Eric said, “Cam, I really am sorry for what happened back then. I got you a little something to show how sorry I am”
Cameron shook her head. “Eric, it’s all in the past now. Let’s just leave it there.”
Bradley idly twirled Cameron’s fingers. “Come on, E what’s this little present?”
Eric said, “You can guess.”
Bradley fell silent.
Eric stood up. “Come on, Cam, let’s go to my workshop.
Bive you
Cameron was about to decline, but Bradley said, “Go the gift there.” on, C
If you don’t take it, Eric’s gonna feel guilty.”
Eric nodded. “Yeah, Cam, do it for me, okay? Just take my little gift so I can have a clear conscience.”
Cameron sighed, “Fine, I’ll take it.”
Cameron stood up and followed Eric, who turned back and said, “Brad, don’t follow us.”
Bradley said speechlessly, “Fine.”
Cameron chuckled, “So mysterious, huh?”
Eric said, “He doesn’t get to see it. He messed up too
– he was sharing a room with you every day and still had no clue you were a girl.” not actually sleeping together.”
Cameron corrected him, “Eric, we were just roommates, sharing a dorm room
Eric laughed, “Haha, a small mistake.”
Behind the Saunders family’s main house stood an entire building that belonged to Eric.
Inside, the place was packed with his creations and designs.
Eric led Cameron straight up to the second floor.
The second floor was the clothing section.
It was filled with a dazzling array of designer outfits, many of them award-winning pieces designed by Eric himself.
Cameron couldn’t take her eyes off them, completely dazzled by the display.
She had to admit, Eric really had some serious skills when it came to fashion.
Eric walked over to a mannequin and looked approvingly at the dress it was wearing.
“Cam, come here,” Eric called out.
Cameron finally looked away and walked over to Eric, instantly drawn to the dress on the mannequin.
It was a long, dark red gown with a sweetheart neckline. The style was simple and elegant, with a precious gemstone set at the waist for a touch of luxury.
Eric smiled, “Cam, what do you think? I designed this dress just for you. It’s one of a kind.”
Cameron nodded. “I like it.”
She wasn’t into overly complicated designs, and this simple yet elegant style was perfect for her.
“Eric, is this the little gift you wanted to give me?” Cameron asked, running her hand over the sleeve. It was incredibly soft.
Eric nodded. “Yeah, go try it on.”
Cameron said, “Won’t I freeze if I wear this now?”
It’s been freezing these days.
Eric laughed, “Cam, I made some special upgrades to this dress. There’s a layer of high-tech heating cotton inside. Not only will you look stunning, but you’ll stay warm too it’ll keep you just as cozy as a puffer jacket.”/
–
“Really?” Cameron blinked in surprise.
Eric took the dress off the mannequin. “Go try it on. Let me see if it fits. If it doesn’t, I’ll tweak it for you.”
Cameron smiled, “Well, Eric, I won’t say no to that.”
“Go ahead,” Eric said, pointing toward the fitting room.
Cameron headed to the fitting room, took off her puffer jacket, and slipped into the dress.
The moment she put the dress on, warmth wrapped around her just like Eric promised.
She checked herself out in the mirror the fit was perfect, hugging her curves in all the right places.
–
When Cameron stepped out, Eric’s eyes instantly lit up.
Cameron really had an amazing figure-graceful curves in all the right places.
Back when she was pretending to be a boy, he’d never have known.
Cameron smiled, “Eric, it fits like a glove. How did you know my size?”
Eric nodded. “I’ve been doing this for ages. I just need one look to get a pretty good idea.
Cameron laughed, “That’s amazing.”
With that, she headed back to the fitting room to change out of the dress.
But Eric called out to her, “Cam, hang on a sec. I’ve got one more gift for you.”
“Another gift?” Cameron blinked in surprise.
Eric walked over to the jewelry display, grabbed a black velvet box, and came back to Cameron. He popped it open and took out a sparkling diamond necklace.
“Cam, I designed this necklace just for you. The pendant has the letters BC -your and Brad’s initials. Let me put it on for you,” he said
Cameron didn’t even know what to say for a moment.
Eric helped her put on the necklace, and it settled perfectly on her collarbone. The diamonds’ shine made her skin look even fairer, almost glowing
Eric blurted out, “You’re so beautiful.”
Cameron fingered the necklace. “Eric, I thought you said it was just a little gift? This is way too much.”
Eric ran a hand through his short, silver hair. “Cam, do you really think one little gift is enough to show how sorry I am?”
Cameron couldn’t help but smile, “Eric, seriously, I’m really over it.”
It’s all the past.
Eric led her over to the vanity and had her sit down, grinning at her in the mirror. “Cam, have you ever seen what a top-tier makeup artist can really do?”
“Hm?” Cameron blinked, puzzled.
Eric gently lifted her chin with his fingers. “Today, let me show you what I’m capable of.”
Cameron sat in front of the vanity for a full two hours.
Eric’s makeup skills were top-notch.
He didn’t go for a heavy, dramatic look – instead, he played up her strengths and downplayed any flaws.
Her features were already perfect.
But with Eric’s touch, he accentuated the best parts of her face, making her look like the Creator’s proudest masterpiece-so flawless and stunning, people couldn’t take their eyes off her.
Eric smiled at Cameron in the mirror, “Yeah, I’m satisfied. What about you?”
Cameron studied her reflection. It didn’t look like much had changed, but her beauty level just got a serious upgrade.
She said with a smile, “I’m happy too. Eric, has anyone ever told you how good you look when you’re working so seriously?”
