Chapter 630 – I Got Married Without You Novel

Posted on November 11, 2025 by thisisterrisun

Filed to story: I Got Married Without You

Just thinking about such a scene made her feel terrified, so how could she dare to choose him?

She believed that even if Jayden cheated on her, it wouldn’t cost her half of her life, but Paul would.

So, in order to protect herself, she would remain selfish to the end…

She lifted her hand and gently patted Paul’s back, just like when he sought comfort, she patiently comforted him. “Paul, you must live a good life…”

Even if he hugged her with all his strength, Paul felt her getting farther and farther away from him.

He was a bit scared, so he tightened his arms and held Eva tightly in his embrace.

“Eva, I will hate you…”

He wasn’t inherently bad, even if he hated her, how far could his hatred go?

Eva ran her fingers through the thick hair on the back of his head.

“Paul, we can’t go back anymore…”

He thought that by holding her tightly, she wouldn’t leave, but in the end, she still wanted to go.

Paul slowly released Eva, weariness evident in his eyes after losing the love he couldn’t have. “Have you made up your mind?”

Eva, standing up straight, stood in front of the hospital bed and stared at him for a while before nodding gently.

She was always resolute, once she made a decision, it was difficult for her to change it. Paul knew her personality well.

But looking at Eva’s determined expression, Paul’s exhausted eyes gradually turned red…

“Then go.”

He collapsed onto the hospital bed, turned his head, and looked out the window.

Staring at his pale yet still handsome profile, Eva mentally put an end to their intense and tumultuous five-year relationship.

“Paul, goodbye.”

After the sound of footsteps faded away, Paul turned his bloodshot eyes and looked at the receding figure that didn’t even glance back, suddenly clenching his fists.

“Eva, if you walk out that door today, we will never have a chance again!”

This was his last opportunity, once missed, it would be gone.

Eva’s steps paused for a very long time, but in the end, she picked up her pace and ran out of the ward.

“Eva!”

Watching her retreating figure, Paul forced himself up, wanting to chase after her, but the pain in his spine prevented him from moving.

“Eva…”

He collapsed onto the hospital bed, despairingly calling out her name, but that figure did not stop its footsteps despite his heart-wrenching cries. Tears welled up in his eyes, embarrassingly rolling down and landing on the back of his hand. Paul pulled up the blanket and covered his face.

Andrew and Rosalyn outside the door witnessed it all.

After exchanging a glance, Rosalyn tiptoed and whispered in his ear.

“Honey, I’ll go and check on Eva. You can go in later and comfort Paul.”

Paul seemed to be crying, it’s better for Rosalyn not to go at a time like this, so let Andrew handle it.

Andrew raised an eyebrow, “I’ve never comforted anyone before.”

Rosalyn glared at him, “I believe in you.”

After saying that, she turned around, taking Peter with her to catch up with Eva.

When Eva ran out of the ward just now, she looked lost and confused. I wonder how she is now.

After Rosalyn walked away, Andrew crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, waiting for the people inside to calm down before stepping in.

As the tall and handsome man entered, he pulled out a chair in front of the hospital bed, crossed his long legs, and assumed a posture of scrutinizing a criminal. “Besides losing in a childhood toy snatch, I’ve never seen you cry.”

From childhood to adulthood, Paul was always popular and a little bit of a bully. No one dared to make him cry. This was probably the first time, and Eva was quite formidable. Paul lifted his bloodshot eyes, glanced at Andrew, and usually he would have retorted stubbornly, but this time he chose to remain silent.

Andrew, feeling a bit uncomfortable, lightly parted his thin lips and spoke softly, thinking of his wife’s words.

“Paul, what difference does it make if you let them date for a while?”

If the person in front of him wasn’t his own brother, Paul would have burst out swearing long ago.

“Andrew, you’re not good at comforting people. Just sit quietly with me for a while.”

Andrew lowered his gaze and thought for a moment, seemingly unable to find any comforting words, so he remained silent.

After a while, the man couldn’t help but speak again:

“Once they’ve dated for a while and realize they’re not compatible, they’ll naturally break up.”

“Then you can go back to Eva after they break up. It’ll be more effective than persistently pursuing her now.”

“Andrew, please, stop talking…”

What Andrew said was indeed not very pleasant, but it was the truth.

After understanding the whole story, he felt that sooner or later, Jayden would make a mistake that Eva couldn’t forgive.

After all, one’s character is deeply rooted and can’t be easily changed. Paul didn’t need to rush things.

Andrew glanced at the candy on the bedside cabinet, picked one out, and placed it in Paul’s palm.

“Sometimes, the more you try to hold onto something, the more you lose it. It’s better to let go, and she’ll come back on her own.”

Paul lowered his gaze, looking at the orange candy in his hand, a bitter smile forming at the corner of his lips…

“Andrew, ever since we broke up, I’ve always been the one trying to reconcile, but I’ve never succeeded. What does that mean?”

Paul clenched the candy in his hand, his expression gradually calming down.
