Nick’s Wolf looks back at the figure behind him. A vicious light flashed in the Cold Beast’s eyes. It kept changing the direction of the run, my hands were bitten together. The fangs in Nick’s mouth tightened around the cut on my wrist, and blood oozed from my hands like he was already eating my flesh.

As Callum got closer, I could almost see the clenched muscles around his mouth. His black hair was blown to the back of his head, revealing a pair of sparkling cold eyes. He’s telling me with his eyes, don’t be afraid.

“WHOO!”

From behind came the majestic howl of the Wolf. The plain was silent for a moment. The Moon was half hidden in the sky. Black clouds were blown away by a sudden gust of wind.

The figure on the plain had disappeared, replaced by a black wolf with a silver glow. His strong limbs ran like a black storm. A flash of memory hit me in the head. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Callum was the Wolf I had dreamed of!

Nick sees the distance between them getting closer and closer. His breathing became more rapid, and the gush of heat hit my body. His fangs dug deeper and deeper into my wound. The pain made my body twitch and shake.

“WHOO!”

Callum at the back let out a howl of fury. The Black Wolf’s hair exploded, and his whole body showed a killing intent.

Seeing Callum gaining on him, Nick suddenly shifts sharply to the left. At the same time, a silver light suddenly flew out from the forest ahead, the arrow straight towards the running Callum.

“No!” I groaned, pale and tense, and for a moment, I forgot the pain.

Callum’s wolf took a sudden leap into the air. The gleaming arrow brushed his body, taking only a few hairs, and the bright moon shone behind him like a totem.

Before I could breathe a sigh of relief, the black wolf fell into a hole in the ground where it had suddenly appeared. In the blink of an eye, everything was out of sight and I was taken to a nameless lake.

“Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!” Nick, in his human form, laughed wildly around me, his shrill laugh like a raven’s revelry.

“No, no…” I was thrown to the ground by Nick. Grass traps on the ground, arrows popping up in the woods, Rogue’s words flashed through my mind.

“Can’t believe it? ! Who would believe that I, a beta, killed the noble prince? !” Nick was in complete ecstasy as he grabbed my hair and forced me to look at his face.

“You did this on purpose,” I said, unable to contain my anger as I stared at Nick, who was half-mad and half-contorted.

I’ve seen a lot of knives at the bottom of that trap. There’s Nick’s trap for Callum. And the consequences of falling into that trap, I dare not think about it.

“Of course it is,” Nick said, bending his eyes as he pulled back the strands of hair that had fallen to his ears. “I hate it when people take things from me. I told you, Jane, you would be mine, didn’t I?”

He was cut all over, but his joy kept him turning his head like a neurotic.

“After tomorrow, I’m going to see his body. I’m going to skin him and make clothes out of his wolf skin. Maybe Lycan’s meat will be delicious.”

Fear and unknown sadness flooded my body. Tears once again covered the face, but this time there was no one to wipe the tears for me.

“Why are you crying? Are you crying for Kal?” He suddenly changed his face. “Bitch! Do you think the royal family will accept a good-for-nothing who can’t shift into a wolf? Nicole is right. I’m helping you. The royal family will thank me.”

I kept silent under his stare, my fingers slipping into the knife hidden in my clothes. The cold blade suddenly gave me courage. I looked at Nick, who was ecstatic. I looked at his neck, where I’d left the scars from my last attack.

“Never mind. Now, I’m going to enjoy my prize.”

My skirt was ripped by Nick, and I held the knife in my back and let Nick move on me. His hot body kept rubbing against mine, his tongue leaving wet marks on every inch of my exposed skin, his hands around my waist, forcing me to unroll my body.

As his neck reappeared before my eyes, I pulled the knife from behind. The faint light of the knife flashed, and I saw a black wolf in the reflection of the knife.

The phantom shadow of the Black Wolf passed away. The blade of my knife had touched Nick’s neck, and if I had gone any further, blood would have gushed out as I had expected.

But it’s too late. The neck and heart are the werewolf’s Achilles’ heel. Every werewolf is extremely sensitive to both. This time, I lost the last good luck.

“You think I’m going to let you do it again, b.itch?” Nick suddenly raises his head and grabs my hand holding the dagger. He squeezed the bones in my wrists as if to crush them.

“Ah!” I had to cry out in sharp pain. Cold sweat dripped from my forehead. “You didn’t think that a good-for-nothing who couldn’t shift into a wolf would hurt you, did you?”

Despair turns all my pain into anger. The desire to destroy everything rose in my body, and though the bones in my wrists were crushed to the point of breaking, I held the hilt of the knife as if I were holding on to my last ounce of courage.

I hate myself for being different. I hate my weakness. But if the outcome is predictable, I would rather take my own life as a last bet as revenge on the perpetrator.

Nick’s face contorted even more. He grinned at me, his teeth bared. “It’s just luck, Jane. Why can’t you accept your fate?” He rubbed his forehead against mine, sniffing my scent carefully, “Jane, I Don’t blame you for being taken by the Prince, but you should apologize for what you did.”

The knife was taken away and thrown on the ground at random. My hands were tied behind my back and my clothes were peeled off bit by bit. Nick watched me in the moonlight as he played with my naked body like a spider playing with a fallen butterfly.

“Finally, no one will bother us. Jane, do you know how long I’ve waited for this moment?” The heat from Nick’s body kept coming closer. The Moon is still hanging over the sky, watching everything indifferently.

Mom, the Moon Goddess is not on my side. I think.

I could feel my legs parted and wrapped around Nick’s shoulder. I bit my lip until it was white and tears blurred my vision.

Mom…

Suddenly, I felt like I was weightless, and Nick was swept away by a black hurricane.

The big black wolf holds Nick down. His strong limbs push Nick to the ground. The moonlight illuminated his body and silvered every hair on his body. The wolf did not look back at me, but I was completely enveloped in the dark shadow behind him.

I stared blankly at the figure standing in front of me. Once again, the black wolf saved me from danger. My eyes are wide open. This isn’t my dream, is it?

The wolf’s dark golden eyes stared coldly at the helpless werewolf under his paws. This is the man who stole his girl from under his nose and tried to get his hands on her. His sharp fangs are near Nick’s neck, and there’s the smell of me. Anger assailed his reason. Callum’s brain instinctively tells him what to do before he makes a rational decision.

Nick was lying on the ground, his eyes dilated. He looked at what was happening in disbelief. His Highness should have fallen into his well-prepared trap, but now the breath of death suddenly came. He screamed, “No way! This can’t be! It’s full of…”

Before Nick could finish, the Black Wolf had sliced open his chest with its sharp claws, and blood gushed out like a giant red flower.

The smell of blood blurred my vision. After the wolf’s hair was soaked in the gushing blood, even the silvery light around him began to turn red. He slowly turned around and looked at me. His bright golden eyes were also covered with red blood, and the blood splattered down from the corners of his eyes. It was as if his eyes were bleeding.

At that moment, I finally understood why I had been able to escape Nick’s harassment the last time. Callum saved my life long before we even met.

“Pick up the knife on the ground and come here, Jane.” A deep voice sounded suddenly, and the blood-covered Wolf shifted back to His Highness. But this time he was no longer the noble Prince I had known. There were long tears in his neat clothes, blood oozing out of his clean clothes, and his black hair hanging down over his eyes. He touched his forehead, exuding manic danger.

“Master…” my hands were tied. My legs were weak, but I still stumbled up from the floor, trying to get close to the person who made me feel safe at the moment, and finally I knelt down next to Callum.

“Which of his hands touched you?”

Callum’s eyes look nonchalantly at Nick on the floor. Before I could answer, he lifted his boot and stepped on Nick’s hand, crushing it inch by inch, like the marks on my injured wrist.

“Ahhhhh!” The black leather soles of his shoes pressed like a burning iron against the bones of Nick’s hands.

Nick screams. He watched the skin on his wrists turn purple with blood. The sound of his bones breaking was muffled by Nick’s broken cries.

“Ha,” Callum chuckled suddenly, and Nick’s body trembled with fear. “You’re not so tough after all,” Callum said slowly.

With sweat all over his face, veins bulging in his forehead, and blood streaming from his chest, Nick stares at the black figure that is causing him pain. There was nothing but terror in his eyes. This time, he really felt the approach of death.

“How dare you touch my girl?”

Callum lets out a low growl and suddenly stomps his other foot down Nick’s throat. He was strong enough to splash the dust off the ground. His boots set off his cold eyes. The throbbing blood vessels in Nick’s neck wriggle like worms at his feet, and Nick struggles to stay alive, waving his remaining arms in the air. His lips turned purple, like a fish left in the desert, and he opened his mouth in despair, hoping for a chance to live.

Callum just stares at him expressionlessly, like a hunter bleeding his prey, letting blood spill from Nick’s struggle and stain his shoes.

I watched what Callum did to Nick. I should have felt the joy of revenge, but all I felt was panic. Callum’s expression was not normal. His golden eyes were like lava flowing with flames, and the crimson color of his eyes made him look completely disgraced, like a real beast, a raging wolf.
