Stephanie could tell that Eustace would never leave Danika.

Truth be told, she was rather envious.

Love would really push people forward.

Danika didn’t talk about her and Eustace anymore. She brought up Stephanie and Leonard.

“What about you and Leonard? Haven’t things progressed yet?”

“Things are left like this for now. He’s busy. And when he’s not, we eat together and sometimes watch movies together.”

Leonard had never actually told her that he liked her, much less confess.

Stephanie liked him somewhat, but she couldn’t be the one to say it.

“By the way, Jade and Max are going to marry. She asked me to go dress shopping with her recently,” Stephanie said.

Danika was stunned.

“Marriage? So quickly? Why didn’t I know about this?”

“You hadn’t come back yet, so she didn’t call to let you know.”

Stephanie and Jade met each other through Danika.

Logically speaking, Jade and Danika were closer to each other, and the wedding dress shopping should have been Danika’s duty.

But Danika was still overseas then, and they didn’t know when she would be back.

That was why Jade contacted Stephanie instead.

They could get along together.

Even if Danika weren’t around, they would still meet up to shop and grab a cup of coffee.

Danika pursed her lips, feeling conflicted.

“She and Max haven’t been together for very long, have they? And they’re planning to marry so soon?”

“Jade said that as long as you meet the right person, it doesn’t matter when you marry.”

Stephanie didn’t know what Jade was thinking, but the woman was pretty happy now.

Max probably treated her well.

At those words, Danika thought of what Eustace had said about marriage.

At the time, Danika had wanted to take things slow.

But now, when she heard about Max and Jade’s wedding, she wondered if she was overthinking things.

I’m Joining You For Dinner

“When are you and Eustace planning to marry?”

Stephanie directed the topic of the conversation toward Danika and Eustace.

“Oh, I mean, remarry.”

Danika had nothing to say to that.

“It’s still early.”

Danika still had yet to plan a marriage.

“I envy you so much. You are all marrying and getting together, and I’m still single,” Stephanie exclaimed sadly.

Danika didn’t pity her.

Instead, she rolled her eyes.

“There are so many people out there willing to be in a relationship with you.But do you want to?”

“I do.”

Stephanie just wanted a normal love story, unlike her incident with Paul.

“Then try it out with Leonard,”

Danika suggested.

Stephanie pursed her lips and said softly, “I’ll see.Who knows if he actually likes me? I don’t want to overdo things.”

“The choice is yours. As long as you won’t regret it.”

Stephanie may be her good friend, but she couldn’t make the decisions for her.

Things like love had to be sorted out on her own.

They talked as they shopped, and soon they bought plenty of things.

The afternoon went by rather quickly.

The sky gradually turned dark Stephanie guessed that Eustace would probably arrive soon and said, “I’m going to go home so! don’t get in your way.”

“Oh, don’t you think of pulling that trick on me.”

Danika didn’t think that Stephanie had to worry about it.

Eustace wouldn’t mind either.

Danika pulled at Stephanie, who couldn’t escape.

“I just don’t want to bother the two of you.”

“Don’t say things like that.I’ll get angry.” Danika pretended to be upset. She wasn’t the type to ditch her friends for her boyfriend.

Stephanie didn’t insist.

“Alright.I’ll join you for dinner.I promise I’ll be good.”

Eustace soon arrived. He didn’t mind that Stephanie was there. He looked at Danika and asked, “What do you want to eat?”

“I’m fine with anything. You can decide.”

Danika didn’t feel like eating anything in particular.

Eustace looked at Stephanie.

“What about you?”

“I’m fine with anything, Mr.Quincey.You two call the shots.I’m just tagging along,”

Stephanie hurriedly replied. She was still a little intimidated by him.

Eustace looked at her and said, “Since you’re Danika’s friend, you’re my friend, too.You can just call me Eustace. You can drop the formalities.”

Stephanie was shocked.

Eustace had never said anything like that to her before. It seemed that he truly had changed.

“In that case, we shall have ratatouille.”

Eustace made his decision.

Danika and Stephanie didn’t object.

They walked into the restaurant.

Danika and Eustace had come there before, so they were familiar with it.

It was Stephanie’s first time coming there because she was always busy at work. She didn’t have the time to eat at places like this.

When they sat down, Danika’s phone rang.

It was Jade. She picked up, guessing what the call would be about.

“Hey, Jade.”

“Have you had dinner yet, Danika?” Jade said.

Over the phone, Danika could hear her laughter.

“I’m in the middle of it.What about you?” Danika asked.

Jade was surprised to hear that.

“I was just about to invite you out.Who are you eating with?”
