“Your office is beautiful, Daddy.” Sophie smiled, looking around, liking what  she saw.

“So which do you prefer? This one or the one at home?”

“This one.” She grinned. “It’s really big” She made some kind of gesture with  her hands “And Very gorgeous.”

Before Oscar could say anything else, they were interrupted by a knock on the  door.

“Come in.” He said and the person on the other end came in. “Good morning, Sir.”

“Good morning, ma.” She directed at Vee who responded with a polite smile. “Everyone is ready for the meeting, Sir.”

“I’ll be there shortly.”

She nodded and took her leave.

“That’s my Secretary.”

“She looks chilled.”

“Yeah, Fedora recommended her. She has been working for me for nine  months now which is strange because the highest I’ve had is 4 months. You  know how crazy they are all the time.”

Vee chuckled. “They always want to eat you up.”

“And I don’t like mixing business with pleasure.”

“Oh really? It’s interesting how that rule didn’t apply to me.”

“I made every exception for you because you had me wrapped around your  fingers.”

Victoria blushed. “As I should.”

“My love,” Oscar turned his attention to his baby girl who was still in his arms.  “I need to go.”

Sophie frowned. “Where?”

“I have a meeting to attend. I’ll be done in 30 minutes.”

“Can I come with you, Daddy? Please?” She looked at him with puppy dog  eyes.

“I’ll be good. I promise, Daddy.”

“Sophie, this is work. Daddy really has to attend his meetings without any  disturbance.” Vee said, taking closer steps to the duo.

“I know you are in a space where you are trying to be good to her but you can  always decline some of her requests.”

“I’ll be good. I promise.”

“Honey, Daddy needs to go to work. He will be back soon. You’ll stay with me.  We can watch your cartoons together.”

“It’s fine, babe. I’ll take her with me.”

Vicky frowned a bit. “Are you sure? Isn’t this a board meeting?” “Yeah, it is. She will sit with me.”

“Babe, you sure? She can always stay here with me.”

Oscar smiled, “She wants to see what her Daddy does so it’s fine.” “Are you sure you will be Okay here?” He asked her.

“Yeah.”

“I’ll tell someone to bring you something to eat.”

“No, I’m fine. I’ll try to get some rest until you both are back.”

Oscar nodded. They exchanged kisses after which he took his leave with little  miss Sophie.

Vicky walked over to the chair in the visitor’s area. She placed her bag on it  and was about to sit when a knock came through on the door.

She said nothing and the person didn’t come in either but the knock came  through again very shortly.

“Come in,” Victoria responded, feeling quite unsure with her eyes plastered  against the door. The door opened and an awfully familiar person walked in.

“Muna?!”, Victoria said in disbelief, standing to her feet.

Muna smiled, “Oh my God, look at you.”

“You still work here?”

“Yes, I do. I was done conducting a meeting with some trainees that we have  when I heard people saying the Boss is back with his family. I had no idea it  was you. I saw Mr Wayde right now and he said you were here so here I am.  It’s so good to see you.”

“It’s good to see you too.” Vicky was already by her side at this point and they  both exchanged a hug.

Muna used to be her partner when she was working here. They had worked  on a lot of projects together.

“How has work been? I hope Wayde Enterprises has been treating you well?” “Fair enough.” She said and they both chuckled.

“Sorry about the way we parted. It was so unfortunate. We didn’t see it coming  either. We were only ordered not to share work information with you that you  would be living soon. Even though I didn’t know where you lived, I tried  reaching out to you on the phone but your number never went through.”

“It’s fine. I’m really glad to see you.”

“Same here.”

“I should get back to work. And if you need me for anything, don’t hesitate to  reach out.”

“Definitely.” Vee smiled. They shared another hug after which Muna took her  leave.

Victoria always kept to herself and that was why people hardly knew anything  about her, including where she lived. But she was definitely on good work  terms with everyone.

Vicky went back to the couch and occupied herself with her phone.

She was about locking her phone and taking a rest when a call came in. She  smiled upon seeing the caller ID.

“Hi Sis,” Vee said to the other side.

“Okay, I think you and your husband just broke the internet.” She chuckled, “We broke the internet?”

“Hell yes!”

“I open my phone and the first thing I see is a gorgeous-looking family,  showing love in front of Wayde Enterprises. You all are so cute.”

Victoria blushed. “That was fast. I had no idea someone would take our  pictures. I don’t remember seeing any paparazzi.

“Those pricks are always loitering around Wayde Enterprises. They were  probably at a distance. I’m glad the world knows that you and Oscar are  together.”
