“Great. Let’s visit Mr. Zellweger before we get the paperwork done.” Blake wasn’t furious even though Eustace made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with her.
He nodded, and the two left for Graham’s room a floor above.
Graham was discharged on the same day as Eustace. Danika had processed the paperwork early in the morning and was ready to leave with Graham. Therefore, she looked rather taken aback when Eustace and Blake showed up.
“Mr. Zellweger and Miss Zellweger, we’re so sorry for visiting you at this time. Eustace’s health has recently improved. That’s why we had to pay you a late visit.” Blake began with an apology.
“Miss Watkins, how nice of you,’ Graham exchanged pleasantries, but he had no opinion of Eustace and Blake. His attention lingered a little longer on Eustace simply because he was Danika’s ex-husband, but that was all to it.
Eustace made small talk with Graham but couldn’t help stealing glances at Danika. She seemed to have lost weight during his absence and showed signs of tiredness, presumably from acting as Graham’s caretaker. He was worried about her but did not vocalize his concern.
Sensing his gaze, she tilted her head to look at him and met his eyes. She froze but quickly smiled and nodded at him. He was pained by the awkwardness between them.
“Mr. Zellweger, since you’re discharged, we will not take up your time. I’ll need to get the paperwork done for Eustace too.” Blake planned to leave after a quick chat with Graham.
She had noticed the interaction between Eustace and Danika and was driven mad by envy. As she had feared, Eustace only had eyes for Danika once he regained his memories.
I Have Nothing to Do with Him
Graham turned back and looked at Danika. Seeing that she had no reaction, he nodded and said, “Alright then, Miss Watkins and Mr. Quincey, take care on your way. I’d see you off, but…”
“No need to trouble yourself, Mr. Zellweger. Take care of your health.” Blake smiled and pulled Eustace to leave.
Surprisingly, Eustace didn’t lose his temper. After nodding to Graham, he followed Blake out. Once they had left, Graham looked at Danika with concern and asked, ‘What’s going on between you and Eustace?”
“I have nothing to do with him. Don’t worry too much about it,” Danika replied. Perhaps because she had experienced too much, she was no longer hung up on love and romance. It would be great if she met someone who also liked her, but it was fine if she didn’t.
Graham didn’t press the topic any further. With a smile, he said, ‘Alright, I won’t worry about it.”
Eustace and Blake ran into Evan outside the ward the moment they walked out. The man was surprised to see them.
“Hello, Mr. Quincey, Miss Watkins.”
“Hello, Mr. Clarke,” Blake greeted. She had been monitoring Danika with great attention and investigated everyone around her. However, she was particularly interested in Evan. Although the information she gathered about him seemed ordinary, there was something strange about his experience overseas.
Eustace didn’t say hello to Evan. He wasn’t going to treat his rival in love well.
“Are the two of you here to visit Mr. Zellweger?” Evan couldn’t care less about Eustace. In fact, he considered it a good sign as it meant Eustace didn’t have confidence.
Blake nodded. “Yes, we planned to come earlier, but you know that Eustace just recovered, so we delayed our visit until now.”
“Oh, I see. I didn’t know.”
It was a lie. Many knew about Eustace’s surgery, and so did Evan. However, he refused to acknowledge it. After all, he and Eustace were not close. Why would he care about him? Blake awkwardly chuckled. She could see that Eustace and Evan were not getting along well.
“Well, Mr. Clarke, you should go inside. I think Mr. Zellweger and Dr. Zellweger are both waiting for you.”
“Alright.” Evan nodded. “I came to pick them up and help them with the discharge. I won’t take any more of your time.”
With that, Evan entered the ward. Eustace watched him talk to Danika as if they were good friends, and his heart was filled with jealousy. If it weren’t for his amnesia, it would have been him standing by Danika’s side now. If he had Danika, he wouldn’t bother with the Quinceys. However, what was done was done. He had to get the Quincey family in his hands. As for Danika, he hadn’t figured out what he would do with her yet.
While Evan didn’t know what Eustace was brewing in Eustace’s mind, he could see the jealousy in his eyes.
“Let’s go,” Blake said. “We have to get you discharged.”
Eustace nodded and followed Blake out.
Graham invited Evan to stay for dinner at Zellweger Castle. Compared to Eustace, he preferred Evan more. Although Eustace was a potential heir of the Quincey family and Evan did not have a good family background, Graham wasn’t concerned about it. As long as
Danika liked him, he had no objections.
However, he couldn’t help but be concerned when he noticed Danika’s lack of interest in Evan. He wondered if his daughter had lost faith in love after her experience with Eustace. If that was the case, Eustace was a horrible person who had caused his daughter to suffer greatly.

Danika was unaware of what her father was thinking. Even if she knew, she would probably be at a loss at how to react.
“Dad, wait here with Evan. I’ll go to the kitchen and have a look.*

“What is it? Speak your mind,* Graham nodded.
“After this, are you planning to let Danika take over Zellweger Inc?” Evan asked. He could tell that Graham was preparing for that recently.
Graham was not surprised that he could see it. He nodded and said, “Yes, in a few days, I plan to formally announce Danika’s taking over of Zellweger Inc. As for myself, I have something I want to do.’ After almost dying this time, Graham found that he still had regrets. Therefore, he wanted to do what he wanted while he still could, so he wouldn’t regret it for the rest of his life.
