Agnes was completely convinced when she heard that. Every word this CEO of hers said seemed to make a lot of sense.
“Why me?”
Elspeth let out a humorless smile and replied truthfully,
“Because I think you look a lot like someone. You should be able to get famous easily if we package you well.”
Agnes was frozen for a brief second as some thoughts that she had never seriously considered before gradually crossed her mind.
The crew began to talk about a month ago. She couldn’t remember the exact details of those conversations, but the general idea was that she looked like a famous Internet celebrity called… Skylar Byron?
“You mean I look similar to Skylar Byron, the Internet celebrity?”
Elspeth nodded without hesitating.
“Smart cookie. Do you know which company she is signed under?”
Agnes carefully made her guess.
“Your company?”
“What a teachable lady you are.”
“Wouldn’t it be a little conflicting if I joined the company when Skylar is already signed to your company?”
Elspeth seemed tired from standing, so she found a chair and sat down. She began to chat with Agnes.
“Since I’m going to recruit you to join my company, I have to tell you something.”
“What is it?”
Agnes started feeling nervous when she heard Elspeth’s quiet voice.
“Do tell me, Miss Lynwood. I promise I won’t tell anyone.”
“No need to tense up. But yes, I want to tell you that I’m ready to let go of Skylar and make you popular instead.”
What? Let go of Skylar? Agnes couldn’t process this shocking information, and her brain instantly stopped working. No matter what, Skylar is an Internet celebrity with tens of millions of fans. How can she be let go just like that? What about all the resources that were invested in her before?
“Because I believe that you will bring me a lot of benefits. Maybe even more than she did.”
Elspeth smiled softly. Despite her words, she was the only one who knew the reason behind it.
Skylar might look innocent and harmless, but she secretly harbored too many evil ideas.
Elspeth wasn’t sure she could make Skylar listen to her obediently, and that was why Elspeth wanted to get someone to replace Skylar.
However, this reason was overly realistic. Elspeth didn’t want to tell Agnes about it just yet.

Agnes was unwilling to take away other people’s resources. However, she felt encouraged for some reason when she saw the trust and expectation written all over Elspeth’s face. As if enchanted, she bobbed her head up and down.
“Yes. I will listen to you.”
Elspeth had first taken a liking to her for having a face similar to Skylar’s, but after getting to know her a little bit more, she was now attracted to Agnes’ seriousness and persistence.
There could only be cons to having someone like this on her side.
“In that case, let’s go back to the company.”
Elspeth smilingly stood up and started to make a move toward the door.
“Elspeth! Are you going to abandon me just like that again?!”
Yelena’s angry voice rang out loud and clear from behind.
“You promised to have dinner with me!”
Naturally, Agnes, who was beside Elspeth, heard every word.
“Excuse her.”
Elspeth flashed Agnes an embarrassed smile.
“She has always been rather boisterous. I can’t do anything about it.”
Even though she was reproaching Yelena, her tone clearly sounded doting.
Agnes couldn’t help feeling envious of Elspeth and Yelena’s friendship.
“It’s okay. I find Miss Sullivan adorable.”
Elspeth felt relieved, but in this situation, she could only take out her phone and send Yelena a message.
‘I hired a new employee. I have to take her to the company to complete her registration for a bit. I’ll buy you a meal next time.’
The wailing behind instantly became 10 times louder.
“Elspeth Lynwood, you liar!!!”
Elspeth brought Agnes back to the company and went through the entry procedures for her.
Elspeth wanted to take Agnes to her usual workplace after they were done with the formalities. However, when she received a call last minute, she had to ask Harper to guide Agnes while she hurried back to her office.
With her phone in her hands, her pupils narrowed at a photo sent to her WhatsApp.
It was a photo taken from a surveillance camera’s angle. Although it was black and white, she could still clearly see a familiar figure in the corner.

‘Elsie, I got this photo after I looked into the surveillance footage of the places where Miss Joneson might have gone to. I compared it to the photos you gave me. There is a big possibility that this person is Miss Joneson.’
‘Big possibility? This is her!’ Elspeth replied.
‘Got it. I will help you check the next surveillance footage and let you know where she might have gone. Talk soon.’
“Alright. Thanks, Lisa.’
After ending the conversation, Elspeth stared at the photo, feeling lost.
That went on for a short minute before she suddenly noticed a serious problem. This hospital looked familiar. In fact, it looked like the one she brought Aldea to last time.
She carefully compared the photos, only to find one too many similarities between them.
At this point in time, there should be a high chance of the two of them meeting each other if they were at the hospital at the same time.
In other words, Helena might have noticed her, but she didn’t make herself known to Elspeth!
But why didn’t she? Why did she suddenly leave without a word? And she refuses to see me no matter what.
Elspeth’s frown deepened because she couldn’t understand Helena’s plan.
Right when her mind was a mess, she immediately received a call from Harper.
“Come here quickly, Elsie.”
He sounded somewhat worried. It was as if he didn’t know how to deal with the situation happening in front of him.
