Chapter 628 – I Got Married Without You Novel

Posted on November 11, 2025 by thisisterrisun

Filed to story: I Got Married Without You

But as her sister, Rosalyn still hopes that Eva can be happier.

Just like her, even though it was painful in the beginning, she chose to be with the person she loves, and their married life is happy.

At least, she is happy now. She will leave the future to bear whatever changes may come.

That’s how Rosalyn thinks, but Eva doesn’t. After all, she has already experienced this kind of pain once.

“I know you’re worried about me, but don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”

Rosalyn wanted to persuade her again, but Eva didn’t want to talk about it anymore.

“You’re so busy yourself, don’t worry about me. Go prepare for your international court case.”

Eva knew about Rosalyn being sued by Jocelyn and having to go to the international court.

She herself was extremely busy, and it was too burdensome for her to care about her emotional issues.

With a few words, Eva dismissed Rosalyn and made up an excuse to end the call.

Rosalyn stared at the dark screen, feeling a bit down, and let out a heavy sigh.

Andrew, sitting on the couch and looking at financial data, waved to her when he heard her.

“Come here.”

Rosalyn put down her phone, got up from her seat, and walked over to Andrew.

Once in front of him, the man extended his fair hand and pulled her waist, letting her sit on his lap.

“Did Eva choose to forgive Jayden?”

Rosalyn hooked her arms around his neck and rested her head against his forehead.

“Babe, how did you know?”

After speaking, Rosalyn loosened her grip on his neck and pinched his well-defined handsome face.

“Look at how foolish I am. You’re sitting across from me, so you must have heard.”

Andrew’ face was sculpted with such precision, every inch perfect.

Being pinched by Rosalyn was like adding a few drops of color to a three-dimensional sculpture, making his cold and handsome face come alive.

Andrew’ face and hair were off-limits to everyone, except for Rosalyn, who would often pinch his face and mess with his hair.

She didn’t have the courage to do this before, but after getting married, he gave her a sense of security, which made her dare to touch him.

Andrew, who was enjoying it, took hold of her hand as she continued to massage him, and looked up at Rosalyn with clear eyes and a happy smile on his face.

“Even if I hadn’t heard, I still would have guessed.”

After rubbing her nose, Andrew lifted her up in his arms.

Suddenly airborne, Rosalyn had to lift her legs and straddle his waist.

“Where are you taking me?”

“To see my unlucky little brother and see if he’s been crying.”

While waiting at a red light, Eva saw a shop on the street and remembered Paul saying that he loved orange-flavored gummy candies.

At that time, Eva was nestled in his arms, asking him why he liked these kinds of things that little girls loved to eat.

He said that on the night she accidentally broke his bones, he relied on these gummy candies to endure the pain, and every time he ate them, he would think of her.

Eva stared at the shop, hesitated for a few seconds, parked the car, and went inside. It took her a while to find the orange-flavored gummy candies.

She bought a lot of gummy candies and carried them to the hospital, taking a familiar route to Paul’s room…

There were many people inside, mostly Paul’s friends, who were making a lot of noise and trying to make Paul laugh.

The person in the hospital bed, however, didn’t have much of a reaction, only showing a change in expression when he saw her through the crowd.

Anthony saw her coming and quickly made an excuse to take his friends and leave.

Once they left, only Eva and Paul remained in the hospital room.

Paul didn’t want to pay attention to her and simply closed his eyes.

After giving him a glance, Eva walked over and sat down in the seat where Anthony had just been sitting.

“Paul, I know you don’t want to see me again, but please rest assured, I won’t come again after this.” Paul’s hand, which was placed under the blanket, tightened slightly, but then seemed to relax quickly. “What do you want from me?”

Seeing him speak calmly, a trace of apology appeared in Eva’s eyes.

“I already know about the misunderstanding with Jayden, I’m sorry for letting you be misunderstood.”

This belated apology from Eva made Paul’s nose tingle with sourness.

Despite feeling extremely aggrieved, he forced himself to act as if nothing was wrong.

He had been going through these past two days like this, no one knew how much he was suffering.

But when Eva said, “let you be misunderstood,” a lot of his sadness dissipated.

“Do you now know what kind of person Jayden is?”

He glared at Eva, his grievances reflected in his reproachful gaze.

Eva nodded lightly, not saying anything more, and simply handed the candy in her hand to Paul.

“Your spine is injured, it must be more painful than when it was fractured. I bought a lot of orange-flavored candy for you. Eat one when it hurts.”

Looking at several bags of candy, Paul’s already sour nose became even more bitter.

They had been apart for almost two years, and Eva had never cared for or comforted him.

He almost thought that she had forgotten that he liked this flavor of candy, but she remembered.
