Meanwhile, Tatiana had gone to the restroom. After she finished powdering her nose, she hurried back outside.
“You stupid beasts! What are you stopping me for? Can’t you see I have an invitation?”
The familiar yet irritating voice made Tatiana stop in her tracks. Her heart sank briefly as she turned to look at its source.
Tatiana spotted two security guards holding Brie back not far away while she yelled at the top of her lungs, flinging the invitation around in her hand like she was some mad hag.
Brie had really gone all out tonight. Her makeup was exceptionally striking, and she was wearing an extremely revealing dress. One look at her, and anyone would think that she was attending a wedding.
while others might think she was some harlot.
But what was Brie doing here?
She even had an invite! Had Josh gotten her in?
Those thoughts ran through Tatiana’s mind as her heart pounded in her chest.
“Get out of my way! Do you have any idea who you’re messing with? If you don’t let me in right now, I’ll make your life hell!’
Brie struggled with all her might against the guards’ grips, but they were so strong that it felt like her bones might snap.
“What’s going on here?” Just then, Sean walked over, his expression flat.
“Mr. Lynch, this woman is trying to sneak into the premises with a fake invitation. We managed to stop her in time, but she won’t leave, no matter how hard we try,” one of the guards reported.
Sean raised an eyebrow. “Oh?”
“It… It’s you! The one in the Porsche!” Brie recognized Sean as the man who had come to Tatiana’s defense the other night.
She v yelled at him, “So you work in this hotel, huh? Are you the manager here? Ah, it doesn’t matter. Just tell these guards to keep their filthy hands off of me and let me inside!”
But Sean behaved as if they had never met, only saying coldly, “If your invitation is fake, then please leave right away.”
“Fake? What bullshit are you talking about? I got my invite directly from one of your hotel’s staff! How could it be fake?” Brie roared, tossing the invitation right in Sean’s face.
“Open those good-for-nothing eyes of yours and see for yourself!”
The card hit Sean’s face, leaving a thin papercut.
He remained unperturbed, only raising a hand to touch the wound.
*Sean!” Tatiana finally ran over to his side, unable to bear seeing the man she loved get hurt.
“Oh, you’re here too, you little bitch? Brie was surprised, but it was quickly replaced by disdain.
“What a fine pair you two make.”
As Brie spoke, she eyed the dress Tatiana was wearing. Wasn’t that dress part of a spring collection due next year that had been revealed during Bastian Fashion Week?
How could a hotel manager who only drove a Porsche possibly maintain a girlfriend like Tatiana? Tatiana must really focl around in private, yet she still always acted like she was so innocent.
How disgusting!
“Who are you calling a bitch? Show some respect!” Sean couldn’t hold his anger back anymore as he cracked his knuckles menacingly.
“You’d best not trust her too much, kid. She might look innocent, but she’s secretly very experienced in bed,” Brie said with a toss of her hair, staring right at Tatiana.
“Her scandals have long spread throughout our campus. Everyone in Solana Film Academy knows what a slut she is in. Only an outsider like you would be fooled without your knowledge.”
Sean was so angry that his shoulders were shaking. Alyssa had made him promise to control himself. At the same time, he understood he had to let Brie lose composure first before getting rid of her.
But he still found it incredibly difficult to hold back right now.
“We can talk about your grievances outside, Brie. Don’t start a scene in here!” Tatiana stood before Sean, worried that things might escalate
“Who would want to talk to you? I have a celebration to attend, and you are not worth my time! Now let go of me!” Brie screamed.
Tatiana’s lips pressed into an angry line as she resisted the urge to give Brie a tight slap.
“What’s with all the noise?” A cold yet melodious voice rang out all of a sudden.
Brie quickly turned to look at who it was.
Alyssa was walking toward them, accompanied by two bodyguards. Brie’s heart dropped at the sight, and she instantly grew silent.
This
….this was the renowned Alyssa Taylor? KS World Hotel’s CEO and world-famous jewelry designer,
Alexa?
She was so stunningly beautiful, like she was some mythical goddess come to life!
“Ms. Alyssa,” Sean and the other guards greeted respectfully.
Tatiana lowered her head silently, feeling guilty for having troubled her sister. Like Lyla, Tatiana was most afraid of causing her family trouble. The feeling was worse than death.
Alyssa walked over to them solemnly. She didn’t so much as glance at Brie as she asked Sean, “What’s going on? This isn’t some mall hosting Black Friday, so what’s with all the screaming and yelling?”
“This woman was trying to enter the venue with a fake invitation. We’re not sure what her motives are.
She might pose a threat to everyone inside.”
Sean had a look of utmost seriousness on his face as he suggested, “Why don’t we hand her over to the police and let them handle it?”
“Police?” Brie immediately grew frantic at the suggestion.
“There’s no need for them at all! I have an invitation right here. Your men were the ones who tried to stop me in the first place! Can’t I try to stand my ground? Is this how you rich folk treat us commoners? I’m going to record this and post it online!”
Brie then tried to take her phone out.
Just then, Alyssa took the invite Brie had tossed at Sean earlier and glanced at it.
With a sneer, she said, “But my secretary was right. This is a fake invitation.”
“W-What?” Brie was stunned.
So was Tatiana, whose eyes widened as they focused on her sister.
Alyssa waved the invitation in the air. “Every invitation is sealed with KS Group’s company seal and contains my handwritten signature. Your copy doesn’t appear to have either of these, which can only mean that it’s fake.
“At the very least, I didn’t issue this.”
Cold sweat dripped down Brie’s back. She was left speechless.
Brie had known that someone like her wasn’t fit to attend an event hosted by the Taylor family. But she had still received the invitation.
She had initially thought that Josh had arranged this for her and had dressed up accordingly just to surprise him.
Who knew she would end up embarrassing herself like this?
But then, what was up with this invite?
“Forgery is indeed concerning. We’ll do as you suggested, Sean, and send her to the police station,”
Alyssa instructed.
“Yes, Ms. Alyssa.” Sean nodded,
He turned to the guards and instructed, “Take her away!”
“Why? I didn’t commit any crime!” Brie cried, her face turning an ugly shade of red. She then pointed to
Tatiana.
“If you want to take me away, then she should be coming with me! She shouldn’t be here in the first place, given her status!”
