“Yeah, me too. I don’t want to keep our love a Secret anymore. Well, not that  that is actually possible since we are married.” Vicky chuckled.

“I know. I’m really proud of you both and I’m glad that you both have each  other.”

“Thank you.”

“Hope you are settling in well?”

“Yes, I am. I haven’t really explored the city but I know I’ll do that gradually.  I’m still trying to search for a school for Sophie.”

“You can always look up Amie’s School. I can text you the address. They will  definitely not be in the same class but maybe Sophie would be a bit safe  knowing she would attend Amic’s school.”

“That’s a good idea. Please send the address and I’ll let you know what Oscar  and I decide.”

“I got a call today. I haven’t told Oscar about it because he woke up in good  spirits and I couldn’t bring myself to ruin the joy.”

“Holy shit, let me guess, my mom called you?”

“Yes!”

“I’m honestly so sorry about that, Vee. You’re right. If Oscar, knows, he is  going to freak out. There’s a restraining order out to any of you.”

Fedora sighed. “Do I pity her? Yes. Do I wish things between Her and Oscar  would get better? God knows I would do anything to see that happen but  Oscar wants nothing to do with her.”

“I get that she is sincere now but she really ruined things. And Yes, She had  no idea that Oscar was getting married and she was really pained to discover  that.”

“Do you allow Amie to hang out with her?”

“Yeah! Amie goes to her grandparents for the weekend once a month.  Sometimes, it’s twice when my husband and I need more time to ourselves.”

“I lost my parents long ago. I doubt Oscar will ever forgive his parents. That  means Sophie and the twins won’t know what it’s like to experience love from  their grandparents.”

“I feel like they would still bond with them. The wound is just still very fresh in  Oscar’s mind. I’m sure it’s still fresh in your mind too. But just give it time. I  know Oscar will come. around.”

“And yeah, you are the key to his heart, which means he can never refuse  you. Do have that in mind.”

Vee nodded, smiling.

“I just called to check on you. Amie and I would probably pop in this weekend  to see you all. We will remember to come with gifts for my niece and some  housewarming gifts too.”

Vicky chuckled. “There is no need, Dora. Her playroom can hardly contain  more stuff.”

“Oh, don’t worry. I won’t come with something that takes too much space.” Vee playfully rolled her eyes.

“Take care of yourself and I’ll see you this weekend.”

“Take care of yourself too,” Vicky said, ending the call.

The meeting went on for about 40 minutes and once it was over, Oscar made  sure Sophie stayed with his Secretary while he had some private  conversations with a few members of the board.

“Is this how you are going to continue to ignore me?” Oscar saw his father  approach him.

“What do you want?” Oscar asked.

“Why are you sounding like we are enemies?”

“We aren’t friends exactly and I’m sure your wife made it known to you that I’m  an orphan.”

“Don’t say that. You didn’t invite us to your wedding and you got a restraining  order on us. We are your parents, Oscar. Not your enemy. We made mistakes  and we are really sorry about it.”

“This is the only time I can talk to you. Whenever we are in the office because  it is work-related. My granddaughter is there and I can’t even approach her and introduce myself as her grandfather just  because you will sue me.”

“Don’t you dare say anything to try to guilt trip me. You stand here to call her  your granddaughter when your wife almost killed her by humiliating her  mother when her mother was still pregnant with her.”

“You have no point and I promise you that there is nothing you can say that  will make me change my mind about you and your evil wife. You both should  stay the fucking hell away from me and my family.” Oscar said and left his  father’s sight, not caring if his father had anything else to say.

He got his daughter from his Secretary’s arms and exited the conference  room.

“Mommy!!!!!!” Sophie ran towards Vicky the moment they were back at  Oscar’s office.

“My love,” She smiled, hugging Sophie.

“Were you good at the meeting”

Sophie nodded, smiling. “Yes, Mommy. And I made new friends too.”

“Friends Vicky chuckled, knowing the board room was probably filled with old  men and women.

“Yes, She was charming and almost everyone had a bit of conversation with  her. She sat on my legs throughout the meeting and was surprisingly  attentive. She was very well-behaved

“Yes, Mommy And Daddy said we are going to get Ice Cream after the  Babies’ appointment.”

“Speaking of the appointment, I think we should be on our way. Oscar  mumbled, taking a glance at his watch. He noticed they were already running  late as it would take them a while to get to the hospital.

Oscar, his wife, and his daughter arrived at the hospital at 1.12 p.m. They  were directed to the Doctor’s office. The Doctor went through Wee’s medical  report from her past checkup in Australia. She asked Vee a couple of  questions about her health after which She ushered the family to the  examination room

Vee was given clothes to change into after which she got into bed. Oscar was  standing to her left while Sophie was sitting on the chair to her right. The little  girl couldn’t stop smiling since they stepped into the room

“So sweetheart. What do you think Mommy is having The Doctor asked. “Two boys” She smiled brightly, showing Dr Natalie her two fingers

“I love how confident she is but I’m afraid she’s going to cry if she finds out we  aren’t having boys,” Victoria whispered to

“She won’t.” He smiled, assuring her:

“You’re so sweet. I have no doubt you are going to be an amazing big sister.” “Yes! I’m going to take really good care of my baby brothers.” “Have you heard their heartbeats before?”

Sophie shook her head.

“This is her first time coming for a check-up with us,” Vicky answered. “I see.”

The assistant in the examination room finished setting up the ultrasound  monitor and called Dr Natalie’s attention Knowing it was almost time, Vee  caressed her daughter’s cheek with her hand and then intertwined her hand  with Oscar’s Own

Dr Natalie applied some gel on Victoria’s belly and placed the wand on it.  Suddenly, everyone’s eyes were glued to the monitor. Including Sophie’s

After carefully studying the monitor for two minutes, Dr Natalie turned to the  family with a big smile on her face.
