Alicia looked up and said, “No, you guys have fun.”
Gerry placed his hand over her phone. “You’re here now. Forget about studying. It’s not often you come to a bar. Let me show you a game.”
He then tugged her wrist toward Caden.
Alicia tensed up, unsure how to decline Gerry’s insistence.
Caden glanced at their joined hands, his expression still neutral, his face revealing no emotion.
Neither of them made eye contact.
The tension was palpable.
Gerry kept talking non-stop, and Alicia barely caught any of the rules he was explaining.
“Understand?” Gerry asked enthusiastically. “Use this strategy to beat Caden. Keep his glass full.”
Alicia forced a smile, though she was uninterested. “I’ll pass. I’m not really into it.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll show you some tricks to win,” Gerry persisted. Alicia found herself momentarily at a loss for words. Could he be any more noisy?
Thankfully, Monica returned soon, much to Alicia’s relief.
She quietly asked for her help. “Monica, I want to leave.”
Monica, slightly drunk and cheerful, asked loudly, “You want to leave?” Alicia winced. Monica was so loud!
Of course, Monica’s question caught Gerry’s attention.
“Why so soon? Caden just arrived.”
That was exactly why Alicia wanted to leave.
However, she kept her thoughts to herself, not wanting to worsen the situation with Caden. By now, she had given up on arguing with him.
Monica didn’t want her to go. Despite the alcohol slowing her responses, she was strong and held onto Alicia tightly.
Seeing Monica like this, Alicia felt obligated to stay and watch over her.
The bar was full of bold, attractive women, and soon, a few approached Gerry.
One particularly daring woman sat right next to Caden and asked if she could join him for a drink.
Caden didn’t push her away. He casually lowered his glass to meet hers.
Seizing the moment, the woman leaned in closer, almost pressing her curvy body against his, and tried to start a conversation.
“Hey, do you have a girlfriend?”
Caden didn’t push her away or invite her closer. He simply replied, “Do you really want to know? You’re already in my arms, aren’t you?”
The woman chuckled.
It wasn’t just his handsome appearance that made him attractive; it was his charismatic aura, tinged with a hint of danger, that truly captivated her. The woman moved even closer to Caden, almost pressing herself against him, and took his drink. “Let me try this,” she said, her voice low.
After leaving a suggestive mark of lipstick on the rim, she returned the glass to him.
“It’s not that great,” she remarked boldly. “I’d rather taste the drink from your lips.”
Alicia kept her gaze lowered, avoiding looking at them, but she couldn’t block out their voices. Was Caden quiet because he was kissing her? Were they kissing now?
The mere thought of it made Alicia’s throat tighten.
Alicia clenched her fists tightly, remaining silent.
Monica was visibly shocked by Caden’s behavior. She leaned in and whispered to Alicia, “What is Caden doing? Everything seemed fine earlier today, and now he’s with some stranger. What happened?”
In a low voice, Alicia responded, “He can do whatever he wants.”
Monica felt unsettled. “Did you two break up? Did you have a fight?”
“We were never actually together,” Alicia explained. Worried that Monica might make a scene, she gently took her hand and whispered, “Just ignore him, Monica.”
Monica noticed the loneliness in Alicia’s eyes and began to understand the situation. She couldn’t help but feel angry. Caden, quick to move on, had done so right in front of Alicia!
Given Caden’s high status and volatile temper, Monica knew she couldn’t confront him directly. Still, she felt compelled to support Alicia and help her vent her frustration.
Monica signaled for a few male escorts to come over.
Caught off guard, Alicia stared as the men approached. “Monica, what are you doing?”
“Just having a bit of fun,” Monica replied. She then announced loudly, “Mr. Ward has a beauty by his side, and I’m so envious. I want to enjoy my time with a couple of male escorts.”
The woman with Caden looked over upon hearing Monica. She had been flirting with him, thinking she might kiss him. But seeing the clear disdain in his eyes, she froze, too shocked to act. Still, she couldn’t bring herself to leave, awkwardly clinging to him.
Monica certainly caused a scene.
She chose two male escorts-one was a tall, muscular man, and the other a youthful athlete, standing at 1.8 meters. Gerry laughed. “Quite the party, picking two at once.”
Monica replied, “I don’t have that big of an appetite. One is for Alicia.”
Alicia was taken aback. She glanced upwards, bewildered. Then, she froze.
In the meantime, Caden glanced over, previously indifferent. He subtly evaluated the two male escorts before turning his attention back to Alicia. Despite her surprise, Alicia didn’t object.
The male escort was quite adept, engaging Alicia with charming conversation and offering her drinks and fruit. Alicia sat up straight, accepting what was given to her, though she struggled to get comfortable with the situation. Noticing her discomfort, the escort teased, “Is this your first visit here, Miss?”
His voice was soothing, and his pretend affection was convincing. He gazed at Alicia as if he were deeply in love with her, his stare both alluring and intense.
Alicia shook her head. “No, but this is a first for me.”
“So I’m your first,” the escort replied with a wink. “May I have the honor of your company tonight?”
Just as Alicia was about to decline, she noticed Caden watching her from a distance. He reclined casually, his expression icy and somewhat menacing.
Alicia recalled the peculiar feelings she had when getting intimate with him. It seemed he was the only one who affected her that way. Was it because he was her only experience? What if she were with someone else? Would she feel equally adrift if she were intimate with another?
Alicia had never considered this before. Considering Caden saw her merely as a casual fling and flirted openly with others, why should she remain loyal?
So, she didn’t dismiss the escort’s offer. Instead, she responded, “Sure. I’m eager to see what you can do.” Caden caught her acceptance.
He scoffed, unimpressed, his face hardening even more.
Gerry, looking to add some spice to the evening, said to the escort, “If you’re taking her out, remember the expenses. Charge them to my account and sort it out with your boss later.”
The escort grinned. “No worries. For such lovely company tonight, I’ll ask for nothing.”
Alicia managed a weak smile. The mood had been light and playful, but Caden’s comment soon broke the spell. He remarked cynically, “Nothing free is ever good.”
The smile on the male escort’s face faltered, tension filling the air. Gerry clicked his tongue and asked, “Are you drunk? Why target a young man without reason?”
Caden remained impassive. “No. I’m simply stating facts.”
Gerry responded, “Keep drinking. Alicia is showing interest in someone. Don’t spoil it.”
It seemed Caden’s remark had pricked the male escort’s pride, making him more determined to impress Alicia. Though Alicia hadn’t been drinking, the alcohol on the escort’s breath made her head spin.
He guided her hand to his abs, which were slightly damp from the liquor. “Feel it,” he encouraged softly. “Do you like it?”
Alicia glanced down, her fingers trailing slowly along his body, finally resting on the belt of his pants. She touched it lightly, her fingers lingering near a more intimate spot.
The male escort, who had been flirtatious and confident, found himself suddenly overwhelmed by her touch. His composure started to slip, and despite the crowd around them, he couldn’t help but show his arousal.
Alicia, now quite experienced, remained calm and composed. She blinked at the sight before her.
The male escort, unable to contain himself, blushed and leaned in. “Miss, would you like to inspect it first?” he asked, grabbing her hand and guiding it to his crotch. Alicia gently pulled her hand back, smiling coolly. “I’ve already seen what I needed to. Very impressive,” she replied.
The male escort licked his lips and sat down, gesturing for Alicia to touch his abs while trying to maintain his composure.
Caden observed from a distance, his expression cold and unreadable. As a man, he recognized the tricks the escort was trying, and it irritated him further.
The male escort was growing increasingly impatient. After all, resisting Alicia’s charm was no easy feat. She only had to be present; her beauty was enough to stir desire in any man.
Caden, his anger rising, slammed his glass down onto the table.
Gerry, startled by the sudden move, asked, “Caden, what’s wrong?”
Caden kept his gaze fixed on Alicia, his voice cold as he replied, “Pour me a drink.”
His tone was sharp, catching Gerry off guard. Why was Caden so intimidating? Was he about to do something rash?
Caden appeared enraged, but he didn’t say more. Gerry quickly poured him a drink.
Meanwhile, Alicia and the male escort continued undisturbed. She casually enjoyed the fruit he offered her, her demeanor calm despite the tension in the air.
Soon after, Monica reached her limit. She was drunk and wanted to leave. The young man accompanying her eagerly suggested he could drive her home.
Alicia, knowing that Monica often boasted but was shy in reality, politely declined the offer.
As they left the bar, the Flynn family’s driver pulled up. He took Monica from Alicia and expressed his gratitude to her. Alicia offered a polite smile in return.
Monica rested her head against the car window, gazing at the male escort with a look of regret. Her thoughts seemed unclear. “Alicia, I’ve already paid. You should have some fun with him too,” she said.
