Just as Danika was about to stop him, Janet stopped him first. “You’re still recovering, so you can’t drink.”
“Can’t I drink a little?” Zack asked.
Danika shook her head. “Of course not. What are you talking about?”
Immediately, Janet grabbed the cup from him and shouted at the waiter. ‘ Hi, can we have a glass of juice over here?”
Just like that, Zack ended up drinking juice while Danika and the others drank beer.
“Danika, is Gilbert mad at me?” Zack was a little worried. While he knew that Gilbert had always wanted him to break up with Janet, he really couldn’t do it.
Danika was conflicted when she heard that. “Don’t worry,” she said. “He isn’t mad at you. I will talk to him later, so don’t worry.”
Zack nodded and fell silent.
Halfway through their meal, Janet mustered the courage to ask, “Zack, you asked me if I would like to marry you. Were you serious about it?”
“Of course!” Zack nodded. A little stunned, he asked, “Why are you asking that?”

Before Janet could say anything, Danika nudged Zack. “What are you doing? Propose to her now!”
Zack quickly got to his senses, knelt on one knee, and produced a ring from his bag. Fortunately, he had it with him all the time.
“Janet, will you marry me?” Zack asked.
This time, Janet didn’t refuse.
“Yes,” she replied with a smile, and Zack put the ring on her finger.
Everyone applauded her. In Janet’s opinion, it was the bravest thing she had done.

Smiling triumphantly, Danika took Eustace’s hand, “Hmph, this is my fiance, so you think you can bully me.”

After the issue between Janet and Zack was resolved, Danika tried to meet Gilbert, but he declined her invitation, claiming to be busy. With no other option, Danika decided to visit Gilbert’s company.
When Danika knocked on the door to Gilbert’s office, he was still busy with work.
“Gilbert,” Danika called, standing in front of his desk. “It’s lunchtime. Won’t you treat me to a meal?”
Gilbert didn’t expect Danika to visit him. Nonetheless, he didn’t turn her away. Instead, he smiled and said, “Alright.”
He took Danika to the company cafeteria. After moving his company to Bardoff City, things were going fairly well. The company had grown in size; hence, it was crowded during lunchtime. Being the president of his company had its privileges. Danika followed him to the second floor, where there was a dedicated place for him to order food.
“What would you like to eat?” Gilbert handed her the menu.
Glancing at it, Danika smiled and said, “The food you have here is much better than what we have at the hospital.”
“If you like the food here, you can always visit,” Gilbert said.
Chuckling, Danika placed an order before she handed the menu back to him. After Gilbert had ordered, he turned to Danika, asking, “Why did you suddenly come looking for me? What happened?”
“Nothing, Gilbert. Must something happen for me to look for you?” Danika felt a little sad. Not only did Gilbert not take the initiative to visit them, but he also didn’t seem very happy when she came to him.
Gilbert shook his head as he didn’t mean it that way. Nonetheless, things had turned awkward.
After a moment of deliberation, Danika decided to stop beating around the bush. “Are you still mad at me?” she asked.
“Mad at you? Why would you say that?” Gilbert didn’t understand. He didn’t feel like he had any reason to be angry with Danika, even though he had found it hard to digest the things she had said to him.
Recounting the past events, Danika felt guilty. “I was a bit too harsh with my words. You were just looking out for Zack.”
“Danika, do you really think I’m that petty?” Gilbert was frustrated. Although Danika’s words had been hard on his ears, they didn’t make him too angry.
“If you weren’t angry, why haven’t you visited Zack?” Danika asked.
Her question rendered Gilbert helpless. “I’ve been busy lately,” he said, “and as you said, we all have our own lives now, so why should I visit him?”
“Gilbert…”
“Don’t worry, I’ve let it go, and I’m happy for both of you.”
Hearing him say that only made Danika more worried. “Gilbert, are you alright?”
“Yes, I’ve never been better.” While he used to be worried that Danika and Zack might end up with the wrong people, he decided to stop worrying and had never felt more at ease.
Danika didn’t know what to say. While it was what she had hoped for, she felt that something was off.
Before she could speak, Gilbert said, “After you and Zack get married, I would like to do things I like.”
“What do you want to do, Gilbert?” Danika asked.
“I’m planning to take a trip to Mount Wallington. I had a conversation with an old man, and it was because of what he said that I came to a realization. He is at Mount Wallington, and I’m planning to look for him,” Gilbert said.
Danika was stunned.
“Gilbert! Are you going to become a priest?” Danika couldn’t believe it. She wondered if she had misunderstood Gilbert.

No one could blame Danika for reacting so strongly. Gilbert’s idea came out of the blue. She was completely unprepared for it.
She thought Gilbert would say that he wanted to travel around the world or look for a partner. Never had she expected him to say he wanted to visit Mount Wallington. It was hard for her to accept such a whiplash.
“Danika, there’s no need to be so worked up. No matter what I do in the future, I will always be your brother. That will never change,” Gilbert said with a smile, not denying Danika’s remark about him wanting to become a priest.
Danika began to panic. Hurriedly, she said, “Calm down, Gilbert. You haven’t even married or had children yet, let alone experienced the beautiful wonders of love. How can you suddenly be disillusioned with the world and what it has to offer?”
Danika felt that his decision had been made too quickly.
“Regarding marriage and children, they have no appeal to me. The same goes for romance,” he answered. While he had once considered being with Danika, after everything that happened, he no longer had any feelings for her and solely regarded her as his sister.
“Gilbert, how can you say that? You haven’t even tried it, so how do you know it holds no appeal to you? What if it’s something you’d actually enjoy?”
Danika tried to convince Gilbert, refusing to sit back and watch him become a priest.
Understanding where she came from, Gilbert answered, “Don’t worry, I’m just saying I want to take a look at Mount Wallington. I won’t necessarily stay there.”
“When do you plan to go?” Danika asked.
“Well, I’d wait till you and Zack get married. After all, I need to see you both find your happiness before I can pursue what I want,” Gilbert said.
Danika was touched by his words. At the same time, they frustrated her. There was still some time before she and Eustace got married, leaving her with a little time to change Gilbert’s mind. She had to hurry and introduce him to someone he liked. Once he found someone, he wouldn’t have the intention of becoming a priest anymore.
Having made up her mind, Danika cautiously said, “Gilbert, since you’ve decided to wait until after Zack and I get married, I’ll introduce two girls to you before that. What do you think about meeting them?”
The only solution Danika could think of was to send Gilbert on blind dates. That was the only way he could have a chance to meet new girls.
That suggestion gave Gilbert a headache. “Danika, I am not interested.”
“Just meet them. Well, just think of it as a way of making more friends,” Danika insisted. Gilbert wanted to refuse, but Danika didn’t give him a chance. “It’s settled then. Tomorrow at noon, I’ll send you the location.
Make sure to be there on time.”
Without staying for her meal, Danika got up and left. For one, she didn’t have any suitable candidates for Gilbert at the moment. Plus, she was afraid that Gilbert would have a chance to reject her suggestion if she stayed.
Gilbert shook his head helplessly as Danika left. There was nothing he could do about her.
After leaving Gilbert’s office, Danika immediately called Zack and told him about the situation. On the other end of the line, Zack couldn’t believe it either.
“We don’t have much time left, so you need to help me out. Get me all the information you have on girls suitable for Gilbert and send it to me. I’ll gather some on my end as well. Let’s introduce two beautiful, eligible girls to him,” Danika said.
