Filed to story: I Got Married Without You
Stella wanted to refuse, but Rosalyn used her life to exchange it. It would be unreasonable if she didn’t accept it.
After taking away the perfume, Stella told Rosalyn to rest well. Then Stella turned around, walked out of the ward, and called several security guards to check the surveillance footage.
Eva ran out of the hospital in the surveillance video and accidentally bumped into Paul. There seemed to be some quarrel between them.
But there was no significant conflict. After a few words, Eva ran out of the hospital without her in the surveillance video.
Stella pointed to Eva on the monitor and said to the security guards, “Send a few people to get her back.”
The security guards immediately took the order and went to find Eva.
After dealing with these things, Stella returned to Rosalyn’s ward.
Seeing that Rosalyn had fallen asleep and the nurse was taking care of her carefully, Stella was relieved and returned to her office.
Eva didn’t know where she had gone. After running for a long time, she found the corridor and sat in it all night.
When the security guard came over and asked if she was Eva Miller, she came to her senses. She looked at the security guard and nodded blankly.
The security guard breathed a sigh of relief and said to her anxiously, “Ms. Miller, go back to the hospital quickly. Ms. Cobb is looking for you everywhere.” Eva was stunned. At the urging of the security guards, she got up and followed them into the car.
After returning to the hospital, Eva met Daniel, who was going through the discharge formalities at the hospital branch on the first floor.
Daniel was surprised when he saw Eva and asked why she was here. Eva did not reply to him.
Being stared at by Eva’s big eyes that could see through everything, Daniel felt a little scared and subconsciously looked away. “Honey…”
Daniel called out uneasily and then asked with a guilty conscience. “The doctor said my sister’s fetal condition is unstable, so she’d better stay near the hospital before the child is born. I think our house is quite close to the hospital. Why don’t you let her stay there for a while?”
She was pregnant, but they still had to do it crazily. How could the fetus be stable?
Eva wanted to spit on him, but she held back for some reason.
There was something wrong with Eva, which was that she lacked love since she was a child and could be easily moved.
At the same time, one good thing about her was that she could quickly scoff at those who had betrayed her.
Eva glanced at Daniel indifferently. There was no love in her eyes at all, only disgust.
“Suit yourself.”
After saying that, Eva passed by Daniel expressionlessly as if she didn’t care about it at all.
Seeing Eva in a daze, Daniel wanted to catch up with her and ask her why she was in the hospital, but his arm was held by Lina.
“Did she agree to let me stay at your house?”
Daniel nodded, his eyes still fixed on the departing figure of Eva.
Lina’s face darkened, and he shook Daniel’s arm hard. “Don’t tell me you’re interested in her. We agreed that you would only use her as a tool to make money and get a high-end house for our child and me in the city…”
Daniel came back to his senses and patted Lina to comfort her. “Don’t worry, I won’t fall in love with a nightclub girl.
Eva returned to the ward and stood at the door but dared not go in.
It wasn’t that she didn’t dare to face Rosalyn, but that she couldn’t face her departure.
Eva hugged her arms tightly and slowly squatted against the wall as if the world had abandoned her. She looked extremely helpless.
When Stella took a group of doctors for inspection, she saw Eva. She quickly asked other doctors to do their work while she went forward to help Eva up.
“Ms. Miller, are you all right?”
Eva shook her head stiffly.
Stella looked at Eva’s swollen eyes and took a deep breath.
“Ms. Miller, life and death are up to fate. No one can change it.
What you can do now is to spend more time with her so as not to have any regrets in the future.”
Stella’s words woke Eva, and a trace of vitality returned to her dull eyes.
“How long… can she live?”
After thinking for a long time, Eva asked in a hoarse voice.
Stella did not hide it from her and answered honestly, “About a week…”
Eva’s body swayed, and she almost fainted.
Stella helped her and said, “You have to hold on now. Don’t fall down. Otherwise, what should Ms. Garcia do?”
Eva was a little absent-minded and nodded. “Yes, I have to hold on. I can’t let Rosalyn worry about me…”
Eva muttered to herself as she struggled to walk into the ward, exhausted.
Through the glass window, Stella saw Eva sitting in front of Rosalyn’s bed and cared her cheek.
The sunlight shone on the two poor people, shining with a gentle golden light, which seemed to warm them.
Only then did Stella understand why Rosalyn had saved money for Eva, After all, they depended on each other for survival.
When she thought of how she had been alone all these years and had never had anyone to rely on to keep her company, Stella suddenly felt sad.
Stella looked down and turned to leave, leaving the two with little time left.
Rosalyn hadn’t woken up yet and was still in a coma. Eva took the towel from the nurse and wiped her body.
Eva seemed to have calmed down. When Rosalyn woke up, there was a gentle smile on Eva’s face.
“Rosalyn, is there anything you want to eat? I’ll buy it for you.”
Hearing Eva’s hoarse voice, Rosalyn was relieved.
Frustrated, Rosalyn touched Eva’s clothes and clenched them tightly.
“Eva, are Daniel and his sister alright?”
