He still kept his arm wrapped tightly around her.

With obvious reluctance, Gavin loosened his arms around her. “I’ll come pick you up after work.”
“Pick me up? Where to?” Britney asked.
Gavin replied, “I’m taking you home to meet my parents.”
Britney’s eyes widened. “So soon?”
Gavin nodded firmly. “I’m serious about you, Britney. I want to date with marriage in mind. Now that our relationship is confirmed, I certainly want to take you to meet my family.”
Britney was silent for a few seconds before she finally nodded. “Alright.”
She had already met his family.
“See you tonight,” Gavin said, bending down to kiss her on the forehead.
“Okay,” Britney replied with a smile, before she picked up her bag and left.
In the evening.
In the Yates Manor.
The whole Yates family was there.
Gavin walked in, holding Britney’s hand, “Mom, Dad, this is my girlfriend, Britney,” he said.
Jacqueline couldn’t stop smiling as she greeted Britney warmly. “From the very first time you came here, I felt so close to you.”
Levi looked very satisfied. “Let’s arrange for our families to meet as soon as possible.”
Britney’s face fell a little. “Mr. Yates, Mrs. Yates, my parents passed away a few months ago. I’m all alone now.”
Everyone looked at her in shock.
Gavin held her even closer.
Cameron grinned and said, “Britney, from now on, we’re all your family.”
Amelia chimed in, “That’s right. We’re about to be one big family.”
Lance and Bradley also warmly welcomed Britney into the family.

Jacqueline had prepared a guest room for her.

“Stay with me tonight, okay?” Gavin asked softly, wrapping his arm around her.
Britney blushed. “Isn’t that a bit too soon?”
Gavin chuckled, “Didn’t we already sleep together last night?”
Britney hesitated. “Is that the same thing?”
Gavin nodded. “No, it’s not. Last night, we just cuddled. But tonight it might not stop there.”
