A relative of the Lorimer family?
Upon hearing those words, Gabe, having not completely lost his sanity, ceased his actions.
Taking advantage of the situation, the prison bully mustered all her strength to rise. She hobbled and limped as she made her escape.
Outside, a woman in a Chanel dress and meticulous makeup, her features radiating charm, had just emerged from the restroom.
When the prison bully saw her, it was as if she’d seen her savior. “Ms. Layla, save me!”

Layla’s emotions became incredibly complicated. After a moment, she let out a deep sigh.
“I only returned to the country recently, and I’ve heard a few things about your sister. Gabe, I’m sorry. Back then, my family arranged the marriage alliance for me. I didn’t have a choice…”
“Let’s not talk about the past,” Gabe said, his tone indifferent.
Layla gave a nod. “All right, I won’t bring it up again. As for today’s matter, please do me a favor and refrain from acting impulsively. Back then, because of a single necklace, Tiffany caused your sister to spend four years in prison. Wanda is a relative from Tiffany’s mother’s side. Do you think they would let you off easily if you end up killing her today?”
Gabe fell silent.
