She looked right at Alpha Corey and winked right at him, Ky’ra was chortling and rolling around in her mind, fully amused at the annoyance, they could feel coming off of, their so called Mate. She was much more amused, than cranky these days, clearly enjoyed taunting this man. As much as Ella did, she could get used to a playful and loving Ky’ra, instead of miss grumpy pants.
‘you might just have to.’ she chortled
‘then I will.’ Ella giggled at her.
‘teasing our mate is fun.’
“Now Alpha Corey. As a punishment, I think this is too harsh, I’d rather spend a month in the cells. Is that a better option for you?”
Another growl came from him, though this one a little on the angry side, it seemed.
“Ella I have never put you in the cells, now have I?”
“No.” she shook her head “But mating me off, as a punishment for one, minor indiscretion, I believe is to harsh.” trying not to laugh was getting very hard. She bit her lips together, but couldn’t keep the amusement from her eyes, and he noted it.
Clearing his voice and trying not to be as amused himself, by her behaviour as she was “Right, how about we start this again…” he looked to her Mate, “Alpha Holdener, perhaps a proper introduction, would help this go smoother.”
She heard him take in a deep breath and walk over to her, she turned her attention to her right hand as to inspect her manicure. Ignored him. Felt a wave of annoyance roll off of him, nearly laughed out loud. The more amused she was getting, the more annoyed he got. She heard his Beta snort a laugh out and desperately tried to reign it in, it nearly broke her own resolve. Had to bite down on her lips again and not look at the annoyed man, standing next to her. Or she knew she was going to fall off her chair and roll around laughing. Apparently still got the Alpha’s Gin, in her system.
“Ella I believe…I am Alpha Holdener Frost, of Blue Moon Rising Pack and yes I am your Mate.”
She stared at her hand for a good 15 seconds more to calm herself then trying to avoid him. Turned her eyes on him, stood up from her chair and allowed her eyes to slide over him, nice and slow, saw the smirk on his face, Oh yes he knew he was a very impressive man to look at. She took a step around him and walked around him to inspect him fully, saw him blink, shocked at her behaviour “Hmm.” she shrugged “not bad I guess.” she looked to his Beta, she could hear him desperately trying to cover his laughing with his hand and winked right at him, he nearly doubled over. She then strolled back to her chair and sat back down.
“He does smell like the man, I scented Alpha Corey.” she acknowledged ‘but that man doesn’t like me. His reaction to me was clear. I think you forcing me, to mate him is too harsh a punishment.”
“Are you always this infuriating?” Alpha Holdener snapped at her, oh she’d pushed his button good, with that one.
She moved her eyes to his blue ones “Yes.” she informed him, all amusement gone now “Always…especially to those, who treat us with disrespect.”
She saw him frown instantly and knew he understood, exactly what she was talking about. Just sat there and stared right at him. When he didn’t offer up an apology, she sighed and shook her head, turned to Alpha Corey “I will not accept a mating alliance, to any man, that can’t apologise for something he did wrong.”
She stood and turned to leave the office, only to have a hand land on her arm. Halting her in her tracks “I am armed, Alpha Holdener.” her eyes moved to his hand on her arm, and then to his eyes pointedly “Always am…unless you want a hole in that hand, I would remove it.”
He was frowning at her, he had no idea if she was telling the truth, or if she would follow through with her threat either, because he, knew nothing about her. She would. Loosed the blade up her sleeve and dropped it into her free hand.
“I’m sorry.” he said “I was annoyed at…your skills which took me by complete surprise. I do not think you are a mutt, and I assure you, that word, will never be uttered from these lips again.”
Ella stubbornly refused to move her eyes to his lips, knew it was what he wanted, he’d chosen his words with purpose, she’d heard the slight smile in his voice at the end, he really did think his smile was that good, that she would look at it and melt, cocky bastard.
His eyes were locked on hers, they were a very deep blue indeed and currently held a smile in them, but she would wipe that smile off his face. Tapped his hand on her arm with the blade, she was now holding in her other hand, saw his smile vanish and it was gone from his eyes too. His hand let go of her, more out of shock, she believed than fear. His eyes hadn’t moved from hers, but surprise at her action was in them now.
“Ella White, Retrieval Special Unit. Specialist in Bladed Weapons and Compound Bow use.” she formally introduced herself. “Alpha Corey may I go now?”
“Ella! we have to sort your Mate Bond out.”
“Do we?” she glance at him “I thought I’d already, become his forced Mate. Isn’t that my punishment.”
“For Goddess sake Ella.” Alpha Holdener snapped at her again “What do you want from me, I have already apologised.”
“Hmm, you did…because you had to, not because you wanted to…and if you wanted me as your Mate, you would have come to me yourself and spoke to me. I don’t have to accept you…You are aware of that right?”
“I will not be accepting your rejection, even if you chose to voice it.” he was smiling right at her now “you are my Mate. I and my wolf will be claiming you. You belong to us, the goddess gifted you to us.”
Ah and there it was, his card to play. Ella smiled right up at him, to bloody tall, she thought for a minute. Flicked her plait over her shoulder and to her back, allowed her fingers to trail right across the scar of her previous marking, his eyes were draw to the movement as she knew they would be, no wolf can resist looking at the spot there mark would go. She registered the shock in his expression, seeing the scars of a bite already made on her.
“She gifted me to another first. He was a gentleman, sweet and kind, never said a harsh word to me. I can’t say the same for you now, can I!” and with that she strolled out of the office, slipping her blade back into his sheath on the under side of her arm and headed back to her house.

Ella POV
Ella was summoned, back to Alpha Corey’s office just after lunch, once again she sat herself in front of his desk. Alpha Holdener was sitting in the chair next to her. The man just wouldn’t give up, it seemed.
Luna Lindy was standing next to Alpha Corey, she’d already heard about Ella’s antics, this morning, had actually chuckled down the mind-link at her, called her a cheeky devil, but had then told her it, was not over yet.
“Ella, shall we try this again?” Alpha Corey sighed at her.
