana…” He reached for her again, but she stepped back, battling herself.

“I don’t like the way you make me feel! I don’t like that you make me feel this way!” Racking shaky hands through her hair, her eyes pleaded with him. “Don’t do this to me, Gedony.”

He kissed her again. This time longer and more thorough than the first time. She responded helplessly, kissing him with all the hunger he invoked in her that refused to abate.

What seemed like forever later, they pulled back, breathing hard. Foreheads pressed together, they tried to catch their breaths. Her arms were wrapped around him, and Anarieveta had no idea how her hands got there.

“Where are the kids?” she asked in a whisper.

“They’re asleep in their rooms.”

A deep breath. “Merrily wasn’t sick, right?”

“Doesn’t mean she needs you less, Ana. I know it was very manipulative of me to try and bring you here using that excuse, but I needed to see you badly. You have been avoiding me.”

“That’s because I’m afraid of this.” Her hands swept through the air helplessly. “This, between us. I have the rest of my life planned out, but here you are, trying to disrupt it and tear down everything I’ve built. You bulldoze your way into my life all of a sudden, and now, I can’t stop thinking about you.” Tears filled her eyes. “I’ve fallen in love with you. Again. This is not something I want, Gedony.”

“Why? Why don’t you want to be with me?” He palmed her shoulders and shook them. “I love you too, Ana. I never loved loving you.”

“I stopped loving you and fell in love with another. It was a disaster. I made so many mistakes then, and I fell into this dark pit because of it. I don’t want that to happen ever again.” She swiped the tears from her eyes. “Don’t say you love me, Gedony. You don’t know what I’m capable of. You don’t know my past.”

“Whatever it is you have done are all in your past-all in the past, Ana. I don’t care about your past, no matter how shady you think it is. Because no matter how bad your past is, itis in the past. Here is the present. All I want-all I plead for-is a future with you.” Taking her hands into his, he squeezed softly. “Please, Ana.”

“Oh, Gedony.” She was torn. Anarieveta wants to spend her life with him so badly, the need made her body shake.

“I need you. My children need you too.”

“I can’t give you more children,” she confessed softly. Tearfully. “I had multiple miscarriages, and my womb is damaged severely. It had to be flushed out of me, or I would have died. I can’t give you more children, Gedony. Is this the kind of woman you want to spend the rest of your life with?”

He shook his head adamantly. “I don’t want more children, Ana. You don’t have to worry about me. I don’t want more.”

“R-really?” She sniffed. “What happened?”

“After Yeaha died, I mourned her greatly. Ours was an arranged marriage, but her death still hurt. Six years after her death, I met Karadona, the youngest daughter of the Reeze family. We favored each other, so she became my mistress. I wasn’t ready to marry again then. She birthed Aiden and Merrily.” Pain flashed in his eyes. “She died while birthing Merrily. I was right there, but I could do nothing as life slipped from her. She was in so much pain. She lost too much blood.”

Her heart reached out for him. “I’m so sorry.”

He blinked hard, warding off the age-old pain. “Me too. So I don’t want to go through that again. Watching a woman I care for go through that again? Knowing that there’s a big possibility that she’ll die? I can’t bear it twice. My children are my world, Anarieveta. I can’t have it any other way. But I don’t want more, so you needn’t doubt my love for you because you can’t give me more children. Give my kids and me a chance to be in your life, Ana.”

Before she could respond, a sleepy Merrily came out of her bedroom in her nightclothes, rubbing her eyes. “Papa? Who is that?” But as she asked, she saw clearly who it was. Her eyes widened. “Miss Ana!” She flew across the bedroom towards her.

Anarieveta bent and lifted the girl into her arms, hugging her tightly. She allowed her love for this girl to wash over her as she held her. “Yes, it’s me, Merrily.”

“Oh, Miss Ana, don’t leave again. I missed you so much!” Her tiny voice wobbled.

Vetta’s heart swelled with love. So what if she couldn’t have her own children? She had two children who she loves with all her heart right here. Two children who love and need her just as much as she did them.

The emptiness in her stomach where her womb was supposed to be would always be a reminder of the bitter woman she was before.

A woman she would never ever be again.

“Merrily, honey?”

“Yes, Miss Ana?” She breathed against her neck.

“Would you like me to marry your father and be your mother?” Her teary eyes held Gedony’s as she asked in a gentle voice.

“Yes! Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes!” Merrily was bobbing her head vigorously to emphasize her answer, her hair flying around. Thegirl sounded like she was crying and she let out her heart. “Yes, please! Please, be my mama, miss Ana! I promise to be a good girl. I promise to do all you say! Please, don’t ever leave me.”

Anarieveta began weeping then. “I will always be here for you, my baby. Oh, my baby.”

She’s mine.

Gedony’s happiness knew no bounds. He wasted no opportunity getting on his knees and asking her to marry him anyway to make sure he got his proper answer.

“Yes, I will marry you,” she answered then, a teary but radiant smile on her face.

Then he hugged her and his daughter. This life couldn’t get any better.

They got married three weeks later. It was a big ceremony attended by many.

King Lucien and his family were present. Queen Danika was her maid of honor, a position she held with pride and happiness. Especially seeing the huge happiness on her Anarieveta’s face.

Declan’s family was present too. Kamara and Anarieveta made peace over the years. Kamara hasn’t stopped thanking her for saving Declan’s life, even after all these years. Baski’s family was present. Corna’s family. Sally and her family.

Anarieveta’s students and their parents were present. So many privileged families, even royal families from other kingdoms that were friends with the Raskin family showed up.

There were so many people, and even though Anarieveta had wanted a simple wedding with few people, she couldn’t be happier seeing all that crowd. It made her teary, too, seeing that she had all these people.

It was the happiest day of her life.

And as she kissed her husband after exchanging her vows, she believed strongly that the rest of her life with her new family would be just as happy and as beautiful.

And indeed, her belief turned out to be true.

THE END.
