Eva knew she had just bumped into someone, but after suffering a double bl ow, she was in a trance and forgot to apologize.
When she heard the man say that she had broken his arm, she came to her senses and looked at his drooping left wrist. It seemed to be quite severe.
She did not say anything else and obediently took her phone from her jeans pocket.
When she scanned the code and was about to input the amount, a doctor in a wh ite coat came over.
“Mr. Evans, the orthopedics doctor, has arranged everything.”
Eva’s fingers paused, and she looked up at him indifferently. “Your surname is Evans?”
“Yes.”
After nodding to the doctor, he looked at her again and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Eva looked at Paul carefully. He had bright eyes and white teeth.
He was tall and handsome, somewhat similar to Andrew.
Her face suddenly darkened. Eva put away her phone and said indifferently. “I’m sorry, I won’t give my money to anyone surnamed Evans even if I throw it to the dogs.”
Paul’s handsome face darkened. “What do you mean?”
Eva glared at him, turned around, and ran away without saying anything.
When Paul came to his senses, she had already run away.
Paul was so angry that his face turned livid. He kicked the luxury car.
He wanted to vent his anger but kicked an iron plate, and his toes cracked!
Paul was carried into the emergency room with the doctor’s and assistant’s help.
When she heard from the nurse that Rosalyn had woken up, Stella immediately came to the VIP ward with the stethoscope.
Stella went forward to check on Rosalyn’s condition. When she found no sign of infection on the back of her head, Stella breathed a sigh of relief. “Ms. Garcia, the back of your head has been operated on. We need to observe if it’s infected. There won’t be any big problems, but…”
Stella paused for a moment and looked at Rosalyn with some regret. “Your heart is getting worse. I’m afraid you won’t be able to hold on for much longer.
Rosalyn had long known about her physical condition, so she didn’t care. “How long… can I hold on?”
Stella put her hands into her pockets and stared at her pale face. “A week or so.”
If Rosalyn hadn’t suffered such a severe injury, she could live another two months.
But the back of her head was pierced by a nail, causing her heart to accelerate. It was already a medical miracle that she could hold on for another week. Stella couldn’t help but gasp when she thought of the scene of the nail on the back of her head.
“Ms. Garcia, who nailed the back of your head to the nail?”
Andrew only sent a message to Stella, telling her that Sherry, Emily, and he had taken action against Rosalyn and asked Stella to save Rosalyn as soon as possible. But he didn’t tell Stella who caused Rosalyn’s injuries.
Stella guessed it might have been caused by a group fight, but she didn’t believe Andrew would participate.
Stella didn’t know what was happening then, so she could only ask Rosalyn.
There was a trace of loneliness in Rosalyn’s eyes. Soon, she lowered her long eyelashes to hide them.
Rosalyn was silent and seemed unwilling to speak, so Stella did not mention it again. She turned around, picked up a paper bag, and handed it to Rosalyn.
“This is what you left in the mall. A nurse brought it back for you. I put it here for you.”
Stella put the paper bag on the bedside table and said softly to Rosalyn, “Have a good rest. If you feel uncomfortable, ring the bell.”
After saying that, she turned around and was about to leave, but Rosalyn stopped her. “Stella…”
Stella turned around to look at her. “Hm? Are you feeling unwell anywhere?”
Frowning, Rosalyn looked at the paper bag on the bedside table and said, “There’s a bottle of perfume… for you.”
Stella was taken aback. She followed Rosalyn’s line of sight and looked at the paper bag. Then, she looked back at her and asked, “You… went to the mall to buy me perfume?” Rosalyn nodded, looking gentle and kind. “You gave me so much medicine. I want to thank you…”
The shock in Stella’s eyes gradually turned into gratitude. Tears welled up in her eyes, making her at a loss.
Stella stood rooted to the spot for a few minutes before walking up to Rosalyn again. Stella touched Rosalyn’s pale face.
“Ms. Garcia, I’m sorry. If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t have met Sherry. It’s all my fault.”
Rosalyn couldn’t see Stella’s expression clearly but could feel her apology. She smiled. “It has nothing to do with you…”
She had overestimated herself and wanted to give Sherry the same punishment as her.
However, she had forgotten that she was too insignificant and could not afford to offend these powers.
In exchange for this, she deserved it.
She deserved to offend someone and fall in love with someone she shouldn’t have…
Seeing the despair on her face, Stella’s heart ached. Stella could not help but bend down and hug her.
“Ms. Garcia, thank you.”
Stella hugged her gently and pulled Rosalyn back from her thoughts. It took Rosalyn a lot of effort to raise her hand and pat Stella on the back.
“Thank you for saving me. If it weren’t for you, I’m afraid I wouldn’t have had the chance to say goodbye to my sister…”
After Eva ran away, a nurse checked on Rosalyn and told her that Ms. Cobb had rushed over to save her in time.
Although she didn’t know why Stella had rushed over to save her, she would never forget her kindness. There was no need to ask any more questions. “Actually, Mr. Evans…”
Stella wanted to tell her that Mr. Evans had asked her to save her. Still, before Stella could finish her words, Rosalyn interrupted her. “Stella, where is my sister, Eva?”
Two hours had passed, but Eva had not come back yet. Rosalyn was worried that something would happen to Eva.
Stella had only been paying attention to Rosalyn and did not notice that Eva was not in the ward.
Stella looked around and said to Rosalyn, “I’ll send someone to look for her.”
Rosalyn thanked her and looked at the paper bag on the bedside table. “Stella, take that bottle of perfume.”
