Bradley’s lips curled into a smile. “Nothing would make me happier?

It wasn’t like last time he’d just gone to the Yates family’s place to take shatter from the rain.

This time, he was visiting them as Cameron’s boyfriend, so he had to be well prepared,

From now on, Cameron’s family was his family too.

Cameron replied to Jacqueline: [Okay, mom.]

After breakfast, Bradley drove Cameron to the office of Aurevia Biotech.

“Cam, I’ll pick you up this afternoon,” Bradley said,

Cameron nodded. “Okay.”

She got out of the car and waved goodbye to him, who watched as she disappeared into the lobby,

Their relationship wasn’t passionate or intense, but cozy and peaceful, as if they’d already been together for years.

Bradley loved that simple, genuine feeling. He truly felt that Cameron had belonged to him, filling up the emptiness in his heart, a void that had lasted seven whole years.

His mouth tilted upwards slightly at the corners as Bradley watched until Cameron’s figure disappeared from sight before looking away.

Just as Bradley was about to drive off, he got a call from Eddie.

“Hey, Eddie,” Bradley greeted first.

“Brad, you free at noon? I wanna invite you and Cam out for lunch,” Eddie said, his voice steady as ever.

Now that Bradley and Cameron were finally together, Eddie finally felt like he could face Cameron again.

“I’m free, but I’ll have to check with Cam,” Bradley said.

Bradley wasn’t planning on going to the law firm today, because he had to select some gifts for the Yates family before visiting them tonight.

With Eddie coming over, Bradley’d have someone to help him choose-two heads were better than one, after all.

“Alright, if she’s busy and wanna take a rain check, it’s fine,” Eddie said.

“Okay,” Bradley replied.

After hanging up with Eddie, Bradley immediately called Cameron, who had just settled into her office chair.

“Hello, Brad,” Cameron said as she picked up her phone.

Bradley got straight to the point. “Cam, my fourth brother wanna have lunch with us. Are you free around noon?”

“Fourth brother?” Cameron repeated, a bit surprised.

‘Is it Eddie?’ Cameron wondered to herself. It had been a long time since she’d heard that name.

“Yeah, my fourth brother,” Bradley replied.

“Sure, I’ve got a lunch break. You can fix it with him,” Cameron said.

“Alright, I’ll pick you up at noon,” smiled Bradley, who thought he wouldn’t get to see Cameron again until after work. But now, just three more hours and they’d be together again.

Cameron replied, a smile in her voice, “Alright, see you at noon.”

At exactly noon, Bradley’s black Mercedes pulled up outside the building of Aurevia Biotech.

Eddie had already taken the back seat tactfully.

The trunk was filled with gifts Bradley had picked out that morning at the mall for the Yates family.

At 12:05 pm, Cameron stepped out in her high heels.

Through the car window, Eddie caught sight of Cameron in her dress and thought to himself, ‘Cameron really is beautiful.”

When dressed as a man, she looked handsome; but now, back to her old self, she was still just as stunning.

Bradley spotted Cameron too and rolled down the window on the passenger side, a smile tugging at his lips. “Cam.”

Cameron gave him a wave and hurried over, opened the front passenger door, got in, and buckled up.

“Hello, Cameron,” Eddie called out in greeting.

“Eddie…” Cameron looked back at him, a flicker of hesitation in her eyes. ‘Wait, is the guy in the back really Eddie?’ Cameron wondered.

The man in the back seat was wearing a black shirt, buttoned all the way up. His handsome face was expressionless, and the messy, colorful hair he used to have was now cut short, back to its natural color, making him steady and mature.

‘Is this really the same Eddie who used to show off as a playboy?’ Cameron thought, a little stunned. But she soon turned away from him.

“So, Cam, what would you like to eat?” Bradley asked as he drove.

Cameron looked back at Eddie again. “Eddie, what do you feel like eating?”

“I’m not bothered,” Eddie replied.

Bradley added, “He’s not picky at all.”

Cameron didn’t know what to say. In her memory, Eddie used to be such a fussy eater. She never expected he’d change this much.

Bradley said, “There’s a new seafood restaurant nearby that’s been getting a lot of buzz lately. Wanna check it out?”

Cameron nodded. “Sounds good to me.”

She glanced back at Eddie. “How about you, Eddie? You up for it?”

Eddie nodded. “Sure, I’m good with that.”

Cameron smiled, “You’ve really changed a lot, Eddie.”/

There was finally a ghost of a smile on his face. “You’ve changed even more-heck, you even switched genders.”

Cameron grinned at that without saying anything more.

The seafood restaurant was definitely popular, but since they arrived early and it was a weekday, it wasn’t very crowded. After entering, they picked out a private room for themselves.

“Brad, wanna try this one?” Cameron asked.

Cameron and Bradley sat side by side, their heads almost touching as they browsed the menu together, looking very close.

“Sure,” Bradley replied, with his arm round Cameron’s shoulder.

Eddie sat across from them, a faint smile playing at his lips as he watched the two of them.

Seeing Brad so happy genuinely made Eddie feel delighted too, because it used to be a grief to Eddie too. ‘This is really great, he thought.

After Cameron and Bradley finished ordering, they handed the menu to Eddie. “Eddie, wanna order a few more dishes?”

Eddie had already ordered his dishes before, and he shook his head. “No need.”

Cameron asked, “Would you like red or white, Eddie?”

“Either’s fine,” Eddie replied.

Cameron just blinked, a little speechless.

“Let’s go with red,” Bradley said.

Since Bradley needed to drive and Cameron still had work to do in the afternoon, neither of them went for alcohol. Instead, they just ordered two soft drinks.

After placing their order for a meal, Cameron handed the menu to the server.

During the meal, Eddie let out a sigh. “Brad, Cameron, if my parents hadn’t believed Nell, you two wouldn’t have missed out on seven years together.”

Cameron paused and shook her head. “Eddie, it’s not that simple.”

Back then, she had been uncertain of her feelings, so if Bradley had tried to keep her around by force, they probably would’ve fallen out a long time ago.

And then there wouldn’t have been any future in their relationship.

The reason why Cameron could forgive Bradley was he’d never done her any real harm.

But honestly, if it weren’t for Cameron’s indulgence, that small castle of his never could’ve held her in captivity.

Eddie asked, “Why? Is there even something I don’t know?”
