Filed to story: The Regretful Billionaire: An Unpredicted Reunion
Eustace was born into a more affluent family than he was.
That was fine because Evan could fight for the same things later on.
But Eustace was still better at earning money.
Although Wagner Group was controlled by Paul on the surface, Evan knew that it actually still belonged to Eustace.
On top of that, Eustace had assets all over the globe.
Even if he didn’t inherit the Quinceys, he was still much richer than him.
Besides, it was still possible that the Quinceys would be given to Eustace.
Evan snorted and said indignantly, “It’s no wonder you’ve got that rich stink.”
“That’s not very nice, Mr.Clarke.You’ve earned quite a bit over the years as well.”
Eustace looked at him coldly. He knew what Evan had done overseas.
At least Eustace’s ways of earning money were honest.
Evan’s were dirty.
If it weren’t for the promise he made during Xavier’s murder to not tell Danika about what Evan had done, Eustace would have dragged out every skeleton in Evan’s closet.
Evan could feel that Eustace was threatening him, and he glared at him.
“Danika, I’m feeling unwell.Wheel me into my room.”
“Unwell? Where? Do you need a doctor to examine you?”
Danika was worried.
Evan shook his head.
“There’s no need.I’m just feeling light- headed. Some rest will suffice.”
“That’s great. You have to let me know if you’re feeling sick.”
Danika pushed him back into the villa. She had no time to entertain Eustace right now.
After all, no one had told Eustace to infuriate Evan.
Although she hadn’t understood what was said between them, she sensed Eustace’s animosity toward the man.
She knew the reason behind it.
She couldn’t blame Eustace entirely.
However, Evan was a patient.
Danika hoped that Eustace wouldn’t trouble him at the moment.
When they left, Eustace saw Evan look back to smile at him.
It was a smile full of glee.
He was taunting him.
So what if Eustace had money? So what if he had moved in next door? Danika was still by Evan’s side.
Evan’s actions were indeed infuriating.
Eustace gnashed his teeth.
He had to stop himself from rushing forward to punch him.
After sending Evan to his room, Danika went back to her bedroom.
While she lay in her bed in a daze, something knocked on her window.
She was on the second floor.
She got up apprehensively.
The next second, she saw Eustace’s smile.
As luck would have it, her bedroom faced Eustace’s study directly.
He was currently using a pole to knock on her window.
I Just Miss You
“What are you doing, Eustace?” Danika glared at him. She hadn’t expected him to move and to be so near.
Eustace smiled at her.
This villa was built in the perfect spot.
Even if Danika and Evan stayed in the same room, he would be able to see their movements. It was so convenient.
“Have you had your lunch?” Eustace asked.
Danika nodded, thinking that he simply had nothing to do.
“You look carefree.”
“Not really.I just miss you,” Eustace said those tender words with a tender look on his face.
Danika blushed, unable to describe what she was feeling.
Just before she was about to speak, Evan pushed his window open next door.He glared at Eustace coldly and said, Do you know what being a public nuisance means?”
“Was I being that loud? Were you tossing and turning in bed, perhaps?” Eustace mocked.
He hadn’t even been able to talk with Danika.
Evan didn’t plan on arguing with him.He looked at Danika.
“You can go over to his house if you’d like to say anything to him.I’d like to rest.”
“Sorry, Evan,” Danika apologized. She could tell that he was in a bad mood.
“You can go rest. I won’t bother you.”
“Great.”
Evan closed his window as if he were really going to rest.
Danika waved to Eustace.
But then, he called her phone, and she picked up in bewilderment.
“What?”
“This would work, wouldn’t it? Don’t go. Just let me look at you,” Eustace said, looking at her.
His voice had grown softer.
Even Evan wouldn’t be able to nitpick at it.
Evan stood behind his window, watching Eustace’s smile through the crack in the curtain.
His intent to kill had long spread through his entire body.
Did he honestly have no way to win against Eustace? That afternoon, Eustace and Danika talked for two hours over the phone.
They only hung up when they had nothing else to say.
Before an hour had even passed after their call, Eustace appeared once more in Danika’s sight.
This time, he knocked on the main door.
“What’s wrong, Mr.Clarke? Aren’t you going to let me in?”
Eustace stood outside the door, looking at Evan.
Evan was already planning to kill him.
He hadn’t even thought that Eustace was this annoying before. He was like a piece of gum stuck fast to the bottom of his shoe, no matter how hard he tried to peel it off.
However, he kept a smile on his face.
“Do come in.”
Howard opened the door a little deviously for him.It was then that they realized Eustace had company. An old man stood behind him.
Danika thought that he looked familiar.
