If he didn’t cherish it, it would be a waste.

He had to seize this chance to establish his position within the Quinceys! “Have you decided?” Blake asked, observing his firm gaze.

She had already guessed Eustace’s choice, so she wasn’t surprised.

Eustace nodded and stopped thinking about the Quinceys.

Instead, he looked at Blake and asked, “What are your motives?”

He didn’t believe that she had no agenda of her own.

“I’m your doctor.Isn’t it my duty to save you?” Blake shrugged.

She was lucky to have called him that night and discovered that something had happened to him.

As a result, she immediately had people in Parrington save him.

Fortunately, they arrived in the nick of time and pulled him out of the river. If they had come later, they would have only found his body.

Alas, Eustace didn’t believe her.

He stared at her and asked again, “What are you trying to do?”

Blake shrugged again.

“I’m not trying to do anything.I just think that you’ll need my help if you want to take over the Quincey family.”

Eustace was confused.

Blake continued, “Let me reintroduce myself.I’m Blake from the Watkins family, one of the Ten Elites in Bardoff City, just like the Quinceys. My goal is simple: I’ll do my best to help you get the Quincey family, and then you’ll help me get the Watkins family.”

She grinned at him, her eyes full of ambition.

Although she was the daughter of the Watkins, Blake didn’t have the opportunity to inherit it.

After all, in the eyes of those old fogies, the heir had to be a man.

Before Eustace appeared, she had already resigned herself to this fact. However, now, she felt that she had a fighting chance.

Eustace thought her goal was rather reasonable, so he could accept it.He was just about to make a deal with her when Blake added, “I also have a personal goal.”

Eustace frowned.

Blake leaned closer and whispered in his ear, “I’ve got my eyes on you.”

With that, she left, leaving nothing but her laughter echoing in the room.

Eustace wasn’t sure how to respond.

Although Blake was beautiful, he wasn’t interested in her.

However, he wasn’t repulsed by the idea.

They were using each other, so there was no need for him to define their relationship.

All he needed was a plan on how to take over the Quinceys. He wondered what Danika was like.

Eustace wasn’t a man who would get obsessed over a woman.

Hence, he figured that he must have been really sick for him to have acted that way.

Fortunately, he had recovered and didn’t plan to be involved with her again now that they were divorced.

Suddenly, Eustace snapped back to reality.

Why was he thinking about Danika again? He should be thinking about how to take over the Quinceys.

Everything else wasn’t important.

Let’s Stay Out of Each Other’s Hair

Eustace contacted his friends and family in Parrington, including Old Mr.Quincey, Vincent, and even Paul, but not Danika. It wasn’t until the next day that Danika learned from Vincent that Eustace was still alive. She couldn’t believe it, feeling both happy and finding it surreal.

Danika and the Windsors had just implemented their plan to take down the Glasses.

Before she even had a chance to investigate the Glasses, she was told that Eustace was fine. She wondered if it was a work of the Glasses or if Eustace had escaped from them on his own.

Danika had many questions to ask, but above all that, she was eager to see Eustace.

After the call with Vincent, she was about to call Eustace when it finally hit her.

Vincent had told her that Eustace had contacted them a few days ago, so why hadn’t he contacted her? Feeling a little suspicious, she eventually dialed Eustace’s number.

She had to confirm whether he was really safe.

The phone rang for a long time before he answered.

Danika suddenly realized her palms were sweaty, but she didn’t understand why she was so nervous.

Before she could figure it out, the call connected.

“Hello?”

“Eustace, are you really alright?” Danika asked immediately.

On the other end of the line, Eustace seemed to be stunned.

It took him a moment to reply, “Yes.””

“Where are you? Are you in Bardoff City or Parrington?”

She had too many questions to ask him and felt it would be better to meet in person.Little did she know, Eustace was frowning on the other end of the line.

“I’m in Bardoff City.”

“Great! I’ll visit you right away.”

Danika was glad he was in Bardoff City.

If he were in Parrington, she wouldn’t be able to get there in time.

However, there was no reply from Eustace. He didn’t offer his exact location.

Finally, Danika realized that something was amiss with his behavior.

“Eustace?” she called out again, feeling a little uncertain.

What he said next was so unbelievable that the call ended before Danika could react.

“I’m sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused.I didn’t mean to do it, but it doesn’t matter now.I just want to tell you that I won’t bother you again from now on.Since we’re divorced, let’s stay out of each other’s hair. You know what I mean, right?”

He figured Danika would be happy to hear that since she had always seemed to dislike him bothering her, according to the information he had received.

Danika was dumbfounded.

What did he mean by staying out of each other’s hair? Danika couldn’t figure it out, so she called him again.

However, there were no rings, indicating he had probably blocked her number.

Although Danika was angry, she found it strange.

It didn’t seem like something Eustace would say.

Perhaps the person who picked up the call wasn’t Eustace.

With that thought in mind, she made a phone call.

“Hey, please run a check on someone for me.I want to know where he is now.”

Half an hour later, she arrived at Quincey Manor and was shocked to learn that Eustace was related to the Bardoff City’s Quincey.

Getting her teeth, she used her status as the eldest daughter of the Zellwegers to enter the compound and meet Eustace in person.

You Don’t Like Me at All?

Even though Eustace had lost his memory, he had seen pictures of Danika, so he recognized her the moment she appeared. He had the impulse to rush over and hug her, but he resisted.

On the one hand, it was because they were in Quincey Manor, and on the other hand, he chalked his desire to embrace as his unresolved psychological issue.

“What are you doing here?” he asked coldly.

He had no intention of telling anyone about his amnesia as he thought it was unnecessary since he could learn everything about himself from the information he had been given.

If others knew about his amnesia, they might do something to him.

Danika didn’t understand why he was being so cold.

He had only been missing for a few days, so why did it seem like he had changed completely? She had already decided to reconcile with him, but he behaved as if he didn’t like her one bit, as if his previous affection had been forced.
