For a moment, there was a deathly silence in the bathroom.
When Cornell saw the expression on Audrey’s face, his heart throbbed violently. He became even angrier.

The looming pain in her lower abdomen came again. She clutched her belly with her hands, trying to relieve the pain.
At this moment, the door was pushed open with a bang.

After the maid left, Audrey couldn’t fall asleep. The maid’s words played in her mind over and over again.
