After Lilly hit Hannah, they were more concerned about giving Lilly a new name than addressing Hannah’s injuries?
“Here’s your favorite crab meat, Hannah…” said a saddened Winona as she placed the crab meat on her daughter’s plate.
Hannah glared at Lilly. She didn’t want to eat with Lilly. The dining table was hers, and the house was hers. What was a stray brat doing in her house?
Lilly understood what was going on but chose to ignore Hannah. She still resented Hannah for almost strangling Polly to death.
Not getting a reaction from Lilly, Hannah flew into a rage again. She threw the spoon in her hand to the ground and started crying uncontrollably.
The three boys rolled their eyes simultaneously.
There she goes again!
Winona asked, “What’s wrong, Hannah? Why are you suddenly crying?”
Hannah grabbed the plate in front of her and flung the food out, crying, “She bullied me, but all of you are ignoring me!”
Winona felt a pang in her heart as she looked at everyone at the table.
See that? It’s all your fault!
Children are very sensitive to their surroundings. By not speaking to Hannah and comforting her, you’re emotionally abusing her!
Winona attempted to console her, saying, “You’re a good girl. I’m here for you. I’m not ignoring you.”
Instead of calming down, Hannah grabbed plates and anything within her reach and threw them onto the table, screaming, “No! I don’t want to! I don’t want to eat with her! I don’t want a sister!”
Hugh struggled to control his anger as he coldly stated, “If you don’t want to eat, then leave the table! Who taught you to throw plates and utensils all over the table?”
Upon hearing her grandfather’s harsh words, she cried even harder and began kicking the dining table. She repeated, “I don’t want to, I don’t want to! I don’t want to!”
Regardless of what others said, she continued to yell the same four words, “I don’t want to!”
Everyone was left speechless.
Without uttering a word, Liam stood up and attempted to carry Hannah away from the table, but she kept squirming. This infuriated him to the point where Liam grabbed her by the collar and proceeded to drag her upstairs.
Winona immediately questioned, “What are you doing, Liam?!”
Witnessing Liam dragging Hannah by the collar caused Lilly to jolt in fear, and she dropped the piece of meat she was holding. Her father had done the same thing to her before.
Suddenly, she felt pity for Hannah.
Winona snatched Hannah from Liam and glared at him as she carried Hannah upstairs in a huff.
She felt that they had crossed a line.
Did they really need to be so cruel to a child? Could they not see the wounds on Hannah’s arms and her swollen eyes? Why were they singling out Hannah in this way?
Winona’s heart shattered into a million pieces.
Winona hugged Hannah tightly as she cried, her own tears streaming down her face.
Winona couldn’t believe how cruel the situation was. Despite being together for six years, Liam remained indifferent towards Hannah.
As they sobbed, Helen made a video call. “What’s happening?” she asked when Winona answered.
Winona proceeded to recount everything that had occurred.
“It seems I was right! When the Crawford family only had Hannah, they treated her like a princess! But everything changed when that brat joined the family!” Helen exclaimed angrily.
Hannah cried even louder upon hearing their conversation. She realized that it was the first time she had been hurt and no one cared about her.
“Mom, that’s enough,” Winona muttered in frustration. “Did I say something wrong? It’s
the truth! The fact that a blood-related child is no match for an adopted brat left me speechless!” Helen said, glaring at Winona through the screen.
“Lilly will soon inherit the Crawford family name,” Winona said. Helen shook her head and replied, “Hannah is done for when that happens! Lilly is a brat who shouldn’t be provoked. She pushed her stepmother down the stairs and caused her to miscarry. Despite that, her uncles decided to cover up the truth and caused the Hatcher family to go bankrupt!”
Winona frowned and responded, “Wasn’t it Lilly’s stepmother who caused her own miscarriage to frame her?”
“Give me a moment, I’ll send you the evidence,” Helen said. Winona received a video recording the next second. The recorder was a person using a voice changer, claiming to be a good friend of Debbie’s.
The recording showed a medical report stating that Debbie had experienced critical conditions twice due to miscarriages. Following that, a video displayed two bodyguards forcefully removing Paula,
Richard, and Stephen from the Hatcher Mansion. Moreover, the recording revealed Edward grabbing Stephen’s head and brutally smashing it against the wall.
The faces of the Crawford family were censored in the video, except for Lilly’s.
Helen said, “Who would go to such lengths just to frame a child? There’s no way Debbie would harm herself and her unborn child out of hatred. She suffered significant blood loss twice! They claim that Hannah is disobedient, but Lilly is completely outrageous! She’s a cunning brat who puts on a facade despite her young age. Lilly beat up Hannah today, yet the Crawford family turned a blind eye. This proves that Lilly has been spreading lies and badmouthing Hannah!”
Winona felt disgusted after watching the video recording. “It seems we have to be cautious when Lilly is around,” she said.
Lilly killed her stepmother’s baby; Lilly is a cunning brat; Lilly is pretending…
Hannah kept their words in mind as she listened.

The video recording was not publicly distributed. Instead, it was shared through discreet channels. The news of Lilly causing Debbie’s miscarriage and the Hatcher family’s bankruptcy had reached multiple online groups within a week. However, the Crawford family remained unaware of it until Lilly’s birthday.
The invitations to Lilly’s birthday party were sent out ahead of schedule. The Crawford family was eager to announce that Lilly was about to inherit the Crawford family name and become an official member. They had invited celebrities from all over the city.
Lilly’s wardrobe was filled with numerous dresses in different styles and colors. “Lilly, choose a dress that you like!” Bettany said, patting Lilly’s head.
“Any dress I like?” Lilly asked. Bettany nodded and replied, “That’s right. All of these are yours.” Lilly hesitated for a moment and approached Bettany. She kissed her on the cheek and said, “Thank you, granny!”
Lilly decided on a violet Lolita-style princess dress. She tied her hair in twin pigtails with two pink butterfly-shaped hair clips and wore a bow tie headband to complete the look.
“You look so adorable,” Bettany said. Lilly smiled and gently touched Bettany’s nose with her fingertip. She said, “Granny, you’re adorable too!”

Two figures sneaked around outside the lively mansion. It was Debbie and Stephen. Crawford Mansion was adorned with shining lights and filled with melodious tunes.
Debbie felt envious as she looked at the lively scene. No one knew about her sufferings. Her face was scarred, and Stephen had beaten her multiple times out of hatred. The Hatcher family treated her like a servant.
Stephen peeked around and said, “We don’t have an invitation. How are we going to get in?” Debbie suppressed her emotions and replied, “Stephen, we are Lilly’s parents. There’s no reason why we can’t enter. We just need to inform the guards. However, there is one small issue.”
Debbie felt ashamed as she looked at her shabby attire.
“What is it?” Stephen asked. “Let’s go get some formal clothes. We should dress appropriately for this special occasion,” Debbie said.
“But we don’t have any money for that!” Stephen exclaimed in frustration. “Well, I know a place where we can sell our blood!” Debbie replied.

Anthony held Lilly’s hand and led her down the stairs. She was dressed in new clothes but held onto an old bunny rag doll. Gilbert, Jonas, and Bryson followed behind her. However, no one else noticed the spirit following them.
Pablo leaned against the stair railings. He smiled and said, “Good, you’re just in time.”
Pablo snapped his fingers, and the spotlight shone on Lilly. Her violet dress began to sparkle like a starry night sky. Everyone was astonished by her appearance.
After watching the video recording, most people had changed their opinion of Lilly. Some were afraid to let their children get close to her, while others did the opposite to please her.
Hannah stood on the second floor and looked at Lilly. She pointed at her dress and said, “Mommy, I want that dress too!”
Winona admired Lilly’s dazzling dress, marveling at its magnificence. It was the first time she had seen such an exquisite garment, and she couldn’t help but think that it should have been Hannah’s instead.
“Lilly, I’ll get you another dress next time,” Winona offered. “No! I want that one!” Hannah exclaimed.
“Isn’t that an exclusive dress from GYFY? It’s the only one available, specially tailored for Lilly. If it weren’t for her, Hannah would have had it,” Helen remarked.
