“Fuck! Isn’t that a blatant provocation? Was Scott provoking you intentionally so you’d get pissed off and quarrel with River?” Alex realized the situation.
Noah’s action of pouring himself a drink halted.
Alex said anxiously, “I remembered something that Paige told me previously. Scott once made an expression on purpose, which terrified her.”
Noah frowned. “What kind of expression?”
Alex said, “I don’t know the details, but Paige told me that Scott didn’t appear jealous at all when he witnessed your interaction with River! Does that count as him having feelings for her? I wouldn’t be able to do that if I were him! If he doesn’t have feelings for her, what is his intention of getting close to River then?”
Noah thought to himself quietly.
“Have you ever looked into Scott’s background?” Alex asked.
Noah took a sip of his drink and said, “No.”
“Look into it then! I can feel that something is off,” Alex reminded.

The next day, Casey and Draco had breakfast together at De Marco Residence.
After breakfast, Draco took a sip of his coffee and said, “Casey, you don’t have to go to the company from today onward.”

Casey had spent a considerable amount of money replacing materials in the past two days. He aimed to strike a blow to Noah when the amusement park’s construction was completed.

To protect Casey, Draco had to make up a lie. “The upper management has diverse opinions on the loss you caused to the company.”

Casey’s expression turned cold. “I have something that I need to do at work, Father!”

Draco got up and left the dining room after saying that.

At 9:00 a.m., just as Noah arrived at his office in MK, Casey walked in.

Noah’s expression turned cold. “Get out of here.”
“Aren’t you the one who should get out of here?” Casey shouted.
He walked toward Noah and mocked, “This was my company from the start, while a bastard like you is supposed to make money for me!”
“Are you trying to get yourself killed? Don’t think that I won’t dare to kill you!” Noah grabbed Casey by his collar!
The secretaries immediately ran outside to watch the scene after hearing the noise from the office.
They discussed amongst themselves when they saw Noah and Casey quarreling.
“Mr. De Marco is a bastard? Why would the VP say that?”
“I heard that Mr. De Marco Sr.’s first wife passed away early, and he married two more wives after that. Mr.
De Marco is the third wife’s child.”

Reuben rushed into the room as Casey’s face was badly battered.
He stopped Noah hastily, saying, “Please stop, sir!”
With aggressive eyes, Noah shouted coldly. “Go away!”
Reuben tightly hugged Noah’s waist, refusing to let go. “Please calm down, sir! He’s provoking you, so don’t lose your composure. Beating him to death won’t be beneficial for you!”
Noah paused, and the anger in his eyes turned to pain at Reuben’s advice. He gnashed his teeth, glaring at the severely beaten Casey.
“Get security to throw him out of MKI” Noah suppressed his anger with great effort.
Reuben said, “Leave it to me, sir. Please calm down!”
After loosening his grip on Noah, Reuben called security. They soon carried the unconscious Casey out of the room.
Draco learned about the incident in less than 10 minutes and angrily called Noah on his way to the hospital.
The call was picked up promptly.
Draco snarled, “You piece of shit! How far are you willing to go to achieve your goals, huh?”
Noah looked at his red and swollen knuckles. He said, “If you don’t want people to know about Casey, how about making a deal with me?”
Half an hour later, Draco’showed up at Noah’s office and stormed toward Noah. “Don’t think you have the right to negotiate about shares with me just because of your current position!”
Noah looked up slowly. “It seems that Casey is not that important to you.”
Draco said, “Don’t you dare threaten me with Casey, and don’t even think about getting 30% of my shares! You ungrateful brat!”
Noah said coldly, “Since this is non–negotiable, I will invite the journalists to MK’s press conference this afternoon.”
“You dare?” Draco’s body was shaking in frustration.
“You can see for yourself if I dare to do it or not,” Noah reminded him.
Draco said, “Don’t push me to convene a shareholders‘ meeting and collectively vote you out of MK!”
Noah was composed. “Who else do you think is still capable of growing MK? Is it Casey? Or Adam? If both of them were even slightly capable, you wouldn’t have put me in this position for a decade. Of course, you may choose to do so if you want the De Marcos to have no status in Novamere from now on.”
Noah raised his head and tapped on his temple. “You should know that the ways to maintain MK’s position are here.”
