“I know. They still feel like your responsibility…I understand that. When you tell Holden the truth about everything…I imagine and so does Corey, Holden will have to accept them all into his pack.”

Ella stared at her a little more than surprised.

“Honey, Corey and I know they still look at you as their Luna, don’t think we are so blind, as to what goes on around the pack. We simply chose to let them, still respect you.”

“Oh!” Ella had not known, that Lindy and Corey were aware of that.

“And come now Ella, when Ky’ra emerged did you not think both Corey and I knew who responded to her Luna Howl. She was calling to her pack members, and they all called back. We aren’t totally clueless you know. Somethings just need to be left alone is all.”

“I know but…you never said anything.”

“We never intended to either, but we will be having a good word with them, I imagine they will all want to with you. Be at your Luna Ceremony when it happens.”

“If it happens!” she muttered.

Lindy laughed “I will come and help with it, it’ll be great fun to annoy my new son. He’s a prickly one, but I’ll wear him down and loosen him up a little.” she snorted “Might even sneak some of Corey’s Pink Gin into my suitcase.”

That made them all chuckle.

“Why do you always steal his Pink Gin?” Ella had always been curious but never actually asked about it.

“Ah now that’s the question.” but didn’t answer it just smiled to herself. “Now come on, help us pack already, you have so much stuff.”

“No, I’m not helping, your making me go…you pack it.”

Though she knew she was not getting a choice in going, she didn’t have to make it easy for them, walked over and up ended the suitcase they were neatly folding her clothes into. Both of them glared at her, hands on their hips “that’s enough now.” Lindy admonished her a bit of her Luna aura flowing out of her.

Ella raised and eyebrow and Lindy chuckled knowing full well Ella could play that game in return. Once a Luna always a Luna and now she was to be Mated to another Alpha, a Luna again.

Ella had always felt her Luna powers, never lost them, just dialled down a bit over the years, but since Alpha Holdener had scented her and she him. She could feel them much stronger now, they were back and she wasn’t even Marked or Mated to the man yet.

Goddess only knew how that was going to go or even when, he wasn’t allowed to force the issue, so she could only imagine it was either on her terms, or he was going to try and seduce her into it.

‘It’ll be by seduction.’ Ky’ra piped up, Ella noted her wolfs tail was wagging a little.

‘Great.’ Ella huffed back at her ‘he’s probably seduced a thousand wolves with those eyes of his alone.’ though she wasn’t marked by him. Ella had noticed her mark spot was already sensitive, even the slightest touch to it, when brushing her hair this morning had made her twitch and shake her head, it was only going to get more sensitive with the more time she spent with him. He surely would use that to his advantage. Stupid Mate Bond.

Though she didn’t know, what he thought about her having a mate previously, she did wonder if the two small scars was a turn off to him, or if he just didn’t care about it. He had brought up her mate, so obviously wanted to know what happened. Only two things would leave her scarred like this, she could well imagine he’d already asked Corey. Who’d have probably answered the question but not elaborated on it. He wouldn’t, she knew that. He had a whole pack to protect.

No-one knew who could be told that information, without it getting back to that son of a b***h Darwin. So it was promised that no-one would ever bring it up, for everyone’s safety. Not just her pack but his as well. The violent nature Darwin had displayed in slaughtering the White Lotus Pack, could mean that he might treat any pack, who gave sanctuary to any of its members in the same manner. Not a risk either of them wanted.

Ella walked downstairs, leaving Lindy and Gabby to the repacking of her suitcase and she opened her compound bow case. Manny had fixed it and returned it to her as promised. She retrieved from the coat closet the White Lotus Gate symbol and pulling the inner lining from the top of the case she put the symbol in there and replaced the lining, pressing it in place. She smiled as she smoothed it over the symbol and a Lotus impression was revealed. She liked it.

No-one ever opened her bow case. They all knew better than to touch her weapon, so it was safe in there. The lining of the case was a little off, didn’t quite fit as snug as it used to, but that was okay with her because she liked seeing the lotus impression there, so could ignore, the imperfect fit of the lining to her compound bow case.

She touched the impression and felt a little sad, it was truly all that was left, she would take it with her, it was her only connection to her pack once gone from here. It wasn’t like she and Ky’ra could run from Blue Moon Rising Pack to White Lotus Pack, as she had been able to do from here in Half Moon Pack. Her new pack was a five hour drive away and she had at this point, no idea where it was in relation to her pack.

Ella figured she would find out when she got there. All packs had pack maps and its surrounding territory, there was usually a display in the alpha’s office, that’s where Corey had his, if not there then a war room. She knew his pack was large so probably had a war room.

She had heard he’d Alpha Duelled his older brother at just 25 for control of the pack. Everyone knew it. That was five years ago, he was 30 now, she realised, barely looked a day older than 25 when she thought about it still had smooth unwrinkled skin.

No-one likely messed with him due to that duel, or an Alpha of his size, very tall and imposing. But all packs had enemies and were subject to rogue attacks, though she hoped his pack was strong like he was. Would likely have more warriors then here, due to being more than twice the size.

He had been out retrieving those she-wolves from his pack the fist time she’d laid eyes on him, so probably had a retrieval team, at least she could have a place to fit in. she hoped he wasn’t expecting her to sit around and do nothing, she had a good set of skills and intended to use them. Didn’t like being bored anymore than Ky’ra did.

She got to spend 1 hour with the twins, watching Lindy and Gabby try and explain to them what was about to happen was hard. They had yelled and screamed and cried, then hit and kicked both Gabby and James repeatedly. Ella had opened her arms to them as she sank down to sit on the floor, they had both run right over to her and crawled into her lap and stayed there sobbing into her chest.

All she could do was hold them and promise she would come visit as often as possible, and that they could come and visit her too. Watching to two of them crying in her lap was very hard, reminded her of the day they were born. Her bond to them had always been so strong. She knew she’d promised to take care of them, essentially was supposed to be their mother, it had just been so hard for her at the time.

But sometimes, she could swear it felt like she was their mother, and that they knew it. Perhaps, it was just the Luna in her that made them so connected to her, such a strong bond, that it was breaking not just her heart, but theirs too. She talked softly to them and calmed them down. James took them away. It was so damned hard not to run after them and yank them away from him to take them with her.

She just sat there on the floor and cried at the empty space, that had been their tiny little bodies. Her babies once, only for a few days. But still they had been hers. Now she would hardly ever get to see them. Ky’ra was laying in her mind, head between her paws, tail curled around her whining along, with her tears.

She didn’t even know if she could do it. Leave them. Didn’t want too, that much she understood. No-one tried to stop her from crying it out, both Lindy and Gabby knew this was going to be hard for her. Lindy had tried to convince her not to say goodbye at all, “its not like you’re not going to see them again soon.”

Ella couldn’t do it. There was no way she could leave them, without saying goodbye, without letting them know what was going on, it just wouldn’t be right. Not fair to them and she wanted that one last hug. No matter how much it hurt.
