Despite Luis’ prodding, Cornell remained stoic.
“Is it something to do with Audrey?” Luis tried another angle.
“Her?” Cornell finally responded, a sneer forming on his lips.
“That woman has nothing to do with me.”
His words dripped with coldness, cruelty, and unwavering determination, It was the first time Luis had heard Cornelll speak of Audrey in such a manner.
Cornell said those words seriously, but Luis found them unbelievable.
“You claim she has nothing to do with you. But have you forgotten that you often go back to her and harass her again and again?”
