Just as she was about to say something, she was pulled away by the cabin manager. “I’m sorry to have disturbed you, Mr. Quincey.”

Then, she pulled the young stewardess away. Finally, Eustace had some peace and quiet.

When he turned his head to look at Danika, he realized that she had opened her eyes at some point and was a little annoyed. “Did I wake you up?”

“Someone tried to hit on you in front of me. If I didn’t wake up, then I would be too unwary, wouldn’t I?” Danika said with a smile.

Eustace pulled her back into his arms. “There’s no need for you to be wary. I only have eyes for you.”

“Is that so? I see that the girl just now is quite pretty.” She looked pretty enough to be an influencer, at least. If Danika were a man, it would be hard for her not to have a crush on the stewardess. After all, the man would not need to take responsibility after sleeping with a girl who threw herself at him like that.

Eustace rolled his eyes at her. He was a little angry. “Am I that superficial to you?”

Danika fell silent. It seemed like she was truly thinking about what kind of person Eustace was.

Eustace’s expression darkened. He leaned in and kissed Danika on the lips.” You’ve gone overboard!”

Danika snickered and pushed him away. “Don’t disturb me. I want to sleep.”

“You’re the one who started it, alright?” Eustace expressed his grievances.

Danika ignored him, closed her eyes, and fell asleep again. She actually did not take the stewardess from earlier seriously at all. She had been woken up, so it was only natural that she was a little annoyed.

The young stewardess was pulled into the crew rest compartment. Just as she was about to say something, the cabin manager scolded her in a stern voice, “What are you doing? Don’t you know you’re on the clock now?” “I was just trying to provide a better service for our customers in the first- class cabin.” The young stewardess did not feel that she was wrong. Instead, she was very unhappy about the cabin manager’s appearance.

Do You Really Have a Crush on Her?

The cabin manager rolled her eyes when she heard that. Then, she sneered coldly and said, ‘ You know very well why you did that. I don’t wish to expose you, but if you affected your work, don’t blame me for not showing you mercy.”

The stewardess wanted to say something else, but the cabin manager didn’t let her. “Why don’t you look closely at who that person is? How could you even think you’re worthy?”

“Who is he?” The stewardess had just joined this airline after leaving her previous employment. She was not from Parrington, so she truly didn’t know Eustace.

The cabin manager didn’t answer her question. Instead, she looked at her in disdain. “In any case, he’s someone out of your league.”

Then, the cabin manager left. The stewardess, however, was a little unwilling to admit defeat. She looked up Eustace’s name on the passenger list and committed it to memory. She was thinking of checking his identity out later when she left the plane.

Soon, the plane landed. Danika woke up just in time. She got up and disembarked with Eustace.

However, something they hadn’t expected happened while waiting for their luggage at the baggage carousel. The stewardess who hit on Eustace on the flight earlier actually followed them there.

“Mr. Quincey,” she called out to Eustace with a smile. “Mr. Quincey, this is my business card. If you need anything, you can call me. I promise to satisfy you.”

Eustace was perplexed while Danika sneered secretly.

The stewardess winked at Eustace. It was because she had already looked Eustace’s information up online that she knew who he was.

She felt she had no chance with a person like him, but even if she could only be his mistress, she would be fine with that. Therefore, she chose to make a move as she didn’t want to miss her only chance.

Before Eustace said anything, Danika grabbed the business card from his hand, glanced at it, and threw it in the trashcan beside them. “Even if you wish to get yourself a customer, you need to see who you’re talking to. Have you thought of the consequences before you act like this?”

The stewardess was upset. She didn’t know Danika’s identity, so it was only natural that she was not too polite with her. “You’ve gone too far! I gave that to Mr. Quincey. Who are you to throw it away?”

“I’m his girlfriend. Can’t I do that?” Danika looked back at Eustace and asked with a smile.

She was smiling, but Eustace felt that her smile masked her hostility. Without even hesitating, he nodded hard. “Of course, you can. I support any decisions you make.”

The stewardess was speechless. She thought, “This man can’t be a fool, can he? Could he be rejecting me when I’ve already thrown myself at him?”

“Get out of my way!’ Their luggage had arrived, and Eustace had already gotten them. Of course, Danika didn’t wish to waste any time on the stewardess anymore.

When Danika walked past her, she stopped in her tracks again. ‘Oh yes. I’ll file a complaint against you. You should start thinking about who you should hand your business card to so that you can keep your job.”

The stewardess was so pissed off that she was at a loss for words.

However, she started to feel a little scared immediately after that. Would Danika truly file a complaint against her?

She wasn’t afraid of Danika but of Eustace. If Danika were to file a complaint in Eustace’s name, then she definitely would not be able to keep her job. At that moment, she was a little scared.

She immediately called her boss. After she coaxed her boss in a cutesy manner, her boss finally agreed to meet her.

Danika and Eustace had no idea about that. They were not interested in it either.

However, Danika was serious when she said she wanted to file a complaint. As soon as she got in the car, she called the airline to complain about the stewardess.

Eustace couldn’t help but be amused when he saw her describing the stewardess’s tone dramatically to the person on the other end of the call.

After the call ended, Eustace said, “I thought you were joking, but you actually filed a complaint.”

“I’m not a person who likes to joke.’ Danika glanced at him, then she said with suspicion, “You can’t really have a crush on her, can you?”

Eustace was speechless. He immediately used his finger to flick Danika on her forehead. “What are you thinking about? I just thought that kind of person isn’t worthy of you wasting your time. If you’re really mad, I’ll have someone take care of it later. There’s no need for you to call personally.’

It Is an Important Event

“It’s fine. I don’t feel I’ve wasted my time. I feel it’s quite interesting.’ Her life was too dull, so of course, she would not feel that it was a waste of time when things get spiced up sometimes.

Eustace said nothing further when he heard her saying that. ‘Do I first take you home?”

“No need. Just drop me off at Jade’s home. I’ll go and see if she needs any help.” Jade and Max’s wedding would be in a couple of days, so Jade should be very busy at that moment. As her bridesmaid, Danika had to go and have a look.

Eustace had no objections. He told the driver the address and asked him to drive them there.

“What about you? Are you going to the company?” Danika asked.

Eustace nodded. “I’ve only left for a few days, but there’s already a bunch of things piled up and waiting for me to handle. There are too many things to handle at the Quincey Group, and those people from the Quincey family don’t want to get involved at all. That’s why I’m quite busy.”

“Eustace, I think you can try letting Julian or Isabelle help you. They are also a part of the Quincey family, so they probably won’t do anything to the Quincey Group.” Danika had met the siblings. She felt they were quite amicable and had no ill intention.

If Eustace were to handle such a huge company on his own, he would be swamped with work forever. However, once he had a couple more people helping him, it would be much easier for him.

Eustace fell silent for a moment. He thought that she made some sense. “I’ll talk to them later and see what they think.’

He didn’t have his guard up against those few people from the Quincey family. On the one hand, it was because he was confident in himself; on the other hand, he also felt Julian and Isabelle probably had no ill intentions. In any case, they were much more reliable than Xavier and Luke.

Soon, they arrived at Jade’s home. Jade had bought a property in Bardoff City because she had moved to the city. At that moment, her home was bustling.

She was going to get married. It would be her second marriage, but to Jade’s parents, it was still a happy occasion. They had always been worried that their daughter would lose hope in marriage after experiencing failure once.

Fortunately, she was still willing to get married.

They had met Max. He was a little unreliable back then, but they could tell the young man truly loved their daughter and was good to her.

As Jade’s parents, they didn’t have any other demands. As long as he was good to their daughter, there would be nothing to be concerned about.

When Danika arrived, Jade’s home was packed with her relatives.

After Danika entered and met Jade’s parents, she quickly greeted them,” Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Weston.”

There were a lot of people in Jade’s home. After Danika greeted Jade’s parents, Jade got her out of there and went to the cafe opposite her home. “Gosh, finally, some peace and quiet.”

Even Jade found her home noisy, let alone Danika.

However, they were her relatives, so she could not say anything. She was just feeling troubled as she could not find an excuse to leave. Fortunately, Danika arrived, which provided Jade the chance to leave.

“It’s good to have so many people. After all, a wedding is an important event. Your parents also hope that you can have a grand wedding,” Danika comforted Jade, as she did not want her to feel unhappy at that moment.

Jade, however, was not really unhappy. She just felt they were a little noisy. “I know. I originally wanted to have something simple this time and just have dinner with our parents. But Max disagrees. He insisted on having a big one. If he hadn’t, things would not have been so troublesome.”

If it was according to her idea, they didn’t even need to have a wedding ceremony, wedding photos, and a reception. Just a simple dinner at a hotel for their family and friends would do.

We’re Just Playing the Supporting Roles

Danika and Max were on the same page on that matter. ‘Max just wants to be good to you. Which woman wouldn’t want a grand wedding?”

“So what if we had a grand wedding? It won’t hold us back at all from having arguments in the future,’ Jade said in a mocking tone.

Danika could not help but burst out laughing. She didn’t know what to say.” It’s because you’ll argue in the future that you have to save some good memories. This way, when you guys do argue later on, you’ll be reminded of how much you loved each other back then when you think of the wedding.”

Jade pursed her lips and said nothing.

She wanted to say that all these were useless. She also had a grand wedding with Hayden back then, but that didn’t stop them from arguing and fighting. In the end, he betrayed her and forced her to agree to the divorce without taking even a cent for alimony.

She didn’t say it, but that didn’t mean Danika was clueless. “Jade, everybody is different. You can’t marry Max with any prejudices. It’ll be hard for you to live a happy life that way.”

Danika hoped this was a marriage that could bring Jade happiness and let her forget the pain she got from her first marriage.

“I know what you mean. Don’t worry. I’m not that foolish.” She just could not help thinking about it sometimes, but she would not truly take it to heart.

Everything would pass eventually. Perhaps it was already in the past at that moment.

“Oh yes, Jade, I came over today to ask if you needed me to help you with anything. Maybe blow some balloons, wrap some gifts, or something,’ Jade said with a smile, trying to divert Jade’s attention.

Jade shook her head. ‘So many of my family members are here, so all those have long been taken care of.”

“I’m sorry. I was at Parrington the past few days. I should have come earlier to help.” Danika felt a little apologetic. She felt that she had failed as her bridesmaid.

Jade did not mean that, so she said, “The reason my mother invited so many relatives over was to do all these. They were very happy to help.
