“Yes. As far as I know, my mom won’t do that.” Ryan cupped her face, and a nervous look washed over his handsome face. “Having said that, my mom is quite articulate. I’m worried that she talked you into leaving me. I wanted to come over early in the morning, but I was tied up with work.”

“I’m not going back. Something is wrong with you.” Ryan stared intently at her.
