As the SUV pulls away, I stare out the window and a small part of me hopes that one day I will return here to see Xandros. And hopefully he has found his Mate by then, because he deserves to be truly happy. To have someone that loves him for himself, not for what he might represent.

Xandros’ P.O.V.

My Wolf is having a party in my head and even though it is annoying as hell, I don’t stop him.

My Wolf and I learned at an early age it was best not to show any emotion in front of Father and now I am glad that we perfected it. Because hearing her voice through the mind-link was the last thing I had expected.

My Wolf is laughing as we remember her holding on to Alena’s throat and I realize that she held back, because in a fit of rage we can snap a neck in seconds.

“She most have heard a lot over the years. Most would whisper around her, after all being Wolfless meant she wouldn’t be able to hear them.” My Wolf states and I chuckle.

A slam on the table jolts me from my thoughts and as I look around I see that Alpha Damien has arrived. “Alpha Damien.” I say and nod my head.

“Xandros, just get used to not seeing that Wolfless Bitch again.” Alena says and I have to restrain my Wolf from growling at her. Without saying another word I finish my dinner and walk out of the room.

Maya’s P.O.V.

I am very aware of the Delta sitting next to me and I wish I could move further away from him, but there is nowhere to go.

The driver turns his head to me and asks “Why does your file state that you are Wolfless?” I tell him to keep his eyes on the road and I turn my head to look out of the window.

“You have nothing to lose. Tell them what you know.” And I know that Ivory is right.

“My Mother died when I was fifteen and on her deathbed she told me she was a Lycan. Because of that I did not shift when I turned eighteen and my Father automatically assumed that I was Wolfless.” I tell them about my Father marking Alena before my Mother actually died and I hear them chuckle.

“My Father didn’t even know her full name. He only knew her as Bella.” The driver asks me what her full name was and for a moment I am quiet, not sure if I should tell them.

“Her name was Izabella.” I almost slam in to the seat in front of me as the driver steps on the break, but the Delta next to me is fast enough to put his arm in front of me.

The three men look at me and the one in the passenger seat gets out. He puts a phone to his ear and after a few moments he gets back in to the car.

“The Council wants to see her and if it is confirmed that we are right, they will inform the King.” Confusion most be visible on my face, because the Delta next to me grabs my face to make me look at him.

“My name is Kaelan, the one behind the wheel is Amand and that is Camden. From the moment you walked down those stairs, we knew there was something familiar about you.

If your Mother is the Izabella we once knew, than your Father will be in for a shock. But there is only one person that can actually confirm our suspicions.” He looks in to my eyes and I can see the sincerity in his eyes.

I nod my head and thank him for explain at least a little. Amand pulls away from the curb and we continue our trip to the Council. Kaelan asks me about the charges and I tell them my side of the story.

“I don’t know who the note is from, but I have my suspicions.” I look at Kaelan and he tells me that it was Xandros.

“The only one who actually cared about me after Mother died.” I whisper as I stare at my hands. Kaelan puts his hand on my hands and gives them a little squeeze.

One after the other leaves the dining room and as soon as it is just Damien, Alena and myself, I get up to lock both doors to the room.

“Ronan, why are you locking the doors? No one will come in here.” She asks and Damien answers her “It is to make sure you cannot run off, Bitch.” She looks from Damien to me and I can tell that she has not realized yet what she has done.

“Alena, what were our plans in regards to May?” I ask and after I walk over to her, I sit down next to her. Her eyes widen, her mouth opens and I know that reality sunk in.

I put a hand on her knee as Damien gets up out of his seat. She is still looking at me as he makes his way around the table and by the time she figures out that he is coming for her, it is too late.

He grabs her hair and slams her face in to the table, she screams as he pulls her up by her hair. I don’t move, I just let him take his rage out on her. I see the door slowly open and Ayden is peaking in.
